INT. CARTER’S CAR - AFTERNOON
CARTER, 18, tall and lean with soft features and dark hair, is drumming his fingers on the steering wheel while waiting for the traffic to move ahead. The radio is BLARING a house song and CARTER dials down the volume. A CAR HORN can be heard and CARTER sighs, leaning back against the headrest.

The host’s voice is replaced with static and CARTER pulls up outside a house. LILLE, a smiling blonde girl, knocks on the window of the passenger seat, a “birthday girl” badge visible over her outfit. CARTER turns off the radio.
