Once upon a time, in a far away kingdom. There lived a young and handsome prince in his very rich family. Though he was very rich, the young prince, of only seventeen years, wasn't happy. In fact, he didn't even like his royal life. Everyday, he would sneak away from home and go down to the village below in disguise.
"Hey, are you listening to me?" I asked Lucian.
"Yeah yeah..." He sighed and turned to me. "You've told me the same story like, three million times already. Give me a break."
"Yeah, but I have other new things," I said puffing my cheeks like a child.
"You add new things every time and still the story is always the same. Last time you added the flying fish and you still had to come home." He sat up on my bed and pushed his hair from his face. "You know, I have something that I've always wanted to tell you. But right now might not be the best."
"Luc, you know I hate secrets!" I cried.
"Oh my dear prince charming with the red hair. Why don't you just look for a girlfriend? I'm sure that any of the girls, including princesses, would love to go out with you. If you had a girlfriend, maybe then you'd settle down and stop going down there-"
"Luc, girls are boring. I've gone out with all my maids and still. I get no excitement whatsoever with them. I can't fall in love.."
"Then you'll have to follow your father's proposal and marry the princess Blair."
"I'm not saying I don't like her," I said slowly, "but I honestly don't like her. She's a princess born and raised the same way as me. Yeah, I think we'd have some things in common, but only royalty stuff. If I want to marry, I want it to be for love. Not just because someone told me so."
"Why don't you just get to know her better first?"
"Lucian, you're being naive," I said. "Maybe it be better if you were--" Then I got my idea.
"Holy crap, Akaito.. I have to go home. I promised Millie I'd pick up some stuff for her." He got up to leave, but I grabbed him and pulled him to my closet. I rummaged through and found the red wig that was supposed to resemble my hair. I then grabbed my clothes and threw them at him and then pulled him to the mirror.
"Akaito.. bad idea alert.." he said in a whiny voice
"Oh come now. Since when have I ever had a bad idea?" I asked sitting him down.
"Oh I don't know.... ALWAYS!!" I smiled and told him to hold still while I placed the red eye contacts into his eyes. He blinked a few times before frowning at his reflection.
"I look better than you," he said.
I smiled and nodded.
"Way better." I told him to put on the clothes I'd given him and give me his. He didn't ask why, but I could see he really wanted to.
"You're going to be me, Akaito." I said. I smiled and we looked at each other in the mirror. Holy Crypton it was creepy how much we looked alike. It was like I'd just cloned myself.
"Akaito, this is a bad idea..." he grumbled.
"Relax," I said. "You know exactly how I act. So, no problem." I started making myself up to look like him. His eyes widened as I did, but he didn't say anything on the matter. He just sat there staring at me once I was done and sighed and laid back.
"If you're not back within three hours, I'm telling..." He faced away from me and I smiled and left the room. He was sure to enjoy being a prince, right? I knew I hated it, but I knew that there were many who wished they were in my position. Heck, there have been multiple murder attempts.
As I left the castle grounds, I hoped he'd be okay. But I knew he was a strong one. Stronger than me too. He'd be okay.
"Now then," I said. "Time to see what Lucian is going to do today in town."
