“Do you grow Zucchini here on the farm or capsicums?’

“No,’ we don’t Adrianna but it is something we are looking to grow in the future.’

“We have test fields on Wildacre where we supply the market with new types of vegetables. Last year we grew kohlrabi which is a cross between a turnip and a cucumber; it can be used in salads or eaten in soups and stews.’

“Garlic and chillies are something that we are also looking at growing in the test field.’

Would you like a tour of the farm Adrianna; I will show you where Jackie works.’

“Alright if you don’t mind; I would love to see your farm.’

“It’s my father’s farm but I run it Adrianna, he’s getting on a bit now; he is riddled with arthritis.’

“I have a herbal remedy for arthritis that he may like to try.’

“I’m sure that he would try it as he’s into homeopathy.’

They drove up to the fields with the giant poly tunnels.

“Fantastic; said Adrianna; you will be able to keep the heat in the winter here.’

“Yes,’ we grow crops all the year round here on Wildacre.’

Brian parked up then took her into the poly tunnel that was producing Organic fruit.

“Why do you grow organic fruit Brian?

“Because I believe that it is better to grow food naturally rather than kill off bees and other insects that help the farmer. They live off the pests that cause damage so it helps to restore the balance of nature.’

“It’s a wonderful idea.’

“Here hold this, he passed a large carton to Adrianna and picked some strawberries; raspberries, Blueberries.

“Try some and tell me what you think.’

Adrianna sampled the fruit then gave him the thumbs up as the juice ran down her chin.

“They are very juicy aren’t they?’

“Yes,’ they are and the good thing about our fruit and vegetables is we sell “Organic wobbly produce.’

“Wobbly what is this?’

“Oh sorry, bent or misshaped fruit and vegetables.’
