"Skyla, it's time to talk. We need to know what's going on and we need to know it now!" I say.
"Don't lie to me! I want to help you, but I can't if you want tell me the truth!" I say.
"Skyla, talk." Niall says coming up behind me.
She's silent, as if debating something.
"There are these three girls at School..." She says. "They know about Dad and the band, they know I'm his daughter and they're bullying me because of it. They're kinda like the plastic's in Mean Girl's."
I pay close attention to her, so does Niall.
"Every day, they're calling me out, embarrassing me in front of others, it doesn't stop." She starts tearing up. "The day that I didn't come home on the bus, they teamed up on me. I forgot my cell phone in the Gym locker room and went back to get it after school. I was trying to be quick, because I didn't want to miss the bus... But they followed me and teamed up on me. Janet, held my arms and Kayla held my legs, Paige then kicked me in the thigh... That's where the bruise came from... She didn't only kick me there, she kicked me in my side."
She lifts up he shirt to reveal a bruise that makes me gasp. Tears, form in my eyes and Skyla starts to cry.
"I tried to beat them off, but I couldn't because they were holding me down. They ended up tying me up to a pole and leaving me alone in the school. After I broke free, I just left my cell phone and went outside to sit on the curb, knowing that you or Dad would come sometime. The reason I got this scrape, is because Paige pushed me down on the sidewalk getting onto the bus.
"Skyla." I say getting up and going over to her. "Why didn't you tell us?"
"I thought I could handle it." She says.
I hug her. "Baby, don't ever keep something like this from us again!"
"We're going to talk to your principle tomorrow." I say.
"Mom, we can't." She says.
"Yes, we can and we will. I'm going to help you, you shouldn't have to go through this!"
"Skyla, we're helping you. Those girls are going to pay for what they did." Niall says.
"They didn't hurt you anywhere else did they?" I ask.
"When they tied you up, they didn't start doing bad thing to you right?" I ask.
"No. they left me." She says.
"You go upstairs and take a warm shower, then I'm going to bring something for those bruises." I say.
"Ok Mom, thank you both." She says.
She leaves and goes upstairs and I look at Niall with tears in my eyes.
"Niall, they've been hurting her." I say.
He hugs me tightly as I cry into his shoulder. "Baby, it's ok, we're going to get them."
"Niall, they've been hurting our daughter!" I say.
"I know sweetheart, we'll get them tomorrow, ok? I'm going with you."
I hug him and I don't let go of him.
