Diary Of An Awkward Teen

This is my entry for the year-round diary competition. This is a time I don't want to forget, as high-school begins in a middle school building and adulthood is less than four years away. Besides most of the names, this is all 100 percent true.

13. School In Winter

I still wear a coat to school, but tend to lose it a lot. Usually I go back for it...

Also, art class is going better than when it started, yet Social Skills is going worse. The other periods are the same, and the A days and B days are still in check. In a second case, Mr. Travis brought us downstairs. There a squad of girls came in and asked for donations. I apologized that I had no money on me, and promised to bring some on Monday.

On that very day, Mom made me go to a performance in a nearby town. It turned out to be more enjoyable than expected, and I got to tell Santa what I wanted for Christmas--the seventh Harry Potter film on DVD.

On Thursday, I did well the first four periods of the day, but that was tarnished by the incident during 5th.

The final week did not start well. On Monday, I was still on probation for the skirmish on Thursday. On Tuesday, it was over, but the bus came 2 hours late. This was after a doctor's appointment. As a result, each period lasted for 47 minutes instead of 80. Lunch still lasted for a half hour, though.

On the following Thursday, Mom suggested we have a meeting

Later, I went to see Star Wars: Episode VII with my family on opening night. Shockingly, we even skipped the first four periods of school in the process. The movie was amazing, but (spoiler alert!) Han Solo was killed off by the leader of the new Sith Order.

After coming back to school, we attended the "No D's Or F's" party in the gym after 5th period. We played games, and the teachers served doughnuts. Unfortunately, I had Celiac disease, I've had it for life, and as a result, I gave it to a friend. Then I came home. Christmas Break has officially begun.
