4. The 8th Move (September 7, 2013-Present)
On September 7, 2013, something extremely bittersweet happened.
We went to Trafalga. They had laser tag, arcade games, and a few rides. Unfortunately, my archenemy happened to be there. And, even with him chasing me around the dark arena, I still scored third place out of all four teams. However, a terrible storm ruptured our house while we were there. Our car, which happened to be a Ford Explorer, managed to hold. We arrived home to our downstairs apartment.
However, our apartment downstairs was now flooded, soaking several items on the floor and ruining the carpet, which later hardened, grew mold and began to stink. Although our house seemed damaged beyond repair, Mom's new friend Sean let us live with him in his apartment until we found a new home. Although we could have found a new house in Provo (which was the seventh town we've lived in), Mom insisted we move to a house in Clearfield. Alas, when Sean moved from his apartment in Salt Lake City to live with his grandma, we still hadn't found a house.
Fortunately Jolene let us live downstairs in her 2-story home down the road. Finally we found a new home in Clearfield. It was far larger than our downstairs apartment, and also the first time we lived in a non-apartment and non-duplex. It had a downstairs, but no upstairs.
I also had a new junior high, one that I still attend today. Ammon's new school was an Elementary School not far from mine. My teacher taught for two years before she retired in my third. That was understandable, as she was 66 years old. I was a bit shocked when her 50-year-old aide, Mrs. Hailey, retired as well. Despite this, my new (slightly younger) teacher isn't that bad. My best friends at this school are Tyson, Rebecca, and Brianna.
