2. ¥chapter one¥

"Please Mikey," I begged my brother to take me to my friend, Stephanie's house. But no he's too worried about playing video games with his friend and random people online.

"Daniella. For the last time. No."

"Come on Mike, please!" I begged for the last time.

He groaned and stood up. I smirked knowing I won. But nope. Michael picked me up and threw me over his shoulder before he started to walk downstairs.

"You suck," I groaned as he threw me on the couch.

"You swallow," he fired back and smirked down at me evilly, knowing he won, "... now. Please leave us alone." He sighed, running his hand through his bright red hair and began walked back up the stairs.

"And if I don't?" I challenged before he got to the fifth step.

"I'll dye your hair pink in your sleep," he wasn't looking at me but I could tell he was smirking.

"You wouldn't dare!" I exclaimed, switching my position so I was sitting up.

"Try me," were his last words before he continued walking up the stairs.

I sighed and brought out my phone from me back pocket and started to scroll through my Instagram.

I quickly sent a text to my boyfriend Jayden telling him I couldn't come over.

I get it. Lying to my older brother isn't good or anything like that. But Michael doesn't approve of us dating since Jayden is twenty one and I'm seventeen. But what could he do about us? He shouldn't have a say in who I can date or anything.

From Jay: you want me to have James come and pick you up?

James is Jayden's little brother. He's my age but we haven't really talked or anything.

To Jay: No it's okay. I'll just hanging around at home today.

I sighed, continuing to go through Instagram.

I guess I spent a good ten to twenty minutes going through Insta before I felt the couch dip beside me.

"Hey Dani, do you still need a ride?"

I looked to the person next to me and seen Calum, my brother's best friend. He was literally over here almost everyday so I guess he was sort of like a brother to me. But when you have feelings for someone as cute as him, you don't want to consider him as your brother.

"Uh, yeah," I blushed, realizing how awkward and nervous I would act whenever Cal was around.

"Well... I was just gonna go pick up Luke. And I thought I could offer you a ride since your brother isn't doing anything for his little sister," he smiled, "so... may I give you a ride?"

"Yeah. Thanks Calum," I smiled. I already had a sweater and shoes on so we just had to leave.

After we got in the car, there was an awkward silence surrounding us. I was nervous to ask him to take me to Jayden's, but since Cal just seems so chill, I asked him anyway.

"Hey, um, can you drop me off at Jayden's instead?" I asked quietly, hoping he wouldn't say no or anything.

"I thought Mike didn't want you to hang around him," Calum stated. I watched as his hands gripped the steering wheel tightly to the point where his knuckles started to turning white.

"Calum, what he doesn't know won't hurt him," I used the same words he told me a while back.

Calum and Luke were playing a game of FIFA.

"Damn it!" Calum shouted as Luke won and he lost.

"Pay up Hood," Luke held his hand out, waiting for the money he won.

"Fuck off Hemmings," Calum groaned, throwing his controller at the wall.

I walked into the room just in time, and watched the controller break into pieces all because of how hard Calum threw it and the impact it had on the wall.

"You're dead," I mumbled to Calum, watching him run over to the broken PS4 controller.

"What he doesn't know won't hurt him, Dani," he smirked, disposing the controller and leaving Luke to take the blame.

"Fine. But if he finds out. I had nothing to do with you ending up at his place," Calum sighed, loosening his grip on the steering wheel.

To Jay: I got a ride. So see you soon.

I texted Jayden quickly before I heard a song on the radio that I really liked so I reached over and turned it up.

I sat in the passengers seat, wanting to start a conversation but not knowing what to say.

"We're going to pick up Luke first. Is that alright?" Calum broke the silence for a short moment before it all went quiet again.

"Yeah. I don't mind," I smiled over at him, changing the radio station to something that had screamo music. I know the station I just don't remember the name of it.

From Jay: Your brother is actually bringing you over?!

To Jay: No. His friend's bringing me. I'll be there soon, he wants to pick up someone then I'll be there.

After a long car ride of silence, Calum pulled up at Luke's house and he ran out of the house.

He seen me in the front seat and furrowed his eyebrows before he got into the backseat.

"Hey Dani." He greeted me, smiling.

"Hi," I mumbled so quiet it was barely even audible.

"Is she coming with us to the-" Luke started but Calum cut him off by quickly slapping him.

"Shut up," Calum ordered, pulling out of Luke's driveway and making our way to Jay's.

From Jay: Oh. Okay see you soon xxxx

"Who's Jay- wait. Jayden? That Jay?" Luke asked, his eyes going wide.

"Jeez! Nosy much!" I exclaimed, hiding my phone.

I seen Calum pull up at Jayden's and I got out without saying a word.

I watched as Calum drive away without letting Luke get into the front seat.

I wonder what's up with him.

I watched up to the front door and knocked on it and literally only seconds later, Jay answered.

"Dani!" He exclaimed, engulfing me into a bear hug.

"I missed you," he mumbled into my hair.

"You literally picked me up from school yesterday and I hung out here until dark." I recalled the events that happened yesterday.

Jayden graduated three years ago, he's going to be attending a community college here soon. He's also going to be twenty two soon and I still don't know what to get him.

"True, true. But can't a man miss his girlfriend?" He asked, pulling away from the hug and leading me inside and into his room.

"No, not really," I sarcastically replied, sitting down on his bed as he closed the door.

"Fine, be like that," he pouted, sitting next to me and starting to kiss my neck.

"Jayden," I breathed as he started to suck on my neck.

"Jayden stop." I sternly said after he didn't stop the first time.

He sighed and pulled away.

"Remember the last time you gave me a hickey? I don't want that to happen again," I mumbled, looking down at my hands that were rested in my lap.

"Yeah. I kind of don't want your brother to attempt to kill me again," Jayden laughed, pulling me onto his lap.

"Does he still know we're "broken up"?" Jay asked, using air quotes around broken up.

"I think so," I sighed, running my hands through my newly dyed hair. I dyed it black a just two days ago. I wasn't really into having dirty blond hair anymore. My mum literally cried when she seen my hair afterwards, I have no know idea why but she did.

"So... if I do anything to you, and I mean anything, he wouldn't know it was me," Jayden smirked, his lips connecting to mine.

"I guess you're right," I smiled, going back into the kiss.

What the hell?! I thought she wasn't even supposed to fucking talk to him anymore. I thought they fucking broke up.

"Calum, calm down. You literally just ran three red lights," Luke exclaimed from beside me.

"So?" I growled, my hands gripping the steering wheel so hard my hands hurt.

"Calum, stop. You know she's dating Jayden. And you know Mike will do something. Just get over her, like Mike would let you date her anyways... he doesn't even approve of anyone she dates, so why would he approve of you?" Luke asked. And I admit, he's right.

If Mike won't approve of any of the guys Daniella has dated in be past why would he approve of me?

"I hate to admit this but... you're right," I sighed, loosening my grip on the steering wheel and running my hands through my hair.

"When aren't I?" He asked but it sounded like he stated it more than he asked it.

"Shut up," I chuckled, turning the radio up loud enough so I wouldn't hear anything.
