“Seriously? Darling, tell me you're joking, please?” Mayra raised one of her thin brown eyebrows. Look, Ellie, she knows how to use tweezers.
“Liz, your going. Ellie said then her and Mayra started talking about every detail on how I'm going to sleep with him then go home right after. What?
“Alright. Girls, no, stop. If Liz doesn't want to come tonight, then she doesn't have to. Plus, anyways, I don't like the idea of my baby sister sleeping around with some random guy.” Garry stepped up.
Ellie and Mayra looked at him, at each other then me. “You're going” they said at the same time. They started talking about the party and the hooking up again as the walk into the kitchen laughing. Garry was going to follow then but I stop him.
“Do you think I should go? And, sleep with Hayes, I mean. I really don't feel like hearing about this the rest of my life from Ellie”
“Liz...” he sighed and kissed my forehead. “I think, you should be a proud virgin at seventeen.”
“How...” I was gonna ask how in the world he even knew about that because I never even told anyone, but he just smiled and walked into the kitchen, called out for Mayra and Ellie. Should I listen to him? I'd hate to admit it, but maybe he's right about the whole thing. Maybe I should just be proud to still have my virginity. Yeah... I'm gonna stay home and relax. Maybe catch up on the DVR

I sit on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn, a soft warm blanket and 9 whole episodes of 'Scandal' I'm happy. Just as I start, though. Ellie comes in. “You're really not coming?” she puts her hands on her hips and stood in front of the T.V.
I pause it. “I'm really not coming.”
“Come on! It'll be fun and you know it.” she sighed. “Oh.. alright. I know what it is. Your scared of hooking up with Hayes, aren't you?”
“No!” I say a little too fast, I worry it might have sounded too defensive. “Okay? I'm.. just not in the mood to be around sweaty, rude, irritating drunk people.” I shrug and eat a piece of popcorn.
“Please! Come with me.” she pleaded. Her long eye lashes were batting at me. The dark blue eyeshadow she had on was clashing with her dark brown eyes but I wasn't about to upset her anymore by telling her so. “Even mom is on a date, okay? So... that pretty much shows how lame and boring you are being right now.”
“Ell, I said 'no' Now get out of my way.” a big part of me wanted to go with but I stood my ground. Garry may be irresponsible and immature but he does know what he's talking about 99% of the time.
She sighed and walking away. “Whatever. Goodie-Goodie.” she mumbled. Before I could protest, she left, slamming the door behind her and drove off in her dark blue car.
I was now by myself and even though my sister was angry at me, I was okay with that because it was quiet. No one to bother me for the rest of my life. Now... I was very happy. Not even a half an hour later, there was a knock at my back door. I ignore it, the only light that was on was from the T.V and they couldn't see it from back there so they'd think no one was home. It was quiet again for a moment, then moved to the front door. It was clear they weren't going to leave, so I pause the show and go check through the peep hole at the front door. I almost lost my breath and passed out when I saw who was standing on my front pouch.
