“We Must Act Now!”
We must act now! You see people committing crimes around the United States. I am from Milwaukee. In milwaukee (as you probably heard) were not the brightest city in Wisconsin. Milwaukee is the top ten dangerous city in the United States. We have the crime rate of 1,364 violent crimes per 100,000 people. Says the article “Crime in America 2015: Top 10 Most Dangerous Cities Over 200,000.” Whether it’s from rape to cereal killing we need to act now. I’m not asking anyone to be perfect, but we can try and stop the violence. Using courage, trust, and leadership I believe we can act now!
I went to the movies to go see “He Named Me Malala.” I am sure you guys have heard of Malala’s history. She was a girl who had a lot of courage, faith, and leadership. She stood up for what she believed in and acted immediately. People tried turning her down, even shot her in the head. What touched me was, that even made her more determined to act now. Because of her actions she helped other people around the world stand up. Malala won the youngest person ever to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
In my neighborhood I usually see the police come around numerous times. To me that is very offensive. The police needs to come a check on us like a parent watching a child. That’s not acceptable! People of milwaukee, we need to act now! People of the United States we need to act now! Jeffrey Dahmer a cannibal raped, murdered, and many more. How he was taught that? From the environment around him? From his parents or family? Change is happening in our world today and we need to act now.
I leave you with this simple message that we need to act now. Our world is filled with so much hatred and evil. Ever
since the first settlers arrived in the U.S. we’ve gotten worser and worser each year. Everyone let’s be like Martin Luther King
J.r. Or Let’s even be live Malala. You know what let's be like you. I believe you can make a difference in the world. I believe
I can make a difference in the world. I believe everyone can. So what do you say? Lets all act now!
