Until him...

My name is Layla Drake and I live in an apocolypse, yeah I know its hard but I'm fine...

I manage fine by myself! Until I met him, he changed everything! I'm not sure yet if it was for better or for worse yet but we'll just have to wait and see I guess...

9. Night terrors

-flashback *dream*-

Hearing the screams coming from the large open field to the left of our camp, I immediately turned around and sprinted towards the touble...

Groaning in agonising pain Dale was surrounded by Rick and myself.

I looked down to see he had been ripped open by a walker

"No...this can't be." I said

"HERSHEL" Rick screamed

With that Daryl, Carol, Glen, Hershel, Maggie, Andrea, Beth came running over.

'I'm sorry' Hershel mouthed to Rick

Tears falling down her face, Andrea was a wreck and I couldn't just stand there and watch her go through something like this on her own.

I approached are and gently embraced her and whispered into her ear so only she could hear "everything's going to be okay"

I could feel the tears begin to fall but tried my hardest to stay strong for the rest of the group.

Rick was shaking immensely when he pulled out his gun from his belt and pointed it at Dales head.

Eyes widening, Dale looked directly into the middle of the barrel of the gun knowing his time was near.

"No" Daryl said bluntly

Taking the gun from Ricks hand, he nodded at him as if to say 'you shouldn't have to do this'

With that he crouched down and pointed the gun at Dales head.

"Sorry brother" BANG!

Carl was by my side and he looked concerned.

"Y-y-you were whimpering and crying in your sleep" Carl looked away as he said that and looked awfully shy.

"Thanks for waking me from my nap anyway, it's getting late..." I smiled a cheerful grin at him, trying to forget the horrid experience that I just had to relive.

Rick went along the plan for how we're going to take the prison and we did exactly what he said. We all trusted Rick with our lives and whatever he said was law around here.

He was our leader and a good one to, he always thought of us before himself which sometimes concerns me but all-in-all touches my heart to know that he treats us as if we were blood related.

We got in the prison courtyard with our weapons at the ready.

Lunging towards me two walkers typically tried to bite me but I swiftly dodged them leaving them to topple over each other and giving me an advantage.

Stabbing them in the head, I proceeded to kill seven more walkers.
