I was standing at the corner of the hall staring at him... There he was, Mr. Hotshot.
His messy blonde hair suited him and his blue eyes were like a lake full of clear, ice blue water.
I smiled and sighed as I seen him talking to one of his friends. I had never seen him until a few weeks ago, but he had been going here for two years! We just didn't have the same classes because he was a little older. It was strange though because we now had one class together...
I loved to read and I loved to write short stories and such, so I joined the writing class and so had he.
He was probably about six foot tall and he was so good looking. I was wishing that he would notice me, but I was one in a sea of girls.
Finally, the bell interrupted my moment of thinking about him and I was forced to go into class.
One more class and I could then go to my writing class.
I walked into class already bored. Afterwards, I went to my locker, then to my writing class.
He sat beside me and my heart rate sped up a little bit.
His eyes met mine for a split second, then the teacher came in and we turned our attention to her.
"Today class, we are going to write a new ending to the famous Shakesphere book 'Romeo and Juliet' " Our teacher says.
"You can write whatever ending you want, but please make it make sense." She says. "You may begin."
I opened my notebook and started writing.
I did my best cursive and I was already happy with my work.
I kept stealing glances at him. He was so handsome and I was constantly thinking about him.
Suddenly the world was out of mind and I was daydreaming about him and me, and what we could be...
I wrote my ending to the famous love story and then handed it to the teacher.
Then, I was able to leave because that was it.
Given the free time, I went and sat at my locker. It was silent and I could pretty much do what I wanted too, but I just wanted to think.
After a few minutes, the bell rang.
Seeing a familiar friend of mine, I stand up.
Jenny makes her way over to me and smiles.
"Come on, tell me who it is!" She says excited.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"You have a crush and you aren't telling me about it!" She says.
I blush. Jenny knew a lot of my secrets. She loved my Dad's band and was a true friend to me, she wasn't just a friend to me because she was a fan.
"I'm not saying a word." I say.
"No fair!" She says with a pout on her face.
I laugh a little bit and then I notice him.
His blue eyes watching me from a distance. He was with one of his friend's at their locker. My eyes met with his and then Jenny snapped me back into reality.
"Hello? Earth to Skyla???" She says waving her hand in front of my face.
I look back at her. "Sorry."
She giggles. "It's fine. So tell me!"
"Ok, I will later." I say.
"You're no fair." She says.
"I am being fair. I'm not gonna tell you when he's around!" I whisper to her.
Her eyes widen as she scans the room. She completely over looks him and turns back to me.
"Where?" She asks.
"Not saying anything until later." I say.
She mumbled something and walked away. I loved having Jenny as a friend. She was very dependable and always perky. It was just her nature.
I smiled and got ready to walk away from my locker, but that was when I noticed that he was still watching me. I looked into his beautiful blue eyes for just a second before smiling and walking away.
I wasn't about to wait for him to walk over and talk to me, he'd have to do that when I wasn't paying attention or else I'd probably run.
Why would I run? Well, I wouldn't know what to do or say that's why. I was the type where I can't really talk to guys. It's just always been a little hard for me. My Dad, yeah, I can talk to him because he's, well, my Dad. But this guy wasn't my Dad, he was something that I'd never had... A crush.
Jenny had decided to come home with me and we both rode the bus together back to my house.
We finally got off and ran into the kitchen, sitting down at the table. My Mom was there.
"Hey girls. How are you Jenny?" She asks.
"Doing good Mrs. Horan. What about you?" Jenny asks.
That was another thing I liked about Jenny. She respected people and was kind and considerate.
"Jenny, it's alright to call me Tessa. I've been good." Mom says.
"Are you sure?" Jenny asks.
"Positive." Mom says.
"Ok, then thank you Tessa." Jenny says.
Mom smiles. She got along with my friends very well, making them feel at home and comfortable.
You see, Jenny and I had been friends for about three months and she never knew who my Dad was.
I didn't want to tell her because I feared that she would just want to meet my Dad and would constantly be over at my house screaming and fangirling. Although, with the last name "Horan" it's kind of hard for people not to guess who my Dad is.
The first time I let Jenny come over, was the day she got to meet my Dad.
I had been nervous especially to how she would react. The guys were there and we were sitting in the living room when they all walked in.
We were talking and then they came through the door. I said "Hey" to my Dad and the guys and Jenny turned to look at who it was.
Her eyes widened and she turned back to face me.
"That's your Dad?" She had asked.
I nodded and bit my bottom lip waiting to see how she would respond.
Well, Jenny fainted. I mean, I couldn't really blame her. I would too if my best friend's Dad was a celebrity!
Jenny was alright after my Mom came in and helped her out a little. Then, Jenny met my Dad and my Dad's bandmates.
After that day, she was so comfortable around them that you'd think she'd been around them for a while.
I smiled at the memory.
"Ok Skyla, now tell me who it is." Jenny says.
My Mom looked at us smiling and then turned back around.
I was silent. I wasn't scared to tell Jenny or my Mom, but it was a little embarrassing to me in a way.
"Who is your crush?" Jenny asked.
My Mom straightened her back a little and slowly turned around smiling.
"Is that why you've been acting so strange lately?" Mom asks.
"Well, um, yeah... I guess." I say.
"Who is it?" Jenny pleads.
I laugh a little.
It's the new guy." I say.
"Refresh my memory..." Jenny says thinking.
"Blonde hair, incredible blue eyes, about six foot." I say.
Her eyes widen and she smiles. "Cody!"
"Huh?" I ask.
"His name is Cody. They had an article in the School paper that a new Student named Cody would be coming soon. They had his picture and everything!" Jenny says.
I smiled and looked down.
"I can't believe it! Cody Stevens!" Jenny says.
My Mom smiled.
"Well Skyla, you sure do go for the Prince Charming's, don't ya?" She asks.
I laugh a little.
"I can't help it! He's so cute!" I say.
I smile just thinking about it.
