How much is there?

“There is twenty seven thousand pounds. Would you like me to order you a taxi?

“Please.” Where can I get a briefcase Giles; I don’t want to be seen carrying this cash about on the street

“I’m sure we can help you there sir just hold on a moment.

Giles returned with the money neatly placed inside a briefcase shut the case

Once Robert had checked it; Giles gave him a set of keys to lock it.

“Your taxi is outside; good luck.”

           “Thank you Giles.”

Robert walked out of the bank and got into the taxi and it took him directly

to Heathrow Airport.

He checked in a got a flight to Glasgow; he would be home within an hour he thought.

He boarded the plane at six twenty and it took off at six thirty.

Robert was tired after his journey but the excitement of what he had in possession kept him awake. He opened the bag from the bank again then took out the letter and reread the riddle. It didn’t make sense to him at all. The monk’s abbey could be anywhere He read the other papers but they were only giving details of the merchant ships that his father had sailed with.

Then he looked at the post cards. There was one of Hong Kong Island, another of Table Mountain in South Africa, There was a picture of someone in traditional dress banging a gong it had Korea on the front. All the cards were blank on the back except one and that was from Tynemouth from someone called Brenda Christie who was telling his father that she had done all his washing and tidied the house and hoped that he would be home soon. She thanked him for sending her money. On the front of the card it read; Tynemouth Priory Castle.

Priory Castle that’s it! The stone of tin is in the Priory, but where?

He looked more closely at the picture; he still couldn’t figure out where the stone was.

The plane landed and Robert took another taxi back home.

Patricia met him at the door when he came out of the lift and laughed when she saw him carrying the briefcase.

“Look at you Robert Hugh McCreadie you look like a businessman, not a ship yard welder.

They went inside where Robert told her everything. He opened the case after she laughed about the twenty seven thousand pounds.

Where did your father get that kind of money from Robert?

Wait until you see this. He placed his hand into the large blue velvet bag and pulled out the gold nugget.

“Wow is that what I think it is?

“Yes its pure gold Pat; God knows how much it is worth.

Pat put on the kettle and Robert went on to tell her about what was hidden somewhere within the priory castle in Tynemouth.
