“It is so nice to be able to just wake up, sit on the couch, and not worry about anything,” I smile and wiggle into the couch.
“It is beyond nice,” Emily smiles and wiggles a bit. “It is amazing. I can’t believe one day we won’t be doing this.”
“The summer just started. Don’t talk about it ending.”
Emily laughs, “Sorry. I don’t want to talk about it either. I love being over here. Nari is the greatest person.”
“She is. I’m glad to have her as a cousin.”
“Do you think she’ll let us come back next summer?”
“No doubt in my mind.”
We go silent and just enjoy the time we have to chill. Nothing to worry about. Nothing to think about but being so relaxed.
After a good twenty minutes of no talking between us, the doorbell rings.
Emily and I look at each other with a super confused faces.
“Should we open it?” I ask.
“Maybe they are just leaving a package at the door,” Emily responds.
The doorbell rings out again.
“I don’t think that’s right,” I sigh and stand up.
“Look through the peephole first,” Emily says.
“I will, don’t worry,” I smile and walk off to the front door.
The doorbell rings one more time before I make it to the front door.
“Geez, calm down,” I roll my eyes. “I’m coming.” I sigh and put my eye up to the peephole. The person I see on the other side makes my heart speed up just a tad.
Taehyung is standing outside with a small teddy bear in his arms. I’d forgotten he asked for my address last night.
“Welcome!” I fling the door open.
“Oh, hello,” Taehyung grins and looks me up and down.
“What?” I furrow my eyebrows at him.
“Clothes,” he points at me.
I look down and notice I am still in my pajamas, consisting of shorts and a baggy t-shirt. “This is awkward,” I look back up at Taehyung.
“Very cute,” he flashes his cute, rectangular smile. “Here,” he holds out the teddy bear for me.
“Oh, thank you,” I smile and take the fluffy teddy bear. “I’m sure you have to go to work right now.”
“Yes. I’ll see you later.”
I nod, “I look forward to it.”
Taehyung pats my head and smiles, “So cute.”
“Same to you,” I swat his hand away. “Now go sing and dance.”
He laughs and walks off. “Bye Amber.”
“Goodbye Taehyung,” I giggle and close the door. The teddy bear from Taehyung held against my side.
After a minute to my thoughts, I head back to the living room.
“Who was it that you yelled?” Emily asks.
Taehyung,” I hold up the teddy bear. “He gave me this.”
“That’s cute. I’m assuming that you gave him the apartment address, and he’s not a stalker.”
“Yeah. I told him last night. He asked for it. I think he’s going to keep coming over to give me random gifts.”
“That would be so cute. Namjoon doesn’t seem like that type of guy.”
“Is that your crush?” I smirk and plop down on the couch.
“Eh, I don’t know. He’s nice, and has a nice face. But, I’m not sure what to think.”
“Ah, I see. I’m not sure if I really like Taehyung or not.”
“You being serious?”
“Yes. I don’t know my true feelings for someone until I’ve known them a while, or in know a lot about them.”
“What are your true feelings for me?”
“You’re my best friend, so I love you.”
“That’s sweet. I love you too.”
“Being best friend’s rules,” I close my eyes.
“It does. It really does.”
Hope you liked it! I really love making cute scenes between Amber and Emily. It shows how deep their friendship really is. :)
