I heard footsteps behind the door and shut the phone off and ran to my bed. I sat down and took out the book I was reading (The elf girl) and pretended I was reading the whole time.
Linoca walked in. I didn't look up. She just walked right out again.
That night, I was lying awake in bed. I tossed and turned all night long. I was worrying so badly about what Linoca would do. When I was sure she was asleep, I left the room and went down to the kitchen to get some warm milk. (I was going to heat the milk, duh! It of course isn't already hot. People these days!)
After hours of waiting, Anica finally left the room. I heard Anica walking down the stairs. I took my chance.
I rummaged under my pillow before hitting off the familiar blade I had put under there when I got home from school.
I got up and made sure the door was closed. Then I walked into the middle room and whispered:
"Please, God. Don't be angry. You have given me life and I haven't enjoyed it as much as you expected me to. There are bullies in this world. I don't want to be around them. I want to be around you, forever. I want to see Grand-papa again. And Grand-mama. Take care of Anica and Mama and Papa. I'll help you take care of them."
I pointed the blade at my breast. Then, took my last few breathes and whispered "For me," I drove the blade into my heart.
Everything went dizzy. My room spun around. I dug the knife in again. I fell. The knife dropped.
The milk made me feel better. I took a few glasses of it and then went upstairs. When I opened the door, the light shone into the room. I saw Linoca lying on the floor.
I hit the light-switch hard.
There was a knife beside her covered in blood. She was covered in blood. Her blonde hair had little strikes of red in it.
"MAMA, PAPA!" I screeched.
Within seconds Mama Papa and I were screaming crying on the floor.
