2. Chapter 2: Music Class

This is the song I used for the chapter

Picture of Chris

I sat at my music stand, strumming to A.M. by One Direction.

(G D A Bm)

As the singing comes up, I start to sing.

Won’t you stay till the a.m.

All my favorite conversations always made in the a.m.

Yeah, yeah

Feels like this could be forever right now, don't wanna sleep cause we're dreaming out loud
Trying to behave but you know that we never learn how
You and me were raised in the same part of town, got these scars on the same ground
Remember how we used to kick around just wasting time?

Won't you stay 'til the A.M.? All my favourite conversations
Always made in the A.M cause we don't know what we're saying
We're just swimming 'round in our glasses and talking out of our asses
Like we're all gonna make it, yeah yeah

You know I'm always coming back to this place
You know and I'll say
You know I'm always gonna look for your face
You know

Won't you stay 'til the A.M.? All my favourite conversations
Always made in the A.M cause we don't know what we're saying
We're just swimming 'round in our glasses and talking out of our asses
Like we're all gonna make it, yeah yeah

Won't you stay 'til the A.M.?
You know I'm always coming back to this place
Won't you stay 'til the A.M.?
You know
Won't you stay 'til the A.M.?
You know I'm always gonna look for your face
Won't you stay 'til the A.M.? Yeah yeah

I set my hands on my lap as I hear someone clapping behind me. I whirl around to see Chris Roberts (A.K.A My Sister), and also my friend of 4 years, in a hello kitty shirt, black mini skirt, white leggings, and black combat boots. Her curled pigtails bounced as she walked over and hugged me.

You see, my mum got married to my stepdad 5 years ago, but he died 4 years ago of leukemia. As a result, Chris was left was left to bare her own at the terrors at a foster home. Due to me and her just becoming friends, I cried and wept to my mum to let her stay with us. She's the one thing that keeps me sane. I don't know what I'd do without her.

"How ya doing, big bro?" She asked happily, popping a red lollipop in her mouth. Chris and I are exact opposites. She has ink-black long curly hair, emerald green eyes, and she stands at a petite 5'4, thus giving her curves of a real woman. Every other week, she has a different guy, I swear. But I love her so it doesn't matter to me.

"Normal as always, lil sis." I said, pushing as much enthusiasm into my voice as I could. I guess she could sense that I was upset, because she toned down the happiness and sat next to me, wrapping her arms around me.

“I don’t know what’s going on, bro. But if it’s what I’m thinking, she’s not worth it.” Chris told me, standing up and pulling me up. She proceed to drag me out of the room.

“Wait! What about clas-” I was cut off by the bell ringing. Looks like I’m stuck with her.
