I was looking at myself in the mirror one last time. Tonight, I had a date with my crush, Cody Stevens.
Smiling, I looked at my dress. I was wearing my favorite grey dress that came just above my knees. I had on some black leggings and my grey boots to match.
Grabbing my purse, I started down the stairs.
Cody was there talking to my Mom and Dad, oh no.
I smiled and came to the door.
"Hey Cody." I say with a smile.
"Hey Skyla." He says taking my breath away with his voice.
"Are you ready?" He asks.
"Yeah." I say.
"You two be careful and have fun." Mom says.
"Thanks, love you." I say to them as we leave.
Cody has his license. He got it a few months back when he first turned sixteen.
I smiled as I climbed into his car. He'd been saving his money up for one and he got an old Mustang.
He closed my door once I was in and then walked around to the driver side.
We go to a restaurant, which happens to be my favorite, and eat.
After dinner, we sit there and talk.
It was of simple things, but they still meant the most for me.
"If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you?" Cody asked.
"I think I'd move to Tennessee. My Mom used to live there before her parents moved here." I say.
"Interesting." He says with a smile.
"Where would you move?" I ask him.
"I would move to New York. Always something to do there." He says.
"That is true." I say.
"So what's it like being the daughter of a famous boy-band singer?" He asks.
"Well... It can be quite difficult at times, others it's more fun. The fans never cease to amaze me or my Dad. I'm always fascinated by what they do." I say. "Although, it's not fun when the paparazzi are coming up with stories about you."
"I bet." He says. "I've never understood why they would want to hurt someone by lying about them."
"Well, not all of them are out to get people... I've met a few that actually want to get real details instead of taking my words and twisting them." I say.
He smiles at me. "You have the prettiest eyes."
"Thank you." I say blushing.
He continues to smile at me as we leave. He takes me for a walk, which is one of my favorite things to do at night.
For a few moments, everything is quiet... But then, Cody reaches for my hand and holds it.
I smile as my heart skips a beat.
Later on, he takes me home and when he walks me to the door, he tells me goodnight. We're standing there talking for a few minutes.
I wasn't gonna trust this guy yet! I might have met him, but now I was watching him.
They were outside the door and I was about to unlock the door and open it, interrupting them.
Tessa, though had her eyes on me as I was spying on the two.
"Niall Horan! Leave your daughter and her date alone!" She says walking over to me.
"Tessa, I don't trust this guy." I say.
"That's because he's exactly that, a guy!" She says.
The sad thing was that she was right.
"Niall, you know better than to spy on people." She says crossing her arms.
"This is different." I say.
She just frowned at me. I had to admit, she looked so cute that I just had to kiss her.
I came over to her and embraced her, kissing her lips softly but hungrily.
Then, I pulled away, right before her hands found my hair.
"They better not be kissing!" I ran back to the door and I thought I was gonna burst.
I had never been kissed, but when Cody leant down and kissed me softly, I was amazed.
It felt so right, but then so different.
I smiled as he pulled away.
"I'll see you later." He says with a smile.
"Yeah, you too." I say smiling, right as I opened the door.
I walked in to see Mom clutching onto Dad's arm.
Worry washed over me.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Your Dad likes to spy that's what's wrong!"" Mom says.
"For a good reason!" Dad says.
"You're lucky I grabbed his arm in enough time or he would have interrupted your kiss." Mom says.
I blush at her words.
"I'm gonna go up to my room." I say smiling.
"Ok, but tomorrow, you're telling me everything!" Mom says with a wink.
I wink back at her and head up to my room, where I think about my date and Cody....
