“Are you ready for this?” Justin asked as they pulled up outside of his father's home. They decided against being picked up at the airport as they wanted to rent a car while they were there.
“As ready as I'll ever be,” Krystal chuckled, “Are you sure we shouldn't get a hotel though? The last thing I wanna do is put your family out.”
“Baby, it's fine. Trust me. We're not imposing. He's my dad,” He reached over and gave her hand a reassuring squeeze.
“Okay,” She let out a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves as Justin got out of the car, jogging around to her side to open the door for her before grabbing their bags out of the trunk. He motioned for her to follow him, as both of his hands were full of their things.
“Can you get the door for me, please, Babe?” He nodded his head towards the door.
“Of course,” She quickly made her way in front of him, opening the door and letting him enter before she followed, closing it behind her. The silence in the house was broken by 2 screams as Jaxon and Jazmyn ran towards their brother, both immediately hopping in his arms once he'd dropped the bags.
“I've missed you guys so much,” Justin breathed into his younger siblings, holding them tightly.
“We missed you too, Just,” Jazmyn spoke.
“There's someone I want you guys to meet,” He set them both down on the ground and turned towards Krystal, “Guys, this is my girlfriend Krystal. Babe, this is Jazmyn and Jaxon.”
Krystal knelt down to their level, “It's lovely to meet the both of you. I've heard a lot about you both and I've been very excited to meet you.”
They both studied her intently for a moment before Jazmyn spoke, “You're really pretty.”
“Thank you,” Krystal offered a warm smile, “You're both very gorgeous as well. Apparently good looks run in the family.”
“Where's Dad?” Justin asked, breaking into the conversation.
“He's in the kitchen,” Jaxon informed.
“Why don't you guys go play and I'm gonna introduce Krystal to Dad. Then we'll hang out, Okay?” Jazmyn and Jaxon both gave their 'okays' and ran off to find something to do. Justin grabbed Krystal's hand, offering a smile before leading her through the house and into the kitchen area.
“I wondered when you guys were getting here,” Jeremy smiled and stood from his seat, immediately pulling Justin into a hug, breaking it a moment later and looking towards Krystal, “And this must be the lovely Krystal that I've heard so much about.”
“I am,” She chuckled, trying to hide the blush in her cheeks as she shook his outstretched hand, “It's great to finally meet you Mr. Bieber.”
“Oh, call me, Jeremy. Mr. Bieber was my father,” Jeremy chuckled, “She's a gorgeous one, JB. You did good.”
Justin let out a small laugh, “Thank you. She's definitely beautiful.”
Jeremy returned to his seat, motioning for Krystal and Justin to take a chair as well, “Your grandparents aren't coming over until tomorrow morning to cook dinner, so we're fending for ourselves tonight. I figured I could either whip up some spaghetti or we could get take-out from Tim Hortons. It's up to you.”
“Dad, I've been on tour for 6 months,” Justin chuckled, “You know I'm gonna want a home-cooked meal. Especially if you're making spaghetti.”
“Well,” Jeremy shrugged, “That's why I figured I'd give you the choice. I wasn't sure what Krystal liked.”
“Oh, I'm easy to please,” She smiled, “I eat pretty much anything except onions and nuts. And I'm allergic to Pumpkin, so I can't eat that, but otherwise I'm down for whatever.”
“Have you been subjected to Justin's horrible cooking yet?” Jeremy questioned with a laugh.
“Hey,” Justin chimed in, “I've gotten a lot better.”
“Good,” She smirked, “Cause you know how much I hate to cook and if we're gonna get married, you know you're gonna have to cook for me sometimes.”
“I'll cook whenever you want me to, Babe,” He reached over, tucking her hair behind her ear.
“Why don't you guys go on up and get settled in your old room and I'll start the spaghetti,” Jeremy suggested.
Justin nodded, standing from the table, “Thanks, Dad.” Jeremy winked and stood as well, making his way to the cupboards as Justin pulled Krystal out of the kitchen, grabbing their bags on the way as they headed up the staircase.
“They seem really awesome, Babe,” Krystal commented as Justin pulled her into a room, shutting the door behind them and tossing their bags onto the ground.
“They are,” He wrapped his arms around her, “And they love you already. Didn't I tell you they would?”
“They seem very accepting,” She smiled and let out a sigh, content in his arms, “Which I'm completely thankful for.”
“They can tell I'm happy,” He leaned down and met her lips with a soft kiss.
“I'm happy too, Baby,” She smiled, staring into his eyes, “I hope that you don't plan on us making love while we're here.”
“Of course I plan on it,” He chuckled, “Why wouldn't we?”
“Because this is your father's house and your siblings have rooms entirely too close to us,” She cocked an eyebrow at him, “The last thing I need is for your family to hate me for having sex with you.”
“But, Baby,” He stuck his bottom lip out in a pout.
“No. But, Baby, nothing. We're only here for 2 days. I think we'll survive,” She reached up, running her fingers around his lips gently, “So there's no being sexy while we're here. I know that'll be difficult for you because even the way you look at me turns me on, but please try.”
He let out a small laugh, “Just for that, I'm gonna torture you the entire time we're here.”
“You wouldn't dare,” She frowned.
“I would,” He nodded, raising his eyebrows, “Especially since you've already laid down the ground rules that we're not allowed to make love. You torture me, I torture you. That's how this marriage equality thing works.”
A smile broke out across her face and she shook her head in disbelief, “We'll see what happens, Bieber, but I'm not making any promises.”
Krystal awoke alone in bed and glanced at the clock, 3:00am. She frowned, wondering where Justin could've gone. She slid out from under the covers and exited the room, making her way down the hallway and then down the stairs. She checked the entire downstairs area and he was nowhere to be found. She finally noticed a shadow figure sitting in the back by the pool. She made her way out of the patio door and approached him.
“What are you doing out here, Babe? It's freezing!” She wrapped her arms around herself, trying to keep warm in the cold, November air.
“I couldn't sleep,” He reached up, pulling her down into his lap and wrapping his jacket around the both of them.
“Why couldn't you sleep?” She reached up, brushing a strand of hair away from his face.
“I was actually just thinking about how crazy the last year has been for me and how thankful I am that you're still here with me now,” He stared out at the pool that was partially drained for the winter, “I was thinking about all the horrible things I've done and all the shit you've been put through since we met and I was thanking God that you were still here. And not only are you still here, you've never complained or turned your back on me one time. Even when you barely saw me on tour or when I'd come back from the mission covered in blood and you had to clean me up. You didn't complain and I can't imagine how difficult all of that must've been for you. Just proves to me a little more that you're as close to perfect as anyone has ever been and that you're meant for me.”
“We're meant for each other, Baby,” She wrapped her arms around his neck, staring down into his eyes, “You're my kind of perfect. There isn't anything in this world that could make me walk away from you. I love you too much to let you go.”
He let a small smile grace his lips as he stared at her, “I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I literally thank God for you every single day.”
“I thank God for you too, Babe,” She leaned down, kissing his lips gently.
“Jazmyn was telling me tonight that she's never seen me this happy and that she's thankful I found you because I need someone to take care of me,” He informed.
“They're both really smart kids,” She nodded with a smile, “They're a lot more observant than one would care to admit.”
“I want us to have a little boy and a little girl exactly like them someday,” He tightened his hold on her torso.
“We can have the world, Baby. There's nothing stopping us anymore,” She pulled him into a hug, whispering in his ear.
“I've never been in love like this,” He admitted softly, “You're the most amazing woman I've ever known. I know I say that a lot, but I truly mean it. Every day I think there's no possible way I can ever love you anymore than I already do and the next day I prove myself wrong.”
“I've been in love before,” She started, “And at the time, it was all-consuming, but with you it all runs so much deeper than I ever imagined. I love you in a way I didn't know was possible, Justin.”
He pulled her as close to him as possible, breathing her scent in deeply for a moment before speaking, “Let's go back inside and get some sleep, Baby. Tomorrow's gonna come entirely too soon.”
