Aaron made his way to the door once the bell rang, per Krystal's instructions as she was just finishing up getting ready. He glanced out the peep hole before opening the door to reveal Justin standing before him.
“Uh, Hi,” Justin glanced at him confused, “Am I at the right place? Is Krystal here?”
“Yeah,” Aaron nodded, “Come on in, she's just finishing up getting ready.”
“I'm Justin,” Justin entered and extended his hand to shake Aaron's.
“Aaron,” He introduced himself, shaking Justin's hand.
“Are you and Krystal, like, friends?” Justin was still confused as to what was going on, surprised that Aaron Carter was answering Krystal's door.
“Yeah,” Aaron laughed, “I live next door with my fiance, but Krystal's been my best friend for the last 12 years, so since she moved down here to be closer to me, we've been spending a lot of time together.”
“I don't mean to get all weird, but you know you're like, a legend, right?” Justin stared at Aaron, having admired him when he was younger.
Aaron let out another small laugh, “Well, I don't know about that, but thank you. I've been mostly doing independent stuff these days.”
“I-I'd love to work with you sometime,” Justin shrugged, “I mean, I'd love to get in the studio with you.”
“Yeah,” Aaron agreed with a smile, “That would be awesome. You got your phone on you? I'll give you my number.” Justin pulled out his phone and unlocked it, handing it to Aaron for him to input his number. Once he'd put it in, he handed it back to Justin and Justin called him.
“Did it come up?” Justin questioned, glancing at Aaron's ringing phone that he'd just pulled out of his pocket, “Sometimes it likes to show up as unknown.”
“Nope, got it,” Aaron proceeded to program Justin's number into his phone as Krystal came down the stairs, catching both of their attention.
“Wow,” Justin said breathlessly as he checked out the outfit she wore that hugged her curves. She had on black capris that hugged her hips and a silver, sparkly shirt. Her hair was down and curled at the ends and her makeup was perfect, “You look...Just wow,” Justin stood up and made his way towards her.
“Thank you,” She chuckled, trying to hide the blush in her cheeks, “You don't look half bad yourself,” She looked him up and down. He was wearing black jeans and a white-button up shirt with a suit jacket over it, the sleeves rolled up to the middle of his arm, revealing some of his tattoos.
“You do look great, Biff,” Aaron commented with a smile, making his way towards her to kiss her cheek before heading out, “Call me when you get home if you can,” He then turned his attention back to Justin, “It was great meeting you, Justin.”
“You too,” Justin smiled, shaking Aaron's hand one last time, “Call me when you wanna get in the studio.”
“Gotcha,” Aaron nodded and made his way out of the condo, walking the few steps to the other side, where he lived.
“You ready?” Justin asked, turning his attention back to the beautiful blond before him.
“Yeah,” She nodded, trying to hide her nerves. He followed her out of the house, closing the door behind him before jogging in front of her to open the car door for her, “Thank you,” She smirked at his chivalry and got in. He shut the door and ran around, getting into the driver's seat.
“Thank you for coming out with me tonight,” He glanced at her before looking back towards the road and pulling off.
“I figured I'd better or you'd never realize I'm not your type,” She played.
“You don't know how wrong you are,” He smirked and licked his lips as he glanced at her, his eyes gazing over her body quickly before looking back to the road, “So, do you make it a habit to have celebrity friends?”
“Not particularly,” She chuckled, “I'm not a fan of the lime-light. Aaron's just been my best friend for a really long time and when I decided I needed to get outta Wisconsin, he made sure I came here to be closer to him.”
“Is he the only famous person you know? I mean, besides me now.”
“No,” She shook her head, “I know a few others, but I'm closest with Aaron and his family. Nick's like a brother to me.”
“So, if you hate the lime-light, as you put it, why do you have celebrity friends?” He asked with a smirk, “Do people know who you are?”
“I've pretty much learned to stay behind the scenes,” She fidgeted nervously with the ring on her finger, “When I first met Aaron, there were a few things that happened and some fans found out who I was. They'd make fake pages and pretend to be me on Facebook and stuff or they'd try to get close to me to get closer to Aaron, but I avoid everything so well anymore that that hasn't been an issue for years now. I hate it though. I'm really content with my private life and being able to be a 'nobody'. I've seen Aaron be ripped to shreds time and time again because he's famous and I just,” She stopped and licked her lips, “I guess your song pretty much explains it. I don't like the lights.”
A slow smile crept across his lips, “So you are a fan. What was all that talk earlier then about you being too old for me?”
“I never said I wasn't a fan and I never said I wasn't attracted to you,” She admitted, her cheeks getting hot, “I'm just older and really not your type.”
“Age is just a number, ya know,” He knew she was blushing, “And like I said earlier. I don't have a type. I like what I like and I like you.”
“Why?” She wondered, studying his profile as he drove.
“Besides the fact that you're breathtakingly beautiful, there's just something about you,” He glanced at her, the smile never leaving his face, “Also, you keep rejecting me and giving me dumb reasons. That doesn't happen to me, so I'm automatically enthralled by you and you've sorta become a conquest now.”
“A conquest?” She cocked an eyebrow at him, “And what exactly are you trying to conquer?”
“I didn't mean it like that,” He conceded, “I meant, I wanna get to know you and while I'm not afraid to admit I'm sexually attracted to you, there's something about you that I can't quite put my finger on, but it intrigues me and I wanna know what it is. It's drawing me in and making me want more than to just hit it and quit it.”
She let out a small laugh, “You are something else, Bieber. I appreciate the honesty though.”
“You just seem like someone who appreciates straight-forward honesty. You don't seem like you're interested in playing games,” He shrugged.
“You're right about that one,” She agreed, “I'm always brutally honest and I appreciate the same in return.”
“Good,” He licked his lips again, pulling up into the parking lot of the restaurant, “I like that about you.” He put the car in park and shut the car off, jogging around to her side to open the door for her. He held his arm out for her, allowing her to link her arm in his before leading her inside.
“Reservation for Bieber,” Justin spoke to the hostess.
“Right this way, Mr. Bieber,” The girl, obviously a fan, led them to a secluded table in the back; her cheeks flashing a crimson color, “Your waiter will be right with you.”
“Thank you,” Justin nodded as the girl dismissed herself. Their waiter appeared a moment later and introduced himself.
“My name's Mike and I'll be your server tonight. Can I start you off with some drinks?”
“I'll have a Corona,” Justin stated, looking at Krystal, waiting for her to decide what she wanted to drink.
“I'll just have a coke, please,” She smiled up at the waiter, “No Ice.” The waiter nodded and walked away to retrieve their drinks.
“You don't drink?” Justin asked as they looked over their menus, deciding what to order.
“On occasion,” She nodded, “But it's never pretty when Krystal get's wasted.”
“Why not?” He asked with a smirk, meeting her gaze over their menus.
“I usually either end up naked, fighting or way back in the day, sleeping with random people,” She explained, “Stick around long enough, I'm sure you'll see it eventually.”
He let out a soft laugh as the waiter returned with their drinks to take their orders. After placing their orders and handing the menus back to him, Justin reached across the table, taking Krystal's hand in his own.
“Ya know,” He started, “You're bringing out a side of me that's been hidden for a very long time,” He met her gaze, “I'm usually not this nice. I mean, there are a lot of people out there that actually fear me because of who I am.”
“And why is that?” She asked, holding his intense gaze, “Why do people fear you?”
“There's things about me that aren't so...public,” He licked his lips, “At least, there's a bunch of shit about me that the fans don't know and if they did, they'd probably hate me.”
“Like what?” She was intrigued.
“Like, I've killed people,” He told her seriously, staring at her to judge her reaction, but her face didn't falter, “They deserved it, of course. I was initiated into a gang years ago, but now I have my own. I'm the leader of one of the most prestigious gangs in the US and Canada.”
“Why are you telling me this?” She wondered, still not dropping the gaze.
He shrugged, “I like you. You're getting to see a side of me that nobody gets to see. I-I guess there's just something about you that's telling me I can trust you and I want you to know what you're getting into by getting to know me. Does it scare you?”
“Should it?” She challenged, “It doesn't, but it's a little hard to believe. I mean, you're Justin Bieber and while I am completely aware that that makes you two different people, it's still such a difficult thing to believe when one side of you is so publicly broadcasted to the world.”
He smirked, “That's the part that's kept me from getting caught. Justin Bieber never. Gets. Caught.”
“Everyone gets caught eventually,” She ran her finger around the rim of her glass, “And I really do appreciate you opening up to me about it and letting me know, but I don't wanna know anymore,” She met his gaze again, “The more I know, the more I'd have to lie if I were ever put in a position where I was asked and I hate lies. I have no problem protecting the people I care about, but the less information I gotta push outta my head, the better. Besides, I'm not about that life. I know exactly what it all entails and that's not me.”
“How do you know what comes with that life?” He asked, frowning slightly.
“I've only dated black guys since I was 17,” She cocked her head to the side, “With the exception of Aaron. I'm not unfamiliar with that lifestyle, Justin.”
“You are just full of surprises, aren't you?” He couldn't stop the smirk that made it's way across his face, “So, if you only date black guys, how come you're here with me?”
“You're sexy,” She shrugged, “And talented. And I'm intrigued by you. There's not too many white guys who I'm attracted to or who have caught my attention. You, however, have my full attention.”
“Oh yeah?” He asked, his cheeks flushing a light pink color, “You've quickly captured my full attention, as well.”
“How do you have time?” She wondered, ignoring the heat that had entered her cheeks.
“What do you mean?” He wondered with a frown.
“I mean, how do you have time to live 2 lives, both of which are time consuming and require long, strenuous hours of work? And how do you have time to be with me tonight?”
“I have people that I trust to do a lot of work for me when it comes to...that life. No matter where I am in the world, I always know what's going on with my people. It'd be impossible to continue with the music If I didn't, but the music is what I love,” He licked his lips, “The music is what keeps me halfway sane.”
“So, why continue with the other life?” She watched him closely.
“It's not just something you can walk away from,” He shrugged, “Walking away has definitely crossed my mind in the past, but I'm not sure I could get out, even if I wanted to. I'm sure if I threw in the towel, there'd be a lot more drama and violence than there already is and I don't want that. I already have to watch my back enough. At least, this way, I've got hundreds of loyal people watching my back. If I walked away, I wouldn't have that.”
“Your 2 lives clash, Bieber,” She leaned back against her chair, crossing her legs under the table, “Don't get me wrong, it's a brilliant cover up, but being who you are to the public wouldn't ever let you be able to hide-out if you had to. You're an easy target for anyone who wants your head because they will always know exactly where you are.”
“There's ways around that,” He smirked, intrigued at her thought process, “If there's ever any immediate danger, I'm notified by my people that are constantly watching every move of every other gang out there and if I ever need to hide-out, I have my ways.” Just then the waiter brought their food and they began to eat. They carried on a simple conversation throughout the meal and when they were finished, Justin picked up the check before they made their way out of the restaurant, getting into the car.
“Thank you for dinner, Justin. It was wonderful,” Krystal commented as they pulled out of the parking lot.
“It was my pleasure,” He smirked and reached over, grabbing her hand and bringing it to his lips for a kiss before resting both of their hands on his thigh, “The night's not over yet though.”
“As long as you don't plan on taking me on a robbery or a drug heist, I'm cool with that,” She chuckled, leaning closer towards the center of the car, closer to Justin.
“Nah, I usually save that for the 2nd or 3rd date,” He joked.
“I'll remember to dress in all black if you ask me out again,” She chuckled, playing along.
“You gonna be my Bonnie, Baby?” He asked with a smirk, glancing at her quickly before looking back towards the road.
“I'm definitely a rider, Boo, but I ain't about dying young and robbing jewelry stores,” She shook her head with a smile.
“I'd protect you, Baby,” He said breathlessly, unable to believe how perfect this woman was turning out to be.
“Ya know, you have this second persona, 'Jason McCann' in some fan fiction stories on the internet and you're a real bad-ass in those stories,” She chuckled, remembering a few she'd read, years ago.
“Is that so?” He raised his eyebrows in surprise.
“Yeah, they made you out to be this bad-ass gangster. Needless to say, there's always a girl in the stories that breaks through your tough exterior and becomes your weakness,” She chuckled.
“Sounds pretty accurate to me,” He licked his lips and glanced at her again with a smirk.
“Oh please,” She continued to laugh, “If you're as bad-ass as you say you are, no woman is gonna be able to break you down. I mean, yeah, you're here showing me a soft-side tonight, but I don't foresee it going any further than that.”
“You never know what the future holds, Beautiful,” He squeezed her hand, “Never say never. You could end up being my weakness. I could end up developing more feelings for you than I already have and swear to protect you for the rest of our lives.”
“How often do you do this?” She wondered, staring at his perfect profile.
“Do what?” He asked, confused.
“Confess to the females you take out that you're some bad-ass gangster and show them your soft side? Most likely just to get them into bed?”
“Honestly?” He gave her a shocking look, “Never. I don't date much and I certainly don't go around telling my business to random females if I'm just gonna have them for the night. I never even told Selena and we were together for 2 years.”
“Then, why me, Justin?” She frowned in confusion.
He looked deep in thought for a moment before speaking, “I truly don't know. I just got this feeling in the pit of my stomach when I saw you today and I just knew that I could trust you and had to tell you because you're gonna be an important part of my life.”
“You don't even know me, Jay,” She continued, “How did you know I wouldn't be terrified of you and run away, never looking back?”
“I just knew,” He shrugged, noting the nick-name that she'd already given him, “Just like I know you're gonna be an important part of my life. You're gonna be around for awhile.”
“And if I wasn't feelin' it?” She tried to hide her smile.
He reacted with a quick glance in her direction, “Are you? I-I mean, are you interested in me at all?”
She chuckled at his insecurity, “Calm down, Jay. If I wasn't interested, I wouldn't be here with you right now.”
“So, you think we could be more some day?” He asked, his voice quiet.
“Anything's possible. I still think I'm too old for you and I still think you're way outta my league, but who am I to stand in the way of something you seem to think you want?”
“I am not out of your league and you are not too old for me. You are beautiful and the more I get to know you, the more I like your personality,” He said firmly, not able to understand why this woman didn't see her beauty.
“If you say so,” She shook her head in disbelief and glanced at the darkened road ahead, “You're not taking me somewhere to kill me, right?”
“No,” He chuckled, “I'm taking you to my house. The view of the city is breathtaking.”
“I'm not gonna sleep with you tonight, Bieber. So, if that was your plan, you can cross it out.”
“That wasn't even a thought,” He cocked an eyebrow and smiled, “I mean, I wouldn't stop you If you wanted to, but I don't wanna rush things with you and I definitely don't want you to feel like that's the only reason I asked you out today.”
“Good, because it takes a lot more effort to get into my pants,” She informed.
“I-I really do want more with you,” His voice was soft as he admitted this to her, “I know I don't know you all that well yet, but I just...I feel a connection to you that I've never felt with anyone else before. I can't explain it and this probably sounds really cheesy and dumb and like I'm just trying to fuck you, but I'm not. I swear. Augh. You make me nervous and tongue-tied.”
“I don't know,” He let out a sigh, “I just don't wanna screw this up with you. It's been a long time since I've let myself have any kind of feelings for anyone and you're just different.”
“It's really surprising to me that you're showing me your insecurities right now, Biebs. I can't say that I don't like it, but I'm surprised. Especially if you're this bad-ass gang leader and not just some stuck-up pop-star.”
“Like I said, nobody gets to see this side of me. I didn't even know it still existed until today,” He licked his lips and pulled into the driveway of his home after an 18 minute drive from Malibu to Calabasas, punching in the code to the gate. He pulled into the circular drive and parked the car in front of the doors, turning it off and proceeding to open her door for her before leading her inside.
“Your house is huge,” She exclaimed, looking around the foyer at the large staircases on both sides of the room and the chandeliers, “And also very intimidating.”
“Why is it intimidating?” He asked with a laugh, taking her hand and leading her into a large kitchen area.
“It's just beautiful,” She shrugged, taking it all in, “I'm a normal person, remember?”
“See, now I don't think that's true,” He flirted, grabbing 2 glasses off of the rack and a bottle of champagne out of the fridge, “You look far from the average woman from where I'm standing.”
“I may be a little out there,” She chuckled, following him up a back staircase, “But I don't make a habit of hanging out in extravagant houses with random celebrities that I've just met.”
“Well, I don't plan on being just a random celebrity to you for very long,” He winked at her as he lead her out onto the balcony of his bedroom, “But I plan on showing you the world, Baby. And it's a lot more extravagant than my house.”
“This is fucking beautiful,” She commented breathlessly as she looked out over the city.
“The view from where I'm standing is pretty fucking amazing too,” He said softly, not taking his eyes off of the woman before him.
“How many females have you done this with?” She met his gaze.
“What?” He chuckled, “Bring them back to my house?” She nodded, “None. Living the life I live, I don't bring too many people back to my house. If I ever pick up a random chick along the way, I always make sure to get a hotel. Can't have a lot of people knowing where I live,” She let out a small laugh, signalling that she wasn't sure she believed him, “If we're being honest, the last girl I had here was Selena, but I even hesitated to have her here most of the time. I never actually got rid of the place when we moved in together, I guess you could say. I mean, there was just too much that I had to hide from her. So, while she thought we were truly living together, I only kept certain things at the home we shared. I couldn't ever keep parts of that lifestyle in the house with her.”
“So, you're telling me, that even though you've known me less than 24 hours, you're telling me more about your lifestyle than you ever told her within the span of 2 years,” She cocked an eyebrow at him, showing him how suspicious she was.
“That's exactly what I'm telling you,” He held her gaze, showing her how serious he was.
“You're different. You can handle it. She couldn't,” He shrugged.
“What makes you think that?” She studied him carefully.
“What would you do if I handed you a gun?” He challenged, keeping an eye on her facial expression.
“Depends on why you were handing it to me,” She shrugged her shoulders, “I wouldn't hesitate to use a gun if I needed to. I gotta tell you though,” She smiled, “No one's ever trusted me with a loaded weapon before.”
He let out a laugh, “That's exactly my point. If I ever would've handed Selena a gun, even if she had to protect herself, she'd scream and be all dramatic and expect me to do all the dirty work and protect her. You...You can handle yourself.”
She made a face, “I'm not big with all the dramatics. I guess that's where I fail to be 'girly' as some people put it. I mean, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love having my hair, nails and makeup done, but then there's times when I kinda wanna set shit on fire and watch it burn too.”
He couldn't stop himself from letting out a hearty laugh, “You are definitely one of a kind,” He made his way behind her, placing his hands on the railing on either side of her, trapping her in. His breath tickling her ear and sending a shiver down her spine, “Like I said,” He whispered to her, “You're intriguing to me and I wanna get to know you. I'll even let you set shit on fire, if you want.”
“I dunno if you know what you're getting yourself into, Bieber,” She had a small smile playing on her lips, “I could probably be pretty dangerous, given the right opportunity.”
He turned her in his arms so that her back was against the railing as he stared into her eyes, their faces just inches from one another. He licked his lips before he spoke, “I'm looking forward to finding out just how dangerous you can be.” He reached his hand up to caress the side of her face for a moment, his eyes trailing between her eyes and her lips as he bit his bottom lip. Without another thought, he closed the space between them, gently pressing his lips against hers. He felt her return the kiss and he pulled away slightly, gently placing light kisses on her lips and letting his lips nudge hers a little.
Her hands were resting on his peck muscles, feeling them tense under his shirt every time he took a breath, “I'm not sure you know what you're getting yourself into, Justin.” She breathed against his lips.
A small smile made its way across his lips as he looked up into her eyes, “The fact that you didn't even flinch when I told you that I've killed people, told me a lot. And the fact that you're not running right now, even though I told you who I am.”
She shrugged, “Everybody's got a dark side, Jay. Some are just a little darker than others. Did you think I'd be afraid of you?”
He shook his head, “No. I could tell by the way you carried yourself that you wouldn't be. Being who I am, you gotta be able to read people and while you're definitely not an open book, I can just tell that you're different.”
“I'm not a little girl,” She smirked, “I've been around the block a few times. Not too many things in life are surprising or have the ability to shock me much anymore.”
He nudged her nose with his, letting his warm breath hit her lips, “I plan on doing just that. Surprising you,” He breathed, “I'm gonna sweep you off your feet, Love.”
“You think you're that good?” She teased, “Cause it would take a lot.”
“I'm Justin Bieber, Baby,” He smirked at her, pulling away just far enough to stare into her eyes, “I'm gonna show you things you've never seen before.”
“We'll see about that,” She chuckled.
“You should probably buckle up,” He spoke, staring into her eyes intently, reaching his hand up to caress the side of her face, “Cause I'm about to take you on the ride of your life.”
