20. Chicago

Emily's P.O.V.

"Chicago's so beautiful," I said, starring out of our hotel rooms, huge window, drinking a cuppa tea, as Louis would say.

"Mhmm," Harry said, coming to me wrapping his arms around my waist from the back.

We both starred at the starry night sky, as Chicago started lighting up.

Harry kissed my neck gently.

"Do you know what sounds nice?," he asked.

"What?," I asked, putting my cup down and turning to face him.

"If you wore that dress you wore to the AMA's," he said.

"What?," I asked again, confused.

He nodded.

"Do you have it?," he asked.

"Um...yes," I said slowly.

"Then put it on, and some make-up," he said, smiling.

"Okay...," I said, and did as I was told.

I found the blue dress, neatly folded in a plastic bag in my suitcase, and my matching blue heels. I grabbed my make-up bag and went to the bathroom.

I put my hair in a half bun, half down hair-do, and put my make-up on.

Then I slipped into the dress. It reminded me of the time Harry took me to the AMA's asking me to be his girlfriend.

I sighed and looked myself in the mirror. Slipping my heels on, I walked out to find Harry, dressed up in a tuxedo.

"Mr. Styles...can I ask. Why are we dressed so elegant?," I asked.

"You'll see," he smiled, taking my hand.

I took my small purse, and our room key, and took his outstretched hand.

We walked out to the hallway, to the fancy elevator.

Yeah, we were staying in the hotel in central Chicago, fancy and all that.

Once we reached the lobby Harry lead me down a corridor. We took a left and there was an open room with a fancy chandelier hanging from the ceiling. It looked like a ballroom or something.

And there was a restaurant connected here. It was connected with the hotel.

Harry smiled, looking at me.

We walked to the restaurant and the guy at the door met us.

"Table?," he asked.

"Harry Styles," Harry said.

"Right this way sir," he said, in a French-ish accent.

He lead us upstairs to an open balcony were tables were set out, to a nice quiet place were you could see all of Chicago and the Navy Pier, and Lake Michigan.

"And what would you like to drink?," the waiter-guy asked.

"I'll order one red wine," Harry said.

"Right away sir," the guy answered and disappeared back inside.

I looked around and took everything in. The table lit candles, the starry sky above us, the rustling of trees nearby, the soft romantic music playing.

"Harry....you shouldn't have...," I said.

"But I did. Because I love you," he said, pulling a chair back for me.

I smiled at him and sat down.

"It's beautiful," I said.

"That's why I brought you here," he said, sitting down too.

I looked into his beautiful green eyes, which pierced straight into mine.

We got interrupted by another waiter, who gave us the menu's.

Harry cleared his throat and looked at his.

I giggled after a couple of minutes.

Harry looked straight at me, grinning, wanting to know what the joke was or why was I laughing.

"I just can't pick anything! There's so much to try from!," I giggled, looking through all the pages of the dinners they offered here.

Harry chuckled.

"Why don't we get two separate dishes of something we both really want, and split them?," he asked.

"Yeah that would be nice. Have you ever eaten here before?," I asked.

"Yes, with mum and dad," he said, smiling.

"Ahh, so got any advice of what to try?"

Harry chuckled some more.

"Mum really like that Rosemary Chicken, with mashed potatoes, and asparagus," Harry said.

I found it on the menu, just as the waiter brought two glasses and a bottle of red wine.

"Thank you," Harry said.

"Are you ready to order anything?," the waiter asked.

"No, we need a couple more minutes, if we may," I said.

"It's okay, take your time," he said, smiling and going over to the other couple.

"So Rosemary Chicken you say," I said.

Harry nodded.

"And what will you get?," I asked.

"Medium roasted stake, with mashed potatoes, and asparagus," he said, looking at me to see if I'd agree.

"Sounds good," I said.

"Well then, let's pour the wine," he smile and opened the bottle, pouring both of us half a glass.

I smiled and took a sip.

Harry reached over to hold my hand and stroke it with his thumb.

I squeezed his hand.

"I love you so much Emily," he said, looking at me, with sparkles in his eyes.

"I love you too Harry," I said.

He kissed my hand.

Jessica's P.O.V.

I paced around the hotel room, thinking of how to warn Emily.

Niall came out of the bathroom and caught me by the waist.

"Hey baby," he said, looking into my eyes, then down on my lips and back at my eyes.

"H-hey," I said, avoiding his eyes.

"Something wrong?," he asked, trying to catch eyes contact.

"No...everything is...fine," I said, sighing, finally looking into his blue eyes.

"You sure?," he asked.

I nodded.

"Okay, well then. I have a question," he said.

"Yeah?," I asked.

"You have that purple dress with you? The one you wore for the AMA's?," he asked.

"You'll be needing it," he winked.

"Where are we going?," I asked.

"It's a surprise," he said, smiling.

"Okay...so you want me to get dressed?," I asked.

"Mhmm," he nodded.

I got the purple dress out and my purple heels and went to change. Where ever he's taking me I must remember to take my phone with me...or else.....

I let my long hair down, it reached right above my bum. I had highlights on the bottom now, it went nice with my brown hair.

I slipped on the dress, put the heels on, added more make-up on, and walked out to see Niall in a blue tux.

He spun around, quoting my favorite quote:

"My names Bond. James Bond."

I started giggling. He smiled and walked over to me putting his gentle hands on my hips.

"Whats so funny Mrs. Horan?," he asked, making a duck face while talking.

"Nothing...," I said, still giggling a bit.

"Oh nothing you say?," he said and started tickling me.

"Nialll sttaaahhhhppppp," I yelled.

"Okay then," he said, pushing me up on the wall, planting sweet kisses up my neck then finding my sweet spot.

I let out a gasp.

"I can't wait till we finally do it. Get married...have children....be a family. That's all I ever wished for. And I'm so lucky I found you. And I also should be happy Harry found Emily, who told him about you, who told me about-"

I slammed my lips to his, to silence him.

He chuckled and kissed back.

"So," I said, pulling away, "Where are we going?"

"This way," he said, leading me to the door.

I grabbed my hand-bag and walked out, to the elevator and to the lobby. Through a hallways into, what looked like a ballroom.

Niall pointed to the connected restaurant.

"I didn't even know they had a connected restaurant here," I said, very surprised.

Niall chuckled and lead me to the entrance.

"Mr. Horan?," he said to one of the guys at the door.

"Right this way sir," the tall one answered, and lead us up a flight of stair, to what looked like the roof, which was elegantly decorated and there were tables and tree plants and music and everything. A view at Chicago and...

"It's so beautiful," I gasped.

"That's why I brought you here," Niall whispered into my ear.

"What would you like to drink?," the waiter asked.

"One red wine, please," Niall said.

The waiter nodded and disappeared.

Niall pulled out a chair for me.

Before I sat down I noticed Emily and Harry on the far end of the room/roof. Harry was holding her hand, talking, and she was looking at him in a loving way, smiling, and agreeing with something he said.

I sat down and so did Niall.

"Why couldn't we just double date?," I asked.

"Harry and I wanted to do it this way," Niall said.

I nodded and studied the menu the waiter brought us.

"Jess," Niall suddenly said.

I quickly looked at him. He pointed behind me.

Emily and Harry were both waving and laughing.

I waved back, cracking a smile.

"So...tell me," Niall said, "Who was this gentleman that rescued my baby, when she got stuck on a parking lot with no gas?"

I gulped. I'd have to lie...Again.

Emily's P.O.V.

I giggled and looked back at Harry.

"Jess looks so surprised," I said.

"I can't agree more," Harry chuckled.

"Are you ready to make your orders?," the waiter asked, coming up to us.

"Yes, yes indeed," Harry said, "Em you wanna go first?"

I thought and nodded.

"I'll have a medium roasted stake, with mashed potatoes, and asparagus," I said, then looked to see Harry's reaction.

He hid his smile, by biting on his lip.

"And I'll have the Rosemary chicken, with mashed potatoes, and asparagus," Harry said, starring at me the whole time.

"Okay, will that be all?," the waiter asked.

"Yes," I answered.

"Excellent, you're dinner should be ready in fifteen minutes," he said and disappeared inside.

"Oh Emily...what am I going to do with you?," Harry smiled.

"What do you mean, silly?"

Harry threw me a 'oh-you-better-not-start-now' look.

I bit my lip and ducked my head.

"What I mean is that I'd like to see you ride me tonight," he leaned in closer.

I blushed. Harry smirked.

"Horny pants," I whispered back.

He raised an eyebrow, then chuckled deeply.

I sighed, looking up at the sky.

Harry put his hand back on mine and kept it there, until our meals came.

"Rosemary chicken for you sir, and a medium roasted stake for you ma'am," the waitress said.

Harry choked back a laugh.

"Thank you," I managed to say.

She nodded, smiled and went to Niall's and Jessica's table. Harry exploded laughing.

"Shhh, it's not that funny," I said.

"It sounded so wrong," he said.

"Hush silly," I said, more concentrated on my plate then on his reaction.

"Miss Emily...I must inform you that that is NOT your plate," Harry said.

It took a knife and cut off a piece of stake and popped it into my mouth.

Harry grinned, and took a bite of chicken.

"Yours is good," I said, giving him his plate.

"So is yours," he said, giving me mine.

We both ate our food in mostly silence, which I didn't mind, because the soft music, filled it in.

Once we finished, we heard louder music coming, but from inside. I gave Harry a confused look.
He got up and gave me his hand.

"Can I ask you, for a dance?," he asked.

"Why certainly," I giggled taking his hand.

He lead me inside, out of the restaurant, into the ballroom, were there was a bunch of tables set out with deserts and a band playing in the corner, with the lights dimmed a bit, and people standing here and there.

"How on earth...?," I asked, in shock.

"Surprise," Harry winked.

I noticed some other celebrities here, like David Beckham, Kim K, even the 5SOS lads.

"Hey Harry, this was a really nice idea," David said, coming up to us.

"Thank you," Harry said.

David smiled and walked over to his wife.

"You planned all of this?," I asked.

Harry's eyes shone and he nodded.

"What for? Is it like someone's birthday....," I slowly said.

Harry chuckled.

"Oh my gosh....I totally forgot!," I said.

"Happy Birthday my dear," he said.

I blushed, and giggled, and felt embarrassed.

"How could I have forgotten!?," I asked.

"Our schedule. Russia. All those weird texts. Anyone would of forgotten. I planned this party since a month ago, and wanted Niall to bring you here, and apologize, but we met at the fashion show and all that..well you know," Harry said.

I nodded in agreement.

I saw dad and mom standing in the corner talking with Liam.

Then I noticed Lottie, and Niall's parents, along with Anne and Robin too.

"You're so amazing," I said, hugging Harry.

He exhaled and held me tightly.

"Only amazing for you my darling," he whispered.

We danced to the music, and ate some cakes.

"Whats my present Mr. Styles?," I winked.

"Well, half of it you're getting tonight, the other half you're getting when we go to Miami," he said.

"What's the 'tonight' half?"

"Oh you'll see," he smirked.

"I think I know already," I smirked back.

He chuckled.

"HAPPPPYYYY BIRTHDAYYYYYYY EMMMMMMMM," Jess said, putting an arm around my shoulder.

"Jeez, Jess how many drinks have you had?," I asked, giggling.

"What drinks?," she asked trying to stand up straight.

"Hello, lovely people. Let me get this young lady escorted to her room," Niall said, taking Jessica's waist.

"Oh Niall, I don't want to go anywhere...I wanna stay here," Jess slurred her words, barely standing now.

I choked back my laughter.

Niall sighed and picked her up bridal style.

"What is it with her?," Harry asked.

"She's like this, at parties," I answered.

"No, but she's acting different...," he said.

I shrugged.

"It's been like since that time she got lost and didn't have gas to drive home," he said.

"Yes, but she's okay. Trust me," I said, placing a hand on his chest, fixing his tie.

Harry looked at my hands.

"Perhaps....we should...you know...," he said, pulling my dress teasingly up.

"I want to stay a bit here for now and enjoy some more company," I said.

"Oh alright," he groaned and winked, "You keep me waiting with an erection."

I giggled, walking over to mom and dad.

"Happy Birthday sweetie," mom said.

"Thank you. I totally forgot it's my birthday today," I said.

"Well you did have quite a roller coaster of life, I'm not surprised that you did," dad chuckled.

"True, true," I said.

"So how does it feel to be 20?," mom asked.

"Nothing different. Maybe just a year older," I laughed.

Mom and dad did too.

"Helllooooo, pretty girl. Can I have this dance?," Liam asked, walking up to me.

"Uh sureeee!," I said, smiling.

He took me to the dance floor and swooped me away with the music. I must admit he's a good dancer ( like seriously, he is SUCH a good dancer!).

"So how's life?," he asked, chuckling.

"Good, thank you. How's yours?," I asked.

"Good, good. Gonna have some fun with Mr. Styles tonight?," he winked.

"Oh hush it you," I said.

He chuckled and smiled, dancing away with me.

Once the song ended, I went to find Harry, who was sitting on one of the tree plant's huge vase.

"Hey there," he smiled, taking a sip of his red wine.

"Hi," I smiled back, and sat down next to him.

"Did Liam step on your shoes?," Harry asked, chuckling.

"No he's a really good dancer," I admitted.

"Better then me?," Harry asked.

"Maybe," I said.

"Maybe?," he raised his eyebrows.

I bit my lip and looked at the crowd.

"Who's better me or him?," Harry asked.

"You silly," I said, then covered my mouth.

"Oh Emily.....," Harry said, smirking.

I blushed and ducked my head.

Harry took my hand leading me out of the ballroom, through the hallways, to the elevators.

I bit my lip looking into his eyes, which were lit, sparkling in the lights, dancing around with mine.

The elevator opened and we got in. Harry pressed level #40, yes 40!, that's how high up our room was.

The elevator doors closed and Harry turned to me.

"Oh Em," he said, pushing up against the wall, his hand making it's way to my dresses zipper.
