“You are lying,” Nari stares at Emily and me. “He just walked up to you and now you have his phone number?”
“Yes, and yes,” I shift around on the couch. “He was so nice, and so was Namjoon.”
“All of BTS are like that. All seven of them.”
“There’s five other members I have to meet?”
“You can’t be sure that you’ll meet them,” Emily gives me a light shove. “What if Taehyung doesn’t text you?”
“I can’t believe this,” Nari shakes her head. “I need some tea.” She pushes herself out of the recliner and walks to the kitchen.
“He will text,” I glance at my phone on the coffee table.
“Did he say when?” Emily asks.
“No, but he said he would.”
“Hm, I trust he will.”
We go silent and just watch the random show playing on the TV. Nari has English subtitles on, but it is still confusing.
After about ten minutes, Nari comes back with her tea and sits back in the recliner. It’s at the same time she gets comfortable that my phone vibrates.
“Is that your boyfriend?” Nari teases.
I lean forward and snatch my phone off the table. The name across the screen makes me smile. “Well, I don’t know any other Taehyung’s.”
“Shut up,” Nari takes a sip of her tea.
“What does it say?” Emily asks.
I open the text and feel my heart clench. “Um, just hello.”
“Lies,” Emily shoves me. “Your face is all red.”
I read the text again and smile a little bigger.
‘Hello Amber! I want to see you again. Real soon!’
“Do you think you’ve found a boy you’ll want to date?” Nari begins channel surfing.
“I don’t even really know him,” I start thinking about how to respond to Taehyung.
“Does he seem interested?”
“He texted, that must mean something,” Emily comments.
‘Hi Taehyung! I’m free all summer, just let me know.’ I fire off the text.
“Maybe, maybe not,” Nari shrugs.
“He wants to see me again,” I break back into the conversation. “I assume the group lives together, but I’m sure he’ll want to meet up somewhere else before then.”
“As long as you two are together, you can do whatever you want,” Nari stops the TV on the news.
I look down at my new text message and smile. “So, it’s okay if we go to a coffee shop in two days?”
“Um, yeah, that’s fine. Just stick together. I trust you, Amber. I’m sure everything is going to go great. I have a small feeling that you might be leaving here with a boyfriend of some sorts.”
“Oh, I hope so,” I look at Emily. “Both of us would love a boyfriend.”
Emily smiles and looks at me. “That’s true. Maybe it’ll all work out.”
“It better. The boys here are so good looking, and so polite.”
“Just be careful,” Nari speaks up. “Hanging with famous boys could bring a little trouble to you.”
I hope you like it! Sorry it's been a while since the last chapter. I haven't had time to write. Another chapter will be up soon, I promise. :)
