Diary Of An Awkward Teen

This is my entry for the year-round diary competition. This is a time I don't want to forget, as high-school begins in a middle school building and adulthood is less than four years away. Besides most of the names, this is all 100 percent true.

15. December 24, 2015 (Christmas Eve)

The previous night, Mom and Ammon went on a sleepover at Sean's house. I didn't see them until 12 p.m. on Christmas Eve. This is when they came. And Mom had a surprise--it was time to go to Red Robin for Christmas lunch!

And off we went, driving on the Inner State briefly before turning onto the restaurant. Along with Sean and a woman named Britney, we went inside, and, after a 5-minute wait, got our eat at the far end of the place. Everyone had come to eat on Christmas Eve at one of the only restaurants that were open. We placed our orders afterwards; I ordered a cheeseburger without the bun and steak fries. They were delicious and served separately.

After saying goodbye to Britney, we mounted our car and headed home, dropping off Sean on the way. Ammon and I were staying, but Mom had a second place she needed to be. And off she went back to Sean's house.

Amid other things, we watched How The Grinch Stole Christmas--the good version where Boris Karloff totally owned Jim Carrey. After wrapping a present, we packed up for a sleepover at Sean's, and due to Mom's rules, my first ever.

When we arrived, I stowed my things in what was once the bedroom belonging to Sean's grandmother. But after she passed away, the bedroom was usually unoccupied.

Afterwards, Ammon played on the laptop, and I got a turn to use it as well. He got on Roblox; I got on Movellas and Wattpad. Eventually we made fudge and caramel, and Sean made sure they were free of corn and gluten.

I got on the desk-mounted computer after that with Sean's permission. Meanwhile, the caramel and fudge cooked in the oven. Eventually, I went to bed in the new guest bedroom and fell asleep soon.
