“Long time Robert. Why do you need me here?” Robert was the man who took Hezus away when he was young, and I really don’t like him. Nora grabbed my hand, “What do you need from me?” Robert sported a full body armor, and I can’t say that I was too surprised. Robert has always thought he was better than me, and even in the most unbelievable moments. When I think about it the only reason I don’t like him is because he took Hezus away. Anger surged through me, and I let my attention go back onto Robert. “Well, I believe my son has told you everything.” I was filled with so much anger, and as he said that I burst. “He’s not your son! You might have raised him, but you are not his birth father!” He walked over to me fast, and as he raised his hand to slap to he looked at Nora.
I could feel the heat coming from her, and then she let my hand go. I turned quickly to see her pinned to the ground. “What the hell” I yelled as blood started to run down my arms. Nora was in pain, I could feel it. “How dare you bring a firestarter into our kingdom!” I let my wings burst out of my back, “She is my wife!” The lights that were in the building burst, the glass chattering on the floor. I looked at Nora who was still laying on the ground, and she was in so much pain. “Let go, don’t control it.” Her eyes met mine, and she obeyed. The flames that were so low became high, and everyone around her started screaming. Slowly the people started to burn to death, I could feel all their pain. Even though most people would find that horrifying, but for me I find it amusing.
I don’t care about the death of other people, my only job is to take them to the gates. As she got to her feet everyone went into panic. “He slapped me, his hand stinging as it hit my face. As the pain slowly ran through my body everything started to fade into gray. I felt my wings start to lift me into the air. So much anger, so much hate, so many lies.I began speaking without thinking. “You lie, you state it as if its truth.” I looked down at the floor, down at the people I hated most. I am the god of death, I am neutral. So many lies, so many consequences that need to be given. I held my hand out in the direction of Nora, “Home.” Her body disappeared into thin air. I sent her home, what I was about to do she didn’t need to see.
I looked around to see Hezus standing there, and his eyes were glowing. Glowing gold as his wings burst out his back. “Brother stay out of this” I yelled at him. As he rose into the air it was clear he wasn’t going to. “You are not welcome here anymore” He replied as big balls of gold lighting started to fill his hands. I was so sick of him acting like he was innocent. Did he not remember what he did to mom? He shot across the room at me, and as his body hit mine I grabbed him. I looked down at him as he struggled to try to make my body move. He didn’t understand, but he soon would. He would the truth, the lies, and the consequences that came with it. “You need to know, you need your memory.”
I watched as his eyes grew big as the blood ran onto his skin. He tried to move away, but I kept him in place. I watched as the blood traveled up his face into his eyes, and I let him go. I watched as he clutched his eyes in pain, as he fell out of the air. Hezus, my sweet innocent brother some say. He’s more evil than me. I watched him kill my mother, and even though dad doesn’t like to talk about it I know he hurts. It funny that Hades of all people would hurt over the death of one woman. Hezus thinks these angels saved him, they took him away when he was just a baby. No, they took him away when we were 12. Right after he had killed, skinned, and hung our mother up on the wall. My father didn’t take it well. He called them because he needed him gone. He said that each time he saw Hezus, he saw our mother.
Angel with white wings, he doesn’t deserve it. He needs no wings. The worst part of my mothers death was that I could feel everything. All her pain, and I could feel her take her last breath. Back then I didn’t walk them to the gates, my father did. My older brother was monster not me. As his wings retreated he removed his hands, and he slowly stood up. “Fall” I said as I lowered myself to the ground. Everyone fell as I slowly made my way over to Hezus letting my wings retreat in. “Why would I do you that? Why would I hurt her?” I put a hand on his shoulder, “No one knows why.” He ran his hand through his hair, “Why did father send me here?” I looked around the god awful place, “He wanted to make you suffer. He succeeded.” He laughed pulling me into a hug.
I tried to pull away from his embrace, but he was stronger than he looked. As he let me go a voice ran through the room, “How sweet.” I turned quickly to see Robert standing a few feet away. His skin was peeling away. “I would love to listen to you chat more.” His voice was different higher, more demon like. As his skin burned away I knew exactly what type of demon it was. Sunaki, a disgusting type of demon that eats their host from the inside out. I didn’t know how I didn’t get it before, and before I could say anything all the people around us started to get up. I looked at Hezus, “This is gonna be fun.”
