Traveling Abroad: Summer Love

Amber could've picked any place in the world to spend her summer vacation. Paris, Rio, London. But no, she picked Seoul, South Korea. Traveling there with her best friend, Emily, and staying with Amber's cousin, Nari. It's meant to be a time to relax and do whatever they want. What happens when they run into some guys who want to be friends and steal their time?

10. Home Alone

“Bye Nari, have a good day at work,” I yawn and rub my left eye as Nari slips on her shoes by the front door.

“Remember I’m just a call away,” Nari places her hand on the front door handle. “Don’t go too far from the house.”

“We won’t,” Emily leans into me.

“I’m not even sure we will leave the apartment today,” I shift around on my feet. “A day in is what we need.”

“Don’t blame you,” Nari smiles. “Just, remember to eat, shower, and don’t play video games all day.”

“We won’t,” Emily and I let out giggles.

“Ah, geulaeseo isanghan,” Nari opens the door. “You two are strange. I have to get going though. I’d love to stay and chat.”

“Bye Nari,” Emily and I wave at my cousin.

“Love you girls,” she smiles. “See you around six.” She nods and walks out the door.

Once the door shuts, and the lock is heard, Emily and I rush to the kitchen.

“So, should we make an original American breakfast?” I open the fridge. “Nari is all stocked up, thanks to the big grocery spree we did.”

“I don’t think we are skilled enough to make anything Korean based, so what are you craving?” Emily opens a cupboard.

“Eggs. I’m thinking omelets.”

“Oh yeah. That sounds perfect right now. What about French toast as well?”

“Get your ass in gear then,” I start pulling ingredients out of the fridge and placing them on the counter. “I’m not going to make all the food by myself. Get the pans and stuff out.”

“Of course, chill out,” Emily begins getting plates and cups out. “We are a team. Best friends do everything together.”

I smile and close the fridge, turning to face Emily. “That’s true.”

“So, after breakfast, what is the plan?”

“Hm, well, we should probably shower. That was a reminder from Nari.”

“Yeah, that’s a good thing to do. Then, video games?”

“Just for a little while. Then we should probably do something productive.”

“Well, our school work is done, so that means we have to tackle our personal to-do lists.”

“Oh yeah. Good thing we wrote all our goals down.”

“Yeah. Good job past us,” Emily chuckles.

“So, let’s get to cooking so that we can get to those personal goals.”

It's late (and short), but I got it out! I have two more chapters written and ready to be typed up, so I'll have one out tomorrow. I hope you liked this! :D
