Diary Of An Awkward Teen

This is my entry for the year-round diary competition. This is a time I don't want to forget, as high-school begins in a middle school building and adulthood is less than four years away. Besides most of the names, this is all 100 percent true.

17. Back To School (January 4, 2016)

On January 4, school began anew. I woke up at 6:50 and, after getting ready, waited for the bus. Finally, it came. I got on board, and it was no surprise when the Christmas decorations were stripped. To my surprise, the bus assistant was not there.

When I arrived, the halls seemed louder than usual. Soon, I learned that there was a problem with the iPads, and I wasn't allowed to use them in any specific period. After going to first, Ms. Drevers taught an extremely boring message that I could hardly process.

In second period, we corrected a sentence and read a short yet awkward story. In third period, we learned more about algebra. The day so far had been normal, but what I really wanted was to go back home.

In fourth period, I finished the coloring required for our special project. On Wednesday, it will be time to execute the next step.

And in fifth, we had a lesson on Social Skills. And after the lesson--reading and computers!
