The three of them and Chris walked into the elevator. "This apartment is fairly high on the block, so just hope you aren't scared of heights." Chris pressed the button of the eleventh floor and the doors closed. "I call the room closest to the window!" Izzy exclaimed, "I wanna see the whole city and pretend that I'm a giant monster that's planning total domination!" She then made some monster noises. "Yeah, I call the room furthest from Izzy." Noah stated, "sorry Eva." "Like I care what room I'm getting, I don't plan on spending much time in there anyway."
"We're here!" As the doors opened Chris showed them to a door that had the number ninety four on it. Chris gave the key to Noah. "While there's only one key, I suggest you hold onto it, I just feel that in your hands it's less likely to get lost, or crushed." Chris looked behind Noah at Eva and Izzy. "You'll have time to make copies later." Chris opened the door and led the others inside. "Okay, lay down your stuff in your room and I'll lay down the rules." The three then separated and went into different rooms. There was a blue room, a green room and a purple room. The window room was the green one, of course Izzy had that room. Noah got the blue room and Eva had the purple room.
The rooms were fairly empty, nothing there but a bed and a white wardrobe. "The rooms are empty so you can put your own stuff into it." Chris said as they walked into the living room. The walls were white and grey and there was a television and a black couch where the three were seated. "I don't understand why you need to walk us through all this, we can handle ourselves." Eva said, "I'm not as temperamental as I used to be you know."
"Now I need to tell you something important. As we all know, you need money to pay for the house, and to pay, you need a job." Noah rolled his eyes. "This isn't elementary school Chris, we know. We were planning on looking for a job in the city shortly after arriving." The other two nodded. "That would be the reasonable and normal idea, but why do you think I would've brought you all out here if I wasn't going to use you in some way," as the three looked at each other Chris laughed, "oh come on guys, you should've seen this coming, I mean really." "What? But you said we weren't competing in any competition." Eva reminded him. Chris put his hand up to ask for their silence.
"I'm asking for all of you to work, for me." "What? No way! I've worked for before, you spat coffee in my face and fired me, it's not like working for you was easy anyway." Noah stood up and planned on walking off. "Now, I didn't even say what I wanted you to do yet! Sit back down!" Chris demanded. Noah slowly sat back down again avoiding Chris' glare. "As I was saying. I wasn't you guys to work for me, but as something different than what you'd think. You see, as a celebrity, there are tons of admirers, as well as haters. So there are always going to be people who will do bad things just to either get closer to me it get back at me."
"Just get on with it!" Chris stared at Eva, she was getting tired of him. "Anyway. So in acts of these motives, some people have stolen from me. This is where you come in, I want you to go undercover and retrieve the stolen items for me, spy movie style." Izzy seemed to like this idea a lot. "Yeah! Team E-Scope! Finally a proper spy team! I always wanted to be a spy! Like a real real spy that does actual spy stuff with gadgets." "Well, glad to see someone is optimistic." Chris stared down at the other two, "so, what do you guys think?"
Eva and Noah stared at each other. It seemed like an idea straight out of the ordinary and as its Chris there's bound to be danger everywhere, but they needed the money, what choice did they have? Noah sighed. "Alright, I'll do it." Seconds later Eva grunted a response. "Sure, nothing better to do." Chris then got up to leave, but not without giving them needed instructions. "Your first assignment starts in two days time, meet me outside the building at noon, don't be late." With that Chris left. For a few seconds the room was completely silent.
Izzy slid in between Noah and Eva. "So, we're finally getting the team back together! Aren't you excited?" The two looked at Izzy. They sighed and looked away simultaneously. They honestly didn't want to do this, at all, they were just doing it for the money. "Well," Noah struggled find something to say, "it's different." Eva didn't say a thing at all, instead she just walked off muttering, "I'm going to unpack my things." Izzy watched as she left. "I should too, you wanna come with me teammate?" Before he could answer she dragged him with her to her room. "C'mon! It'll be fun!"
Eva watched as they went into Izzy's room. "That girl is crazy," she said to herself, "how am I meant to live with that?" She walked into her room, it was a light purple colour. Her suitcase was already on her bed. She decided to take the dumbbells out of her bag and start getting ready for the first mission, Chris needed her strength, so she was going to give it to him, not for him though, she just wanted to spite him by completing the mission as easily as possible. There must have been a reason he asked those three especially to do the job, but why them?
