Krystal watched as Justin performed on Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve. He'd only agreed to do it if he could perform in LA, as Krystal couldn't fly at the moment and he wanted to be with her for New Years. The producer's finally agreed and now she was standing at the side of the stage, watching him perform songs from his newest album. She put her hand in her clutch, double checking and making sure that the gun was still there. He'd given it to her for safety and insisted she carried it at such an event. Besides her having that protection, Kenny, Justin's bodyguard and a member from his gang stood beside her, ready in case anything popped off. She bit her lip as she thought about how much she hated this life. Especially now that they were bringing a baby into it. She hated that they had to have extra security when at public events like this and she couldn't help but worry about Justin, her baby and herself. She knew one thing for sure, she didn't want to lose him and she wasn't going to let anything stand in the way of her being with him. He ended his set a moment later and made his way back to her, immediately pulling her into a hug.
“That was amazing, Baby,” She said softly into his ear.
“I'm glad you liked it,” He pulled away to look into her eyes, “Now we can get on with our evening,” He dropped her gaze and shook Kenny's hand, “Thanks, Bro.”
“Anytime, JB,” Kenny nodded and lead them out to the awaiting car. Once he had them situated in the back of the limousine, he hopped in the front with the driver and they headed back towards Justin's house.
“I'm really glad we're staying in for New Years,” Krystal stated, taking Justin's hand as they rode.
“Me too,” He put his arm around her and smiled, “I can't imagine anything I'd rather do than bring in the New Year with just the 3 of us,” He put his hand on her stomach protectively. She wasn't showing yet, but just the thought of a baby being in there brought out his fatherly instincts.
“Next year we'll have a baby,” She looked down at his hand resting on her stomach.
“And we'll be married and living happily ever after,” He couldn't lose the smile on his face; life seemed entirely too perfect right now.
“I hope so, Baby,” She reached up and cupped his face, “I'm so in love with you.”
“You take my breath away sometimes,” He found it hard to breathe for a moment. It had been awhile since she'd looked at him so sincerely and said those words, “I fall more in love with you every single second of every single day.”
“Don't make me cry,” She swatted him lightly, feeling the tears begin to well up, “You know I can't handle the sap without crying.”
He chuckled and pulled her to him, kissing the top of her head, “I'm sorry, Princess. I just love you.”
“I love you,” She snuggled into him, “2 more days and we've made it out of the first trimester.”
“I know,” He nuzzled her hair, “I can't wait until you start showing. You're gonna be even that much more beautiful.”
“I dunno about all that,” She chuckled, “If I'm anything like my mother, I'll be as big as a house.”
“Well, you'll be a beautiful house then,” He smirked.
“Shut up,” She let out a laugh and playfully hit him in the stomach.
“Our wedding is in 11 days,” He spoke, “Are you getting nervous?”
“No,” She shook her head and met his gaze, “Are you?”
“No,” He smiled warmly at her, “I can't wait for you to be Mrs. Bieber.”
“I can't either, Babe,” She bit her lip, “This whole situation is still so surreal to me.”
“Why?” He cocked an eyebrow at her.
“I just never thought I'd ever be good enough for someone like you,” She shrugged, “I still don't think I'm your type, but for some reason, you love me.”
“If you weren't my type, I wouldn't be marrying you in 11 days and I wouldn't be having a baby with you,” He rolled his eyes, “Seriously, Baby, you're beautiful. No matter what you may think of yourself, I think you're gorgeous.” They arrived at Justin's home a few moments later and got out, heading inside. Kenny left with the Limo driver and Krystal and Justin were alone, once again.
“I'm gonna run up and put on my pajamas,” She informed with a smile, kissing his cheek.
“Okay, Babe,” He watched her disappear up the stairs and headed to the kitchen, grabbing the bottle of non-alcoholic champagne he'd gotten for them and 2 glasses, carrying them back into the living area and setting them on the coffee table before lighting a fire in the fireplace. She returned a moment later and smiled warmly at him.
“Hey gorgeous,” She winked.
“You always look so beautiful, Princess,” He took note of her pajama pants and the tank-top that hugged her curves.
“Lies. I'm glad you think so, though,” She bit her lip with a smile. The doorbell rang and her smile faded as a frown crossed her features, “Who the hell could that be?”
“I have no idea,” Justin's face had the same confused look as he made his way to the door. He looked through the peep hole before opening the door.
“Hey, Baby!” Kendall Jenner threw her arms around his neck and entered, “I just got back into town and wanted to see you.”
Shocked, he quickly pushed her off of him, “What are you doing here, Kendall? Haven't you been keeping up with my life?”
“Well, not really,” It was then that Kendall saw Krystal in the living area, “Who's she?”
“My fiance,” Justin nodded once, a look of irritation on his face.
“Yeah right,” Kendall laughed, “Really, who is she?”
“She's really my fiance. We're getting married in a week and a half,” Justin explained.
“So you're settling down? With one person?” Kendall had a frown on her face.
“Yes,” He nodded as Krystal moved beside him, linking her fingers with his.
“Oh, but I was never good enough, right? You couldn't ever have had just me. Even as a friend with benefits. You had to have me AND Hailey? What's this fat bitch got that we didn't have?” Kendall looked Krystal up and down, the venom evident in her eyes.
“First of all, this is my fiance and you won't speak to her like that,” Justin's jaw was clenched in anger, “Secondly, you and Hailey were never enough woman for me. Even together. She's got more class than both of you put together. Leave. Now. And don't ever come back here, Kendall. You're not welcome here.” He pushed her out of the door and shut it in her face before pulling Krystal into his arms, “I'm so sorry, Baby.”
She shrugged through his hug, “It's not anything I haven't heard before. It is peculiar to me though, that you had to have 2 friends with benefits. How can you be sure that just me will always be enough for you?”
He pulled away to look into her eyes, “Because I'm in love with you and there's not a single shred of my life that's left unsatisfied with you. You give me everything I need to be happy and faithful. Neither one of them could ever do that and I never loved either one of them. They were just convenient.”
“If I ever become just a convenience, I want you to walk away,” She said, staring into his eyes, “Seriously. If you ever stop loving me and It's just convenient to have me around, end it.”
“You will never be just a convenience to me, Baby,” He sighed, “That's one promise I can make and know that I'll keep forever. I'm so in love with you I can barely see straight and I don't foresee that ever going away.”
“I hope you're right,” She shrugged, “Cause I'm in love with you and it'll kill me to lose you, but your happiness is more important to me than anything.”
“That,” He stared into her eyes, “Right there, is one of the many reasons you will never just be a convenience to me. No one has ever cared about me and my happiness the way you do and I'm pretty sure there isn't another person on the planet that ever would. No one could ever take your place because of that, Babe. You and this baby are everything to me. That's never gonna change.”
“Sometimes you're so beautiful it's hard to look at you,” She spoke after a moment, a small smile playing on her lips.
He let out a hearty laugh, “Well, sometimes you're so beautiful I can't look away.”
“Let me know if you still feel that way when I'm huge in a few months,” She chuckled.
He leaned his forehead against hers and whispered, “I'll always feel that way, Baby. You'll always be the most beautiful woman in the world to me; even when we're old and gray and wrinkled.”
