As Harry and I walked the little trail to the meadow, we talked.
He was talking about what it was like touring and singing and I listened, intrigued.
We continued on and thankfully I never tripped....I was bad to do that.
I wasn't clumsy, I just tended to trip easily these days for some odd reason.
As we continued to talk, the subject changed.
"So do you miss being un-popular?" I ask, knowing that he hates it when people use the word 'famous'.
"Sometimes...It depends really." He says. "I liked baking back home in the little bakery and singing with my band White Eskimo--It's depends on what I'm feeling."
I nod. "I understand."
We take a few more steps, filled with silence and then he smiles at me. "So, what do you plan on doing after we get back?"
Thinking about that for a minute, my answer is honest. "I have no idea."
He chuckles. "You're just trying to live life--Something you weren't doing when you were constantly working."
I nod. "Thats....True." A smile forms on my face and he takes my hand as we step out into a clearing.
Looking around, I smile and my eyes widen at the sight.
All sorts of wildflowers were blooming beautifully across the field and my eyes couldn't take it in with just one look.
As we walked further into the field, I smiled, squeezing Harry's hand.
"This is incredible!" I say unable to stop smiling.
Harry smiles, watching me and I kiss his cheek.
"Thank you so much for this! I love it, I absolutely love it!" I say prancing around.
He chuckles and we walk further out into the field before sitting down.
As I gaze out at the blue sky and the wildflowers surrounding us, I smile even more.
My eyes are probably filled with excitement but I couldn't even think about that at the moment.
I was too happy and I was super curious and wonderous of everything.
The sun was shining down on the field making some things look like gold in my eyes.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Harry said, breaking the silence that surrounded the meadow.
As I smiled, slowly meeting his eyes, I nodded. "Yes, it truly is."
I feel his fingers trace something on the back of my hand, I smile even more.
"What did you trace onto my hand?" I ask, curiously.
"The word 'Mine'." He says.
Slightly blushing, I avoid his gaze. "Why did you trace that word onto my hand?"
"Because that's what I want you to be...Mine." He says softly and I turn to look at him seriously.
"Harry, I'm not exactly sure that that would be best---"
"I'm sure--Very sure!" He says looking deeply into my eyes. "I love you Brooklyn and I want to continue loving you."
While I listen and watch him, I can't help but smile.
"Meeting you was one of the best things thats ever happened to me and I don't want to let you go or lose you." He says.
"But Harry, we haven't even known each other for that long." I state.
He pulls out a ring from his jeans pocket.
"But it's been long enough..." He says smiling at me. "This isn't an engagement ring, it's a promise ring."
Looking at the promise ring, my face turns totally serious. "Harry have you really thought about this?"
"Yes...Alot." He says smiling at me.
I nod and smile.
Harry made me feel happy and free--He made me smile and laugh--, and I decided to take a risk.
"Alright." I say with a smile as he places the ring on my finger.
He kisses my hand and I snuggle up to him, enjoying the beauty of the meadow.
