I had no choice but to meet Luke after his football practice at the local library Thursday afternoon.
Apparently no one wants to be at a library on Thursday so I sat pretty much alone with him at one of the corner lounges
I nodded staring at him blankly as he talked. I had no god damn idea about what he was saying.
"Of course." I said randomly
"Cleo... that's wrong. It doesn't work." He said. I groaned.
"Look. I don't wanna be here either. But I have no choice and neither do you. The faster you learn the concepts, the shorter amount of time you'll have to be here with me. Got it?" He asked, holding his glasses.
"Yeah sure whatever." I said and wrote down the things he told me to.
"There you understand it now?" He asked and I nodded, actually understanding something. It wasn't a lot, but it was something.
"Nice job. Well it's time... I'll see you tomorrow. Same time. Same place." He said and I nodded, walking out.
I flipped my hair back and ran down the stairs.
"Finally done." Michael said and I nodded, walking to his car with him.
*a few days later*
"I don't see you on weekends right?"
"Sadly it's a 7 day tutor thing. I promise I didn't choose that." He said and i groaned.
"This is so damn unfair. I need to Live my life." I said
"You also need to get into a college or at least do something with your life."
"But that's stupid."
"When the time comes, it won't be." He answered and I sighed. "Well I mean, you are the bad girl type. So I don't know if it'll ever matter to you..."
"Excuse me? You don't know anything."
"I'm not ba- I'm NOT who you think I am." I said and rolled my eyes.
"Yeah so why does it look like it?" He asked and looked me in the eyes.
"Let's not go there. Just continue.." I said and he sighed looking down and teaching me more.
After an hour or so we were done.
"Can I get a ride?" I asked and he nodded.
"Sure let me know the address." He said and I shook my head.
"Just bring me to the corner stores, I'll walk from there." I said.
We got into his Range Rover as he drove me to the corner store.
"Thanks." I said and jumped out. He looked at me carefully as I waked away into the shadows.
