13. Chapter 13

“So, let's talk about this video,” Ellen stated as she stared at Justin. He'd agreed to this interview last week, before the scandal and he knew he'd have to be prepared to answer questions about the leaked video.

His cheeks turned a crimson color, “Yeeeaaah, that was a really private moment that shouldn't have been caught on camera.”

“Is she a girlfriend? A fling? I mean, is this something you do often? You're a gorgeous guy, I can't imagine too many women turn you down.” Ellen prodded.

“Let me just say that I don't make a habit of publicly displaying my intimate moments anymore, but this is as perfect time as any to announce my news,” He looked at Ellen nervously, “I'm actually engaged to her. So, the intimate moment that was caught on video wasn't just some random person. I actually love and care about her.”

“Well, Congratulations!” Ellen stood and gave him a hug before returning to her seat, surprised at the confession, “Tell us more about her. What was it about her that swept you off your feet?”

“She's just...amazing,” He used his hands to emphasize as he spoke, “I've never met anyone like her before. She's sweet, caring, loyal. Just completely beautiful inside and out. Sometimes I can't believe that I was good enough for someone like her. She's older, so she knows what she wants and she's not into playing any games and she's my best friend. I can tell her anything and she's there for me no matter what. I just...I love her,” He shrugged.

“When did you know she was the one for you? How did you meet?” Ellen wondered.

“When we met, we had both been shopping at the grocery store and she had literally run into me, dropping everything she bought and I helped her pick it up, then the minute our eyes met it was just like I knew. She literally took my breath away for a second and I basically had to beg for her number. Eventually, she gave in and I called and asked her to dinner that night. We've been pretty inseparable since.” He smiled as he remembered.

“So, originally she rejected you?” Ellen attempted to clarify.

“Like I said,” Justin chuckled, “She's older and she knew who I was. So, it definitely took a little convincing.”

“How old is she?”

“Come on, Ellen,” He gave her an exasperated smile, “You know I can't give away her age on public television. She'll have my head.” They shared a laugh and moved onto a different topic, continuing with the interview. It was over about 20 minutes later and Justin said his goodbyes to Ellen and the crew before hopping into his Ferrari and heading towards Krystal's house. He had asked her to come to the show with him, but she refused, afraid of what would happen. He pulled up outside of her house about 30 minutes later and got out, heading to the door. It was open and he found her in the kitchen, looking down at her phone.

“Hey, Babe,” She looked up and smiled when she noticed his presence, “How'd it go?”

“Really good,” He made his way to her, placing a kiss on her cheek, “It's gonna air tomorrow and you gotta watch.”

“Why?” She gave him a skeptical look.

“Because they asked me about you and I want you to hear what I said,” He gave her a smile, “I missed you.”

“I missed you too,” She breathed, “I don't know what I'm gonna do without you next week when you to go New York.”

“You could always come with me,” He wrapped his arms around her, “Because I don't wanna be away from you for a minute. I'll have a little down time too, so we can see the city and spend some time together, just you and me.”

“I really want to, Babe,” She leaned her upper body against him as she hugged him and stared up into his eyes, “But I don't know how people are gonna feel about me and you yet.”

“The important people will be supportive, plus Mom's meeting me there and I want you to meet her,” He encouraged, “Please? I don't wanna be away from you for a whole week. I'll go crazy.”

She chuckled at how cute he was, “Okay. I'll come on one condition.”

“Anything,” He nodded.

“Kiss me first,” She commanded. He smiled and leaned down, capturing her lips in his, “My condition is that you take me out for fresh, East-Coast lobster.”

“Deal,” He chuckled, “I'll get you 80 lobsters if it'll make you happy, Princess.”

“One is good. And you. I'll take one lobster and all of you,” She rested her chin on his abs and smiled up at him.

“You've already got me,” He whispered, “And I'm not going anywhere.”

“Promise?” She pouted.

“I promise, Baby,” He leaned down, pulling her to him in a tight hug as he took in the scent of her shampoo and perfume, “I promise I'm never going anywhere."
