I opened my eyes to my phone ringing loudly, I picked it up.
“Alys!” I heard mum say cheerfully. “I'm making my way back home! At the airport and about to board the plane right now!”
“Great!” I exclaim. I look over at the sleeping Harry, imagining his sparkling green eyes underneath, thinking of how we were going to part. “So excited for you to come back, mum.”
“How are you and the boys doing?”
“Fine…” I gently tapped Harry on the shoulder. He woke up and smiled. I pointed at the phone and mouthed: How am I supposed to tell my mum about my ankle?
Harry’s green eyes got troubled. He mouthed back to me: Just tell her you fell down the stairs and cut your ankle on something sharp.
I hated lying to mum, so a bit regretfully, I replied, “Well, I kind of, um, tripped on the stairs of the hotel…and cut my ankle-”
“What?!” Exclaimed mum. “You…”
“I'm totally fine. Nothing bad. Just a minor cut. Doesn't even hurt.” I winced as I lied again. In truth, it hurt like someone just yanked my ankle into a fire and kept it there to burn.
“Okay.” Mum sounded a bit more relieved. “I got to run. I'll text you on the plane, yeah?”
“Bye, love. Take care.” I hung up the phone and turned to Harry. “Mum’s coming back today…”
Harry smiled. “That's great, Alys…” He looked a bit down. “It's just…”
“We’ll spend as much time as we can before we leave, Harry.” I say. Harry nods.
“Okay.” He whispers. I lean towards him and kiss him softly. He runs his hands through my hair and then I pull away slowly.
“My god, you’re so adorable.” Harry says, shaking his head and kissing me again.
I grab his hair as the kiss got more intense. Harry drew me closer to him to let me feel the warmth in his body. I moaned slightly against his lips, he smirked. He pushed me on the bed so I was facing him and he pinned me down. "One last gift before you leave, Alys," he said. I smirked. "Yeah?"
Harry nodded and kissed my cheek, my forehead, my neck, then my lips, slow and soft at first but then at a faster tempo. I grabbed the hem of his shirt and threw it off him. Harry turned off the lights and slid the covers of the bed over us.
We woke up again late morning and the boys added a bit more to their song, 18. They also started another song, this time, letting me work on it a bit with them.
It was late afternoon when someone knocked on our door. I opened it, and to my huge surprise, mum was standing there. “Mum!” I exclaimed, hugging her and kissing her cheek.
“My lord, Alys. Missed you so much.”
The boys came over and hugged mum too. “How are you, Ms. Hilton?” Asked Liam.
“Good. Thank you so much, boys. For everything. And you can call me Penny.”
Mum’s eyes traveled to my ankle but quickly swiveled up again. “Alright. I'll give you boys some time with Alys. Alys, I’ll help you get your things.”
I smiled at her. “Thanks, mum.” Mum left the room and went to me and Harry’s bedroom.
I sighed. “My god, I'm going to miss you all so much,” I say. Liam comes over and hugs me.
“We’ll miss you too, love. We’ll try to keep in touch as much as we can, okay?”
Niall hugged me next, then Louis. “I'll send you a good supply of carrots,” he said. I smiled and rolled my eyes.
I finally turned to Harry. “Harry… I don't really know what to say,” I mumbled. Harry slid his hand around my waist and pulled me closer.
“There’s no need to, love,” and with that he pressed his lips to mine and we kissed.
“You’re the most adorable, beautiful, amazing girl I've ever met, Alys,” said Harry when we slowly pulled away. “I love you so much. Don't forget that.”
“I love you too, Harry.” I say. I feel myself tearing up. “Harry… enjoy the tour for me, will you?”
Harry smiled down at me. “Of course, love. I promise.” Harry pulls me close and gives me a hug and whispers in my ear, “I’ll never forget you, Alys Hilton. Never, never, never.”
He lets me go as mum comes out, carrying all my things. “You ready, Alys?”
I nod. The boys follow us out and mum puts my trunk in the back of the car and sits in the front. I kiss Harry one more time. “I love you.” I whisper. I get into the car and watch as the boys grow smaller in the distance as mum drives away. I can feel Harry’s beautiful green eyes on me as he disappears when mum rounds a corner.
I watched until the car disappeared. “I want to love like you’ve made me feel, when we were eighteen.” I sang quietly. I felt Liam’s hand on my shoulder. “We should get inside, mate,” he said, smiling sadly at me. I nodded.
We went into our hotel room again, and it felt cold and empty without Alys’s presence inside.
“It’s not that empty, is it, Styles?” I heard a cold voice behind me.
I screamed as a cold, sharp knife plunged through me.
