We had to take a quick trip to a supermarket and buy Mr.Whiskers his food. This ended up in us sleeping at around eleven, but Mr.Whiskers seemed happy with his meal. After I took out my contacts we got in out own beds Mr.Whiskers leaped up onto mine and curled up in a ball. I hoped I didn't kick him off the bed while I slept. I pet and scratched him behind his ears a bit before I laid down. Dan however, he just got here and just went straight to sleep, not even bothering to change clothes. Typical Dan. I fell fast asleep too with the pleasing smell of hotel bed sheets.

I woke up to the sound of someone calling my name.
I groaned as I sat up trying to find the source of the sound but the place to dark and blurry.
"Phil, where are you?" Said a concerned but familiar voice.
I put on my glasses, checked the time on my phone, turned on a bed-side lamp, and looked around the room. My name was repeated again and I realized that it was Dan saying my name.
"Phil... Phil come back."
"Dan, I'm right here," I responded, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes with not much use.
"Why'd you think I would leave? It's, like, three in the morning."
"Where are you?" He repeated.
That's when I realized that he wasn't faced towards me. I got suspicious and wondered if this was a prank as payback for the sharpie whiskers. I got up and stood by the beside so he was facing me. His eyes were still closed, probably pretending to be asleep.
"Dan, this better be a joke," I said, crossing my arms.
His face started scrunching up as if he just bit into a lemon and started thrashing around.
"Phil! Phil, please don't leave me! Come back!"
I jumped back to avoid getting hit by one of his flailing arms. He really must be dreaming if he's managing to thrash around like that. How have I never noticed this behavior before, or is this the first? One thing's for certain: I had to wake him up.
I jumped on the bed and tried to shake him awake which didn't do much use.
"Dan! Dan, wake up!" I yelled.
I tried to pin down his arms and legs to avoid the thrashing around, but an unexpected arm came from my left side and slapped me hard and left a stinging sensation on my face. I felt a little scared because of what he had just done to me, but I started to shake him again but even harder. I used all my force shaking and yelling his name that I started to sweat and my arms started to get numb. Luckily I didn't get hit anymore and within a few minutes he jolted straight up, sweat trickling down his neck. His dark brown chocolate eyes opened as wide as they could, full of fear. He seemed really
