“And this is your room,” Nari opens the door at the end of the hall and motions us inside.
Emily walks in first, struggling to get her two suitcases through the door.
“We get the all day to unpack, right?” I start making my way into the room.
The room is divided in half equally, with the bunks pushed right against either the left or right wall. Two dressers are pushed against the sides of the headboards of the beds with enough space in between for a bookcase. On the wall with the door is a small TV on a small door less cabinet like thing, and two beanbags sit in front of the set up. A couple different consoles are hooked up to the TV and all the controllers are neatly in a basket under the cabinet thing.
“Of course,” Nari chuckles. “And since it’s almost dinner time, I’ll go start on that.”
“It’s almost dinner time?” Emily is shocked.
“Yes, we are thirteen hours ahead of the east coast. You guys jumped ahead in time, and I hope you two are tired when it’s time for bed.”
“We’ll try to sleep regardless,” I flop onto the bed on the left side of the room, slipping my backpack off my shoulders.
“Well, I’ll leave you two to unpack,” Nari nods. “I will call for you when dinner is done.” She looks at both of us with a sweet smile on her face before she walk off.
“We’ve done it,” I slip off the bed, now mine for the summer, and unzip my suitcase. “We’ve made it.”
Emily laughs and follows my lead of opening one of her suitcases and placing her backpack next to her. “We have made it. After a long plane ride and a jump in time.”
“I’m so pumped, I hope we can actually learn on this trip.”
“What about our summer reading?”
“We can do that on our plane ride home.”
“Or on a rainy day here.”
“Sure,” I grab some t-shirts and stand up to put them in my dresser. “Not this week, Nari will be teaching us and showing us some of the city.”
“Well yeah, I know that,” Emily is taking all of her clothes out first before putting them away. “Is there a lot of stuff to do if we don’t have her with us?”
“I think so, or else we wouldn’t be here. My parents trust us enough to let us go out as long as we have our cell phones. I think Nari will be the same, and we won’t go far. Hopefully we’ll make some friends and can hang with them.”
“That would be pretty sweet. As long as we can go out, get some fresh air, and not be in here the whole time unless Nari is home to take us places. I’ll be okay.”
“I think we should put on some music to make this more enjoyable,” I retrieve my phone from pocket and bring up my music. “Is Little Mix okay?”
“They are perfect.”
I click Little Mix’s icon and then the ‘Shuffle’ button. ‘Wings’ starts up and I instantly start humming along.
“You know, maybe we should listen to some Korean music next,” Emily comments.
“Oh yeah,” I grab more shirts after placing my phone on my bed. “I can find a band after this shuffles through an album worth of songs. Girl or boy band?”
“We can find one of each.”
“Good plan,” I place the shirts into the dresser. “Now, we might want to shut up so we can get all unpacked before dinner.”
Sorry that this chapter isn't that long like the last, I didn't have a lot of ideas for this scene that I wanted to happen. I promise the next chapter will be a bit longer, I've got a pretty good idea of what I want to do next. Anyways, hope you liked it! :D
