Turning The Page

Legend has it that long ago, the most infamous villains were imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost, cut off from the rest of the world as a punishment for their misdeeds. In this dark and dreary place, the likes of Maleficent, Medusa, Jafar, Cruella de Vil and the Evil Queen reside and evil reigns supreme. Mal, Adeline, Evie, Jay, and Carlos are their descendants, the teenaged sons and daughters of the Isle’s most villainous characters, and they are coming of age on the Isle of the Lost. What would their choices lead up to? Would love be a spell to attract Adeline of her purpose on Auradon? Would the Descendants choose such a life?

2. Rotten To The Core

The girl moved too fast to see as she finished her spray-paint masterpiece: a purple scenery of Maleficent with the words "LONG LIVE EVIL".
Turning around and jumping down from her spot, Mal, the daughter of Maleficent, bumped a guys shoulder on purpose and sang: "They say I'm trouble, they say I'm bad, they say I'm evil, and that makes me glad!"
A boy appeared over the top of a nearby building. Jay, son of Jafar, sang as he climbed down a ladder, "A dirty no-good, down to the bone, your worst nightmare, can't take me home!"
Two girls walked down a table, making everyone move their plates. Adeline, daughter of Medusa, sang: "So I got some mischief in my blood, can you blame me?
Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen, sang: I never got no love!"
A boy with black-and-white hair appeared through a window, singing, "They think I'm callous, a lowlife hood. I fell so useless-"
        "MISUNDERSTOOD!" The five shouted together.
walked down an alley singing: "Mirror Mirror on the wall. Who's the baddest of them all? Welcome to my wicked world. Wicked world."

The five of them grabbed onto a fence, and pushed it opened. "I'm rotten to the core, core. Rotten to the core. I'm rotten to the core, core. Who could ask for more? I'm nothing like the kid next, like the kid next door. I'm rotten to the. I'm rotten to the. I'm rotten to the core."

Adeline grabbed a crow bar and started banging it on the metal buckets and pipes. The others followed her.
"Call me a schemer. Call me a freak," Mal took one of her spray cans and sprayed a purple "M" across a nearby tarp. Sliding the curtain to reveal a man showering.

"How can you say that? I'm just, unique." She sang.

Jay grabbed a teapot and faked that he was going to serve the owners.

"What, me a traitor? Ain't got your back? Are we not friends?" Jay quickly took the metal tea pot, and jumped the table. Taking a rag and cleaning it. "Wh at's up with that?"

"So I'm a misfit, so I'm a flirt," Evie sang, walking through a maze of scarves. She pulled one off the guy's neck, spinning him around.

"I broke you heart, I made it hurt." Adeline finished Evie's sentence/song. Winking at the guy.

Carlos jumped onto a tall shelf, and kicked away the buckets.

"The past is past. Forgive forget. The truth is-"

"You ain't seen nothing yet!" All five shouted.

"Mirror Mirror, on the wall. Who's the baddest of them all?"

Mal, Edaline, and Evie sang. Watching from the balcony as Carlos pulled Jay as he swung from a movable metal beam.

"Welcome to my wicked world. Wicked world."

The five of them ran all around the street. Other teens joining them as they danced freely but together to the beat.

"I'm rotten to the core, core. Rotten to the core. I'm rotten to the core,  core, who could ask for more? I'm nothing like the kid next, like the kid next door. I'm Rotten to the. I'm rotten to the. I'm rotten to the core."

As their moment ended, a mother walked past with her baby in a cart. Mal bent down and stole the baby's lollipop.
She held it up for the others to see her success. They all laughed carelessly.
The crowd suddenly screamed and ran for their life. Adeline gazed ahead and saw two henchmen coming towards them. There was only two people in this island who love to make dramatic entrances. It was either Malificent, or Medusa. Mal had her back turned to them and looked confused.
        She turned around "Hi, Mom."
The two henchmen were pushed aside by Maleficent. The two henchmen walked around, almost circling them until they got to the back of the group. Two more henchmen revealed themselves at the back of the group. Now four were watching them.
"Stealing candy, Mal?" Asked Malificent "so disappointed."
Mal saddened. "It was from a baby?" She smiled towards her mother. Hopefully not to disappoint her. She wouldn't like that.
"Ha! That's my nasty little girl!" Inquired Malificent. Grinning from ear to ear.
Mal grinned back. Mal offered the candy to her mother, who took it from her and than spat on it, put it under her arm, and handed it to one of her henchman. "Give it back to the dreadful creature." She ordered. "Mom..." Mal whined.
"It's the deets, Mal, that make the difference between mean and truly evil!" She pionted around to the Isle. "When I was your age, I was cursing entire-" The minute Maleficent realized that her daughter was coping her under her breath she sighed and stopped talking.
"Walk with me." She led Mal away from the other four other descendants. "You see, I'm just,  just trying to teach you the things that really count- like how to be me."
"I know that." Mal retorted, "And I'll do better." She promised.
Maleficent smirked at her daughter but suddenly jumped of realization.

"Oh! There's news!" She circled around herself  before pointing at the group with only five members "You five have ben chosen to go to a different school.... in  Auradon."

Adeline gasped and panic rushed through her veins. She whirled around and tried to escape the strong and strict grip one of Malificents henchmen had on her. By the looks and the sounds of Evie's small screams, the others thought the same in fleeing. All four of the descendants squirmed under the arms of the henchmen. Not until Mal put a hand in the air, signaling them to stop. Which they eventually did.
"What?" Mal exclaimed. "I am not going to a boarding school filled to the brim with prissy, pink princess!" She spat every single word, and she said it like she meant it. Trying to hold back her disgust face.
"And perfect princes!" Evie interrupted and sighed dreamily, but then she saw the disgusting glares she was getting from Mal and Adeline, "Ugh!" She spat trying to cover up her dreaming section.
"Percy and Annabeth live in Auradon." Adeline said, her arms crossed over her chest. "I hate them for everything they've done to my mother." (I know that Percy and Annabeth aren't royal but just bare with me)
"Yeah, and I don't do uniforms," Jay said, "Unless they're leather, you feel me?" Malificent eyed Jay for a while before resting her gaze somewhere else.
Carlos stood behind Adeline, gasping and digging his nails under Adeline's red leather jacket. Making her wince a bit in pain.

"I read somewhere that they allow dogs in Auradon. Mom says their vicious, rabid pack animals who eat boys that don't behave." Jay snuck up behind Carlos and barked like a dog, causing Carlos to jump in shock. He got a hold of Adeline's shoulders and jumped onto her back. It looked like a misplaced piggy back ride.
"Come on Jay, leave the poor kid alone." Defended Adeline. Throwing Carlos of her back.

"Yeah, Mom, we're not going!" Mal said.
"Oh, you're thinking small, pumpkin!" Maleficent proclaimed, "It's all about world domination!" She glanced at the five of them. "Knuckleheads! All of you!" She stopped gestured towards her henchmen who proudly followed her. She turned and walked away, cape blowing close behind her. "Maall!" She called over her shoulder almost in an angeletic voice.
Mal glanced at her four friends, then sighed and followed Maleficent, with the other four on her tail. Their footsteps loud and heavy as they walked.
