On Friday, I walked from class to class wondering if I'd ever be able to leave, but then hoping that I could stay a little longer.
Seeing him was the best part of my day and it felt awesome when I caught him watching me.
Ever since I learned his name, I haven't been able to stop saying it or writing it down.
I smiled as I rounded the next corner, although I actually bumped into someone, dropping my books.
I didn't even look up.
"I am so sorry!" I say picking up my books.
"No, no, you're fine." He says.
I was picking up my last book and then I started to stand up.
"I should've been watching where I was----" We both said but then stopped when we seen who we were talking to.
I took a deep breath.
"Skyla, right?" He asks with a smile.
"Yeah. Cody, right?" I ask with a smile.
"Yeah." He says laughing a little.
"You seemed to be in a rush." He says.
"Well, I actually have to be home this after noon after School. My Dad's friends are coming over." I say.
"That is right! Your Niall Horan's daughter." Cody says.
"Yeah, I am." I say.
"I bet you get that a lot, you know about being his daughter?" He says.
"Yeah. When I first started coming here nobody could believe it was me." I say smiling. "How do you know my Dad and his bandmates?"
"Well, I have a little sister who is in love with them and their music." He says.
"Oh, wow." I say.
"Yeah. You should here her in the car every single day." He says laughing.
I laugh too. "I can relate to that, my younger sister likes to blast Taylor Swift in the car. Of course I don't mind because I love Taylor Swift, but I know what you're saying."
He smiles. "Um, Skyla, I was wanting to ask if you wanted to go out sometime?"
My heart stopped and so did my breathing.
"Yes, that sounds like fun." I say with a smile.
"Great, I'll pick you up at five-thirty tomorrow?"
"Yeah, that's fine." I say.
"Great, I'll see you then." He says.
"Yeah, you too." I say and bite my lip as he walks away.
I pretty much ran to my locker and then out to catch the bus.
I couldn't wait to get home and tell Jenny or Mom!
When the bus finally got to my house, it felt like I only had minutes left to get ready for something huge.
Smiling as I ran through the door, I ran upstairs, past my Mom.
I went into my bedroom and called Jenny on my cellphone.
She answered thank goodness.
"Skyla, what's happening?" She asked happily answering.
"You are not going to believe what happened today before I left School." I say laying on my bed with my feet up in the air.
"What?" She asks.
"Cody asked me out!" I say trying to stay calm and be quiet.
"What?!?!?" She asks surprised. "No way!"
"Yes, way! He asked me as I was running to leave." I say.
"Oh my gosh! Skyla, this is incredible!" She says.
"I know!" I say.
"Do your parents know?" Jenny asks.
"No, not yet. I've gotta tell Mom." I say.
"Well, I'm gonna go. You go tell your Mom about this." She says happily.
"Ok, thanks Jenny. Bye." I say and hang up.
I walk down into the kitchen finding just Mom in there. All of the guys were in the living room talking and watching TV.
"Hey Mom?" I ask.
She turns to me and smiles. "Hey Skyla, what's up?"
"Well, I kinda have a date tomorrow..." I say shyly.
She smiles. "That's great sweetheart! Oh my gosh, with who?"
"Cody Stevens." I say.
"Your crush? Wow." Mom says surprised.
"I wish my crush would've asked me out back in highschool." She says.
I laugh a little. "We might have a problem though..."
"Why?" She asks.
"Dad?" I say.
Her face turns serious. "Don't worry, I'll handle him sweetheart." She says with a smile.
"Are you sure?" I ask worried.
She smiles again. "I've got this. You go upstairs and do your homework. I'll handle him in just a minute."
I smile. "Thank you Mom!" I say hugging her.
She hugs me back. "Your welcome Skyla."
We release each other and I run upstairs to do my homework.
I'm excited and happy. I can't wait until tomorrow!
