Rob read yet another riddle left by his grandfather.

Now that you’ve discovered the Barren ground

The treasure you seek is not all around

But hidden inside a tall chimney stack

There’s a hole in the top; look for a crack

Climb to its opening and there it reveal’s

When the suns at its zenith; a rich yellow seam.

Rob came back to the first tunnel and showed them the riddle.

So where is this chimney?

Well there’s non in the other caves so let’s go though it again.

“Da’ read it out again please will you? Rob sat on the rocks where the others sat as Robert recited the riddle.

So we know that the gold isn’t all around this place but in one specific place.

“Yes a bloody chimney said James but where is the fire.

Rob looked up and stared at the sky.

Then at his watch it was ten to three in the afternoon.

“I wonder he laughed out loud again.”

“What is it son?

“That’s it when the suns at its zenith it will reveal where the gold is.

“All we have to do is wait.”

At precisely three o’clock the sun lit up the cave and looking up shielding their eyes they saw nothing then as the sun moved there was a light coming from the wall.

“Look, there on the right that’s it.”

“Get my rucksack and the ropes; Rob walked around the pool then took out his climbing hammer and began to place cams into the cracks in the rock he got the ropes from James then slowly climbed up he found some places where his grandfather had scaled years before that were covered in moss now. He carried on until he found a hole just big enough for a man to get into. It was covered by the branches of a tree and the roots ran down he grabbed hold of one of them then climbed up until he was able to place his foot on the ledge  he grabbed the lip then swung himself inside.

He shone the torch inside and the golden sheen came back at him. Rob reached inside his pocket of his shirt then put on his sun glasses.

“Have you found it son?

“Yes its unbelievable Da’ There must be about two million ounces here.

There was a sack on the ground with about a stone of gold dust in it He placed it into his rucksack then came down.

Look at this he said as he opened the bag so they could see the small nuggets of gold.

“We are rich said James.”

“Not so fast gentlemen said a voice behind them as Gary Jacobs and Rob Johansen held out a gun in front of them..

“You forgot about the ladies said Robert.”
