Drawn To Him

Leah Carter has just moved to London. Leaving her old city, which is on the other side of the country, behind, she starts life afresh in a small but nice neighbourhood. While being far away from her one and only best friend Harper, Leah knows she has to forget her and move on, but will that be so easy when being new in an unknown town and a school surrounded by hot badboys and popular bitches?

3. two

Today was my first day at school. I barely had any sleep the night before because i was so stressed about everything. You see, i kind of suck at meeting new people and making new friends, and not to mention i make the worst blunders at worst times. So i was basically picturing the worst possible blunders i could make on my first school day, in my head all night.

By the time i did fall asleep it was already 7.00 AM, and that's when my alarm awoke me. Great.

I got up to go to the shower downstairs and instantly felt so cold as if i was standing outside in some freezing weather. Naked. Thanks to the owner who got the stupidest idea of putting the bathroom DOWNSTAIRS.

I stripped off my pyjamas and hopped into the shower. After the shower i went back to my room and put on a black skirt after i had put on my undergarments. I then put on a white top, tucking it in the skirt. To complete my outfit i put on a light-washed denim jacket, and added a few necklaces.

I rushed to my dressing table and sat down in front of it. I studied myself in the mirror. I had long, light-brown wavy hair which i mostly liked to have straightend. My eyes had a brownish color and my brows were neatly done. My skin wasn't perfect, but not that bad either. Luckily i never had dark circles underneath my eyes, so there was no need for coverage, but i still had a daily make-up routine which included putting on a big amount of foundation. Although people always gave me comments as 'your skin is flawless!' and 'you don't even need make-up!', i never really listened to them.

I quickly did my foundation routine, and also put on a natural amount of eyeliner, mascara, and a bit of eyeshadow.

I thought i should keep it simple and not to outdo myself, but, first impressions always count..!

Downstairs my mum had already placed my breakfast on the table.

"Goodmorning honey," she said. "Morning mum. Where's dad?" i asked, while kissing her on the cheek.

"He already left for work. He has to leave early to arrive on time, since there will be a lot of traffic. You know how busy London can be."

I nodded.

"Sooo, ready for your first day at school?" my mum grinned.

I gave her a look. "Yeah, i'm veryyyy exited, can't you see?" i replied, with fake enthousiasm.

My mum just laughed it off. "Whatever hun, well i gotta go drop your sister off to school and then go to work. Good luck at school!"

"Bye, don't get lost," i mumbled.

I quickly ate my breakfast and glanced at the time.

8.15 AM.

School starts at 8.45 and it would take me at least more than half an hour to find it.

What am i saying? I knew my way. Yeah..

I put on my vans, grabbed my bag, and ran out of the house.

Thank God i was smart enough to take the right bus.

Well, let's just say it was more like a lucky guess.

The bus stopped at the school, and i waited for everyone to get off. In the bus i already got some curious glances from a few people, probably wondering who i am.

I made sure not to forget my bag in the bus, and then got off too.

There it was.

Westminster Community Academy.

It was pretty big compared to my old school. But somehow i preffered the look of this school. It seemed like they actually offered a proper education, when in my previous school, no one took the education serious. The only thing the students did there, was messing around and hiding in the toilets instead of going to lessons. Although i admit i might have been one of them..

I found the reception sooner than expexted, since it was straight across of the entrance of the schoolbuilding.

I went up to the front desk and the secretary looked up.

"Hi, i'm new here. I came to collect my schedule," I said, and she nodded.

"Leah Carter."

The secretary started typing straight away, and then printed two sheets.

"Okay sweetheart, you're in room fourty-five at the moment. I will get you someone to take you there, since it's a bit hard to find." She handed me the two printed sheets and also a key.

"This is your locker key. The lockers are straight down that hallway, on the left. You've already got all your books for the lessons sent home and brought the ones you will be needing for today with you, am i right?"

I nodded.

"Okay, you can go put your stuff in your locker while i get someone to take you to your class."

"Alright, thankyou," i said.

I followed her instructions and soon found my locker by checking if the number on the locker was the same as the one on the key. I put in my books for the rest of the day, leaving the ones for first and second period in my bag.

As i was done, i closed my locker and turned around to start walking, when i bumped into something hard. I fell backwards to the floor and could only feel the sharp pain in my back. "Ow!"

I looked up to see a pair of dark eyes looking down at me. It was a boy, kind of tall, he had dark-brown hair that was up in a quiff and a lip ring. His clothing contained mainly black. His whole appearance screamed badboy.

The mysterious looking boy glared at me.

"Are you not going to apologize?!" i yelled.

Suddenly his facial expression changed into an angrier one, if that was even possible. If looks could kill, i would've definately been dead by now.

I swallowed. "What is wrong with you! Stop giving me that look, who the hell do you think you are?"

My heart has probably never beated this fast. I have no idea where i got all the courage to say that.

"Watch your little mouth you little bitch," the boy hissed. "Since you have no idea of who i am, i'll let you off this time. But don't you dare use that tone with me again, or else bad things will happen."

I was still sat on the floor in shock, while i watched him walk off. At the end of the corridor he looked back at me and smirked, before he completely dissapeared.

I walked back to the reception, shivering at the thought of what happened minutes ago.

In the reception stood a teacher assuming the one that would be taking me to my class.

"Hello, i'm Mrs. Danford, welcome to Westminster. How are you finding our school so far?" she said politely.

If this is what schools in London are like, then i don't like it at all, i thought.

"Erm, follow me, and i will take you to your class," Mrs Danford said, probably expecting for me to reply.

But all i could do was nod.
