3. Chapter Two (Adam)
Chapter Two (Adam)
The pain of little kids thoughts were so loud and it felt like needles to my head. I opened my eyes to see the girl in pain as well. It was then that I realized that she was the girl. I was about to cross her from the list and move on. I can't believe that I was about to do that. It's just her eyes threw me off.
She looked at me worried. She knew she gave it away, that she was a telepath. But I just had to ask, "you can hear their thoughts can't you?" She looked at me, she shook her head like she was gonna say something but she started to run to the exit. "No wait," I called running after her, "it's ok I won't hurt you." I had hoped that would help but she didn't even slow down, she ran faster. She went out to the streets and ran across to the other side, but any things happened in a blur. A rushing car came at her but missed her and hit a pole. Everything became a chain reaction, and the pole fell towards her fast. It was big compared to her, and I couldn't do anything to stop it. As it fell, it just stopped.
I looked at her amazed, but I had to get her out of here fast. We weren't alone. I saw the man looking at her amazed, but there was a flicker of fear. "Drop the pole," I told her. She looked at me and did. I took her in my arms before so she was out of harm from the pole. "How did you do that? The pole is way bigger compared to you who thought you how to do that?"
She looked at me like she was as confused as I was. "I...I don't know, I've never done that before. No one ever thought me to do that at all. I have no one," she said. If no one thought her how to do that, she must be way stronger than any of us thought. Her living with these humans made me feel bad for her, she has so much potential. I have to get her to where she belongs, to the Lost Cities.
"We have to get out of here now, we aren't alone," I said nodding to the man in the car.
