I was back at school, depression slowly getting worse everyday. It was like a black cloud was hovering over me and will never leave, eventually filling the world with darkness, my world with darkness.
I felt a hand placed on the small of my back and jumped at the slight touch. I felt a tingle down my spine from where Luke's hand was. Eventually he removed it then grabbed my hand, pulling me to a door. I looked up at him as he grinned down at me. "I need to show you something," He said. I sighed at his cheeky grin, knowing he was up to something he shouldn't be.
"Luke, we need to get to the performance outside. You said you loved arts week, do you not want to take part?" I asked. He thought for a sec then said, "You, my dear, are WAY more important, Now come on!" He opened the door and dragged me up several flights of stairs. Soon the crowd of people heading towards the field where the stage was set up disappeared from veiw. Nothing was going to get me out of this one.
Finally Luke brought me through a trap door and I felt the warm breeze hit my fave instantly. We were on the roof. Luke stepped into the center of the floor and spread his arms wide like he had angel wings. "This, babe, is my escape. From all my problems. Everything wrong in this world. Everything but you."
Flowers strung around the small concrete barrier aling the edge of the roof, and instruments and peices of paper lay strewn out on the ground. There was a drum kit in one corner with some keyboards in random places. Several guitars lay in cases around the area, and the paper was covered with drawings, music sheets and songs of all kinds. It was like a music paradise.
I looked over the edge and saw the sports field, students filling the stands as the performance began.
But it was interrupted by a loud sound coming out of a speaker behind me. "Attention everyone please," Luke.
We were only on a three story building, so when Luke stepped on the edge of the roof EVERYONE knew it was him when their heads whipped around. I tugged at his arm asking him to come down before he hurts himself; he just waved me off.
"Hi! Some of you may know me. I'm Luke Hemmings. Just your normal kid really, a bit on teh chubby side though," He chuckled at his own sentence but he was the only one. Everyone else had blank expressions.
"Well, a few weeks ago someone came into my life and changed it forever. Her name is Susannah Jarosh." I blushed a deep red. What is he doing?
"Well a few days ago I found out she had depression, and that it's getting worse,"
A tear stung in my eye. Why is he telling everyone this? Nobody cares!
"So when I asked her to be my girlfriend, I knew that I would do everything to make her haply again. So I am here, on this roof, infront of the whole school to say..."
He turned and looked at me.
"Suzy, I love you. I love you with everything in me. To the moon and back. Right to the end of the world. No. The universe! You are my everything. You mean so much to me I actually read and memorised this part of pride and prejudice for you."
Luke took a deep breath before he opened his mouth and spoke with such feeling and emotion tears pricked my eyes.
"You have bewitched me body and soul and I love, I love, I love you."
I stared deeply into his ocean eyes, tears trickling down my face, before running into his arms and kissing him like I have never kissed before. There was no tongue, it wasn't heated at all. All I felt was passion and love flowing through our veins. He was a part of me know, half my heart. The smoke was clearing, there's a light in the darkness. Luke is my light, my life, my angel sent from heaven. I really do love him.
