Brian saw his father on the way back to the farm he was milking the cows and making the cheese. He was instructing Serene on how it was made and see was watching his every move intently.

“Hi dad, hi Serene, I see dad has roped you in to help him with the cheese production.’

“Yes,’ isn’t it fascinating; I love to make cheese?”

“I have left your sister in the poly tunnel with Jackie my friend he is teaching her about cross pollination.’

“I am going to experiment with your cheese if you will let me.’

“Yes,‘ by all means; what do you intend to do with it?’

“I want to add some chopped chives to the final mixture; if you had some chillies I would add some of those too. When it is done I will let you taste some.”

Right then I have a field of cabbages to cut I will see you later for dinner. Oh and Jackie is coming along for dinner tonight too dad I think he’s got his eye on your sister Serene.’

Brian started up the cabbage picker then headed out to the field. He had rung Gerry Leteve and asked him to drive the delivery wagon once it was full it would go to the wholesalers on the Tyne Trading Estate where they would be sold to various outlets. The twenty ton truck ran along side of the cabbage picker and when the leaves were removed the white cabbages were then wrapped in the special packaging with the Wildacre brand mark which was an oak tree with a field of yellow wheat in the background. “OrganicWildacre Farm Produce” was written in large Olde English lettering in Green to signify that it was an Organic product and green for environmentally friendly.

The field was cleared in two hours and would be ready for turning in later that day.’

He would now plant onions that would be ready in late September.’

Gerry drove off with the Cabbage Brian told him that Jackie was staying for dinner tonight.

Janice his mother now married to Gerry was also invited.

The cheese production had gone well and Serene had made twenty rounds of cheddar cheese with chives.

It would be ready to try in a week or so as they had to keep turning it every day she also made some cottage cheese with chives and they could try that later.
