Turning The Page

Legend has it that long ago, the most infamous villains were imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost, cut off from the rest of the world as a punishment for their misdeeds. In this dark and dreary place, the likes of Maleficent, Medusa, Jafar, Cruella de Vil and the Evil Queen reside and evil reigns supreme. Mal, Adeline, Evie, Jay, and Carlos are their descendants, the teenaged sons and daughters of the Isle’s most villainous characters, and they are coming of age on the Isle of the Lost. What would their choices lead up to? Would love be a spell to attract Adeline of her purpose on Auradon? Would the Descendants choose such a life?

4. Magical Car Rides

The minute they drove ahead towards the broken bridge, Carlos and Jay eyed the snacks that were layed out for them. Mostly sweets and candy included. They started the fight over it. Pushing one another. Making Adeline scoot closer to Evie for the purpose of Jay's body almost falling on top of her and his arms constantly nudging her side. Adeline smirked, in her opinion, it was an umusing fight. Mal sat beside Evie, quiet and silent, glancing around, and Evie was way too concentrated in her makeup, no surprise on that.
Jay and Carlos got their hands on the candy. They stuffed their mouths with all sorts of candy. Not caring how they all tasted together or if they could swallow that much amount of candy.
"You're looking a little washed-out, let me help..." she said. Applying her blush brush on Adeline's cheeks. Stroking the brush in an upward position.
Adeline pushed her hand away, "Stop. Have you ever seen me wear make up."
"It's not too late to start now." Evie offered. Handing Adeline the brush, but she shook her head in response.

Evie picked up a blue stick of rock candy and tried to bite it. Resulting into making a crunching sound from breaking pieces apart. Adeline reached out for the bowl of jelly beans. She scooped a good full amount, popping the different kinds in her mouth. It was sweet and sticky, all the flavors of different jelly beans ran wildy through her taste buds.
"Juicy?" Adeline mumbled savoring each bite/chew. She tasted it before but these were different from the ones she got used to.
Carlos took a bite of a round looking chocolate (or just call it 'Reeces Cup') "Oh.... you have to try this. It's salty, like nuts, but it's sweet, like I don't know what." Carlos pat Jay on the chest to get his attention.

"Let me see." Asked Jay. Carlos misunderstood what Jay meant and instead of letting Jay try it for himself, he opened his mouth and showed him the remaining candy in his mouth. Adeline watched intensively but regretted it the minute Carlos did what he did. She gawked. Jay shook his head and snatched the the remaining part left of the mysterious candy and took a large bite.
"Dude, this is awesome." Jay said in between breaths from all the sweets he ate. Mal found a remote and from force of curiosity she clicked the one and only button there was. A window behind her opened and the driver appeared. The back of his head only seeable. From the front window everything was visible.

"Look!" Evie shouted. Catching everyone's attention.
They were driving straight forward the dome....off the end of the street, over the ocean! Everyone had thought the worst this very moment.
        "It's a trap!" Carlos screamed.
The other four screamed, huddling together, Adeline hid her face in the seat. Jay had his arms wrapped around her and Evie. Adeline had a a firm grip on Jay's arm, holding it tightly.
They drove past the dome moments later. A golden light surrounded them, and when it cleared, there were driving on a magical golden road stretching across the ocean. That's the moment they realized nothing happened. They all let go of each other. Looking into each others blank expression.
"What just happened?" Carlos wondered. Asking what everyone wanted to ask.
        "Magic." Adeline muttered.
They looked back at the Isle of the Lost shrinking behind them. No doubt on that.
"It must be magic!" Evie said, bouncing in her seat. The others looked confused. Unsure if must've been magic.
Mal turned around to the driver and said, "Hey!" Clicking a remote against the ledge. The driver glanced at her in the rearview mirror and straightened the review mirror for some sort of reason. "Did...this little button just open up the magic barrier?" She continued. Wonder filled her green eys.
"Nope." The driver looked back and held up a golden remote. "This one opens up the barrier. That one opens my garage." He reached and pressed another button. "And this button..."
Mal snorted and smiled as the screen separating the teens from the driver slid up closing all contact with him.
        "Okay..." Jay trailed off.
"Nasty." Mal commented. Grinning a bit.
"I like that guy." Adeline said. Smirking at Mal.
They relaxed and kept stuffing their mouths with sweets the whole ride to Auradon. Soon, they slid past a sign that made the whole group gag

"Welcome to Auradon Prep, where goodness doesn't get any better."

As they drove up to the school, people gathered at the edge of the side walk waving flags and cheering. People holding "Welcome" banners were standing at the corners, and a marching band was playing, and -
"Well, aren't they nice. This doesn't make me wanna puke or insult at all." Adeline said. Sarcasm noticible in her voice.
