The next morning, Maddie woke up to knocking on her door.
She lazily dragged her feet across the floor and ran a hand through her hair to look somewhat presentable. A smile broke out across her face when she saw who was at the door.
"Jackson!" Maddie threw her arms around her boyfriend's neck and his around her waist. She hadn't seen him in several days, but the reasons that he was gone were unknown to her. She was very oblivious.
"Hey, Maddie" Jackson rolled his eyes slightly and sighed, Maddie never noticing. Jackson didn't really like Maddie, he only wanted her virginity and then he would leave her, and that's what he was here to do.
He pressed his lips against hers with so much force that she stumbled back and hit a wall. He trailed harsh kisses along her neck and collarbone, his hands pulling her shirt up. She didn't even have time to react to any of it, and she was so overwhelmed she almost choked on air that she swallowed. Maddie shoved him off.
"What was that for?" He grumbled slightly. He wasn't happy she stopped his actions.
"I'm not ready for that yet, Jackson. You know how many times I've told you." Tears welled up in her eyes when he rolled his and reached for the door knob.
"Where are you going?"
"I have to meet up with someone." He mumbled, clearly annoyed.
"But you were about to-"
"Look, I don't have time. I have to go." He pressed.
"Oh, but you have time for sex, don't you? I'm not going to have sex with you anytime soon, why can't you just accept that-"
She was cut off by a door closing in her face. Maddie walked forward and pressed her back against the door and slid down crying. He did this every time he visited but Maddie didn't have the heart to break things off.
Luke was visiting his friend, Calum, today. Luke and Calum had only ever hung out at Luke's place, so Luke didn't know where Calum lived until a few minutes ago. Calum actually lived in the same apartment complex as Maddie, so Luke was happy when Calum told where he lived.
Arriving at Calum's apartment, Luke furrowed his brows when he saw it was a few doors away from Maddie's. He was happy about that, but he wasn't happy when he saw Maddie jump into a man's arms. Luke shook his head and knocked softly on the door so he didn't scare Calum. He had always been a bit jumpy.
Calum shyly opened the door to his small apartment.
"Hi Calum!" Luke wrapped his arms around Calum in a "bro hug" while Calum blushed. Calum was gay, but Luke wasn't really his type. Calum and Luke were too good of friends to develop feelings for each other. He only blushed because he loved the feeling of being in someone else's arms. Calum pulled back and walked into his living room with Luke looking around curiously. Considering the fact that these places were cheap, it was pretty small but Calum managed to make it look nice.
"It's nice, Cal" Luke complimented. Calum was bullied all throughout junior and senior year when he came out, so Luke made sure to be extra careful around his friend.
"Thanks, what do you want to do?" Calum asked softly.
"We could watch a movie?" Luke suggested. Calum nodded and picked up Mean Girls from his DVD case.
Just as Regina was hit by a bus, Luke's phone beeped. He picked it up and saw that Maddie texted him. He quickly unlocked his phone and read her message.
Maddie: hi :(
Luke: Hey what's wrong?
Maddie: I'll explain later, could you cheer me up?
Luke: who tf do I need to beat up
Maddie: shhh no one just make me laugh
Luke: how do you lose five pounds in a few minutes?
Luke: you buy something in London :-D
Maddie: OMG IM PEEING THAT WAS GOLD
Maddie: no that was dumb
Maddie: jk that was cute
Maddie: that nose isn't tho
Luke: Michael says that all the time!!
Maddie: stop being so happy and shit
Luke: r u sure ur okay?
Luke: really, are you okay?
Maddie didn't respond after that.
Calum had secretly been looking at Luke's phone, so Luke was confused when Calum asked him about Maddie.
"Is that the girl who lives in room 328?"
"Yeah, I guess." Luke frowned, he didn't like it when she was upset.
"Go talk to her, she might really need it." Calum was always good at helping people. Luke smiled lightly.
"You sure, I might not come back." Luke was concerned because he knew how easy it was to hurt Calum's feelings. Calum nodded.
"You can go, you've been here for a few hours anyway." They both stood up and Calum walked Luke to the door.
"Bye, Cal." Luke hugged Calum again and pulled back, making his way to Maddie's.
I'm cringing so hard at how bad these chapters used to be im laughing
