"So this is the Russian way of college," Jessica said, as we walked to my first class, Monday morning.
"Yeah, it's mainly the same, but you can't use your laptop, tablet, or phone, as a searching device. If you need info, books, articles and magazines are were you go. Oh and there's no WiFi here," I said.
"Wow, that's really....how do you manage?," she asked.
"You get used to it," I said.
She nodded and kicked at the snow.
"But the weather here is crazy," she said.
"Agreed. It's been -20 degrees Fahrenheit," I said.
"Wow, that's really cold," she said.
"Yeah, that's the day they told us to stay indoors. They don't have snow days, but they do have really cold days," I said.
I took her to the building were my first class was.
"Welcome to my annoying business class," I said, leading her to it.
I opened the door and saw my professor clearing the blackboard.
"Mr. Wiger?," I asked.
He looked at me.
"Yes Miss Emily?," he asked.
"This is Jessica. She came from the US. My friend from my first college year. I was wondering if she could join class today?," I asked.
"For today only? Or the rest of the semester?," he asked.
"Only today," Jess said.
"Oh well you are more then welcome to join. Just don't steal any ideas to take back home," he winked.
I rolled my eyes.
"You can sit-"
"She can sit with me," I said.
"But you have only one chair," he said.
"It's okay, we learned how to share a seat," Jessica giggled.
"Okay then. Class is starting soon so go sit down," he said.
Me and Jess went over to my desk.
"He's nice," Jess said.
"Yeah right. Just wait until he starts teaching and you're like 'What the hell is he talking about?'," I lowered my voice.
Jess covered her face a laughed.
Nathan came in and took his seat in front of me, turning to face me.
"Who's that?," he asked.
"This is Jessica. Jess this is Nathan, Nathan this is Jess, from the US," I said.
Jess laughed, but then stopped.
"Wait you're the one who...??," she started.
"Yes he's the one," I said.
Jess frowned at him.
"Emily did you really go and tell everyone that we kissed?," Nathan said.
"FYI, I'm in a relationship, well was, with Harry Styles. He saw us and got mad. Now he won't answer my calls or texts, because of you. Jessica is Niall's girlfriend so of course she'll know," I said.
Nathan rolled his eyes.
"Anyways nice getting to know you," he said to Jessica, smiling.
"Yeah, you too," she said.
He turned to the front.
Jess poked my side.
"What?," I asked.
"I didn't know Russian dudes can be cute," she whispered.
"Oh pa-lease!," I said.
"I'm joking, I'm joking," she laughed.
Nathan pulled me aside after class, along with Jessica.
"Can I talk with you Emily? In privet?," he asked.
"Yeah," I said, looking at Jess.
"I'll go wait outside," she said, and skipped away.
"What?," I asked Nathan.
"Emily, please forgive me. I didn't mean it to turn out this way! I want to go back to being friends," he said.
I sighed and hung my head.
"Give me time okay? What you did made a whole mess in my life and I want to straighten it out," I said.
"Emily it's been a month and a half-"
"Nathan, time. Give me time," I said and walked away.
I found Jessica outside in the sun, that eventually came out.
"Hey," I said.
She opened her eyes.
"So what was that all about?," she asked.
"He's asking for forgiveness," I said.
"Yeah, now he just wants to forget that incident and go back to being friends," I said.
"But how can I just forgive him? HE'S the reason I don't have contact with Harry," I said.
"So what did you tell him?," Jess asked.
"To give me time," I said.
She nodded as we walked to the cafe.
"So two hot chocolates?," I asked her.
She smiled and nodded.
"Urgh! I hate this! I hate writing from my brain!," I yelled, slamming my notebook.
"I feel you girl," Jess said, putting on make-up in front of my mirror.
I sighed. Jessica was going back today.
"When will you come and visit again?," I asked.
"Soon. Probably with Niall," she smiled.
"That would be nice," I said.
She put her cosmetics in her bag, and zipped up her suitcase.
"When's your flight again?," I asked.
"Two, and it's twelve fifteen now," she said looking at her watch.
"Someone's coming to get you?," I asked.
"Yep, called a taxi."
"Someone's gonna pick you up?," I asked winking.
"Oh you know it," she smiled.
I sighed and put my books away, going to sit by her on my bed.
"I'll miss you," I said and put my head on her shoulder.
"Yeah me too," she giggled.
"At least now I have my phone so we can chat more often," I said.
I went through my contacts and found Harry's.
Jess took my phone and called him.
"It's been like that for a while now," I said.
She nodded, and looked at her shoes.
"Well, I guess I'll make you some hot chocolate or coffee, before you leave?," I asked, getting up.
"Coffee please, I need to wake up," she laughed.
I nodded and walked downstairs.
I remembered when Harry used to make breakfast for me and the smell of coffee that was always in the kitchen.
Jessica came downstairs with her bags.
"Oh you're leaving?," Alisa asked.
"Yeah, today's the day," Jessica giggled.
Alisa hugged her.
I'm glad they got along fine.
"Well I'm off to the gym," Alisa said.
"See you later," I waved.
She left and Jess came into the kitchen.
"Here you go ma'am. Fresh coffee," I said.
"Why thank you," Jessica said, laughing.
"My pleasure," I said.
Soon we heard honking outside.
"Well that's my ride," Jess said, walking outside.
The driver came and took her suitcase.
"I'll see you soon bestie," she said, hugging me.
"Yeah, call me once you're safely back home. Or send a selfie with Niall," I said.
"Oh I definitely will," she giggled, getting into the car.
I waved and she drove away.
Sighing I went back inside.
Back to homework.
I grabbed my coffee and went back upstairs.
