Today marks the day I start school in Australia. I slipped on the Northwest Christian Collage (whatever) uniform on and immediately sighed at the size of it. Why do parents always buy school uniform at least three sizes to big? Almost tripping doen the stairs, I grabbed an apple for breakfast and my skateboard and started to ride to school, dragging my heavy bag with me. It was at least an hours walk so it would take about 45 minutes for me to get there.
About 15 minutes later though, a car pulled up beside me and a head poked out the passenger seats window. "Hey Suzy, want a lift?" Luke asked. I nodded and slipped in the backseat, bringing my skateboard with me.
In the drivers seat sat a guy with a bandana wrapped around his head, holding up many curls of dirty-blonde hair. "Hi I'm Ashton" said the bandana guy, keeping his eyes on the road. I smiled and returned the greeting before turning to Luke and saying "since when did you call me Suzy?" He rolled his eyes and I laughed. "If you roll them back a little further you might find a brain in there." I sassed back.
Ashton giggled. "BURN!" He shouted in Luke's face, getting distracted and making the car swerve. "Ashton! Eye's on the road! I don't want to be killed on my first day of school!" He giggled again but looked at the road.
Eventually, we made to school alive. "Thanks Ash." I kissed my new friend on the cheek. I walked into the school reception and stepped over to the receptionist. She had glasses placed on the end of her nose and a stern glare set right on my face. "Hi! I, um, I'm here to pick up my timetable."
Her glasses slipped down her nose even more, (if that's even possible) and she sighed. "Cheryl! Get the new girls timetable! Her name is, er, I'm sorry whats your name dear?" she shouted. "Susannah Jarosh" I told her. She nodded and told whoever 'cheryl' was. 'Cheryl' then gave me my timetable and I saw that I had English 1st period. 'God help me' I thought and went to try and find the classroom.
Luckily I was at school at least half an hour early so I had at least fifteen minutes. But I was still hopelessly lost.
Just as I was about to give up I saw Luke turn the corner. "Luke! Help me please!" I showed him my timetable and he grabbed my hand, dragging me to the other side of the school. We stopped infront of the English classroom. "Thanks Luke" I sighed, walking into the classroom before the bell went. Luke followed me in.
"Do we have the same class then?" I asked. Luke nodded then said, "actually, we have the same timetable." Oh, I mouthed. Then bell rang and I sat down right at the back of the classroom, Luke still following me. "Jeez dude. Can you not?" He shook his head and sat next to me. I signed as the class started.
I was bored out of my mind. It had only been ten minutes as well. I scrunched up a piece of paper and threw it at the teacher when his back was turned. It hit him square on his bald head.
He turned and scanned the classroom, looking for anyone looking guilty. I looked at the ceiling then out the window, fake whistling. His eyes narrowed when he saw me and I waved at him with a smirk and a wink.
He shook his head and turned back around making me eyes light up at another opportunity. I ripped another page out my book and folded it into a paper airplane. Aiming it right at the pen in his hand, I threw it and it hit it right out if his hand. That made him fuming. His face literally went bright red and he stood up, his wheelie chair flying back behind him. He quicky picked it up the went back to being cross again.
