3. Joining Movellas (November 2013-June 14, 2014)
On March 16, 2012, I joined Storybird.
My cousin told me about it, and I was delighted to share my work with more than my family and close friends. Despite all it had to offer, and having more than 100 followers, I was annoyed at the clear paranoia of the moderating crew and hoped there was a site where I could write about any subject. I suggested in the recently established forum box that we should rate them instead of reject the slightly bad ones, which would be Y-rated on here. A staff said he disagreed, but he also had good news: there was a site called Movellas that ensured online safety that very way.
I asked my mom if I could make an account there. She approved, as the moderators disgusted her too and she was glad I could now write about virtually anything.
And then disaster again roared its ugly head. The site said I had to be 13. And I'm like, WTF? I have to wait for 6 months?
And yet, the day finally came. On June 9, 2014, I created my account here and named it after me, my brother, and our nicknames in one. My nickname was Sugar Bear back in the day, and Ammon's was Little Pumpkin. Since Isaac was my middle name, I used that. Mom did not activate it for another five days.
Later Ammon created his own account on Movellas. He called it storyteller91. We both became successful, and while not half as popular as some we had more success than many users here.
Although I still get on Storybird occasionally, Movellas is my main storytelling zone.
