Me and the boys got back to our suite in Novotel. Alys was sitting on the couch on her phone, and looked a whole lot better than before. Color had returned to her cheeks, she looked a lot less paler, and her face and eyes shined as brightly as usual. Relieved, I rushed up to her. As soon as she saw me, her eyes widened and she powered off her phone.
“Hello, Harry, boys,” greeted Alys. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and sat down next to her.
“How are you feeling, love?”
“Much better, thank you, Harry.” Alys wrapped her arms around my neck and pressed her lips to mine in a kiss. Just then, Niall make a loud, dramatic gagging sound. We pulled away and I glared at Niall, who was faking a vomit.
“You guys had to kiss in front of us. Seriously,” said Niall, rolling his eyes.
Alys laughed. “Niall, last time we kissed in front of you, you cheered. I wouldn't be the one talking now.”
Niall squinted at Alys and scrunched up his nose with playful scorn, and then sat down on the couch and turned on the television to football, the match was Chelsea against FCB. Liam and Louis piled on the couch on top of him. “Yeah, Chelsea!” Yelled Louis. I nodded for Alys to follow me into the bedroom.
Harry kicked off his shoes and flopped down on the bed. I pulled out my phone when it rang. Mum. I sat down on the bed and held the phone to my ear.
“Hello?” I asked.
“Hello? Alys, love.” gushed mum. “I missed you so, so, so much. How’s everything?”
“Good.” My tone of voice sounded pretty distressed, since my thoughts traveled to Damen. To cover it up, I added quickly: “The boys are doing fine too.” I feel Harry’s eyes on mine, but I don't look over at him.
“Good. I'm coming home in a few days.”
“Great. Lots of things to see here. It's so much different than London, but I'm sure it’s a lot warmer here.” I laughed.
“Yeah. Well, have fun at Chicago.”
“Take care, Alys. Don't go looking for trouble.” Too late, mum. “You too, bye.” I respond, hanging up. Harry slides an arm around me and pulls me closer to him.
“Alys...I, um, need to have a word with you.”
“I'm listening, Harry.” I lay my head on his shoulder, he brushes away my hair and kisses my forehead, then sighs.
“I got a… a text from the management today,” he responds softly, his intense green eyes on mine. “It was about the tour. It's coming up in a week from now.”
“They said…well, um, it’s starting a lot sooner than I thought it would. It's a week from now...I'm heading back to America for a few months.”
Once the words leave his mouth, I feel the tips of my fingers get cold. Harry sees the startled expression on my face and takes my hand, folding his fingers through mine. His hand is a lot warmer than mine. I squeeze it a little.
I nervously tuck my hair back behind my ear. “Well, um, Harry, that’s great! I mean, touring in America, that’s something, isn't it?”
“But I'll be gone,” says Harry quietly. “And… Ever since I've met you… Things have changed. My life’s been a whole lot better. Not that I wasn't enjoying it before, but-”
“Shh, Harry, I know.”
Harry smiles weakly at me. “And I can't really stand it without you.”
I wrap my arms around his neck. Harry wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me close, grinning. Laughing, I kiss him. When we pull away, Harry’s eyes suddenly turn back to somber. “Alys, I don't really know how I could do a few months away from you.”
“Harry.” I whisper. “Don't cancel a tour just for a girl like me. Just go on and chase your dreams and be happy. I'll make sure to keep on calling you and all.”
“Promise?” Harry gives me puppy dog eyes. I laugh. “It's a deal, Mr. Styles.”
Harry gives me another kiss and holds me close to him. “Want to watch a movie?”
“What makes you say that?”
“You’re weird. Let’s watch a horror movie.”
“Whoa, there. Think you can handle that, missy?”
“Sure I can handle it, Harold. I'm tolerant to these types of things.” I really actually wasn't (I have a really wild imagination), but I felt like watching it with Harry anyways. I always liked a good scare.
Me and Harry finally settled on a creepy doll horror movie on Netflix. It scared the living daylights out of me, there were so many jump scares. When the movie was done, I had gone cold and goosebumps were all around my arms. Harry laughed at my frightened expression and pulled me close to him, his warm, strong arms wrapping around me. I layed my head on his chest and he kissed my cheek.
“You okay?” He whispered in my ear. His breath tickled and sended shivers down my spine.
“Yeah,” I breathe. “Just… Feeling a bit weird. Like a voodoo doll could just jump out at me right now.”
Harry laughs. “I'll protect you from that.” God, why does Harry always have to be this adorable?
I lay closer to him and he rubs my shoulders, and we soon fall asleep.
