22. Mother's Day Special

I decided to make a Mother's Day special chapter and since Mother's Day is just 3 days away, I thought of making an early chapter and also shout-out to those who don't have mothers by blood, step-moms, maternal figures in their lives or never even knew their mom, show that love when Mother's Day comes.

Sarah gave Anais and the guys Mother's Day off. Jeremy drove to his parents house running after his mom like kid after the first day of kindergarten. "Mommy!" His mom hugged him tight. "Happy Mother's Day mommy! I love more than Eren killing titans." Jeremy's mom smiled at this. "That's the sweetest thing I ever heard from you Jeremy." She didn't mind that Jeremy loves anime and makes some anime references like last year when he sent her a One Punch Man themed Mother's Day card he made himself that said: "I'll one punch anyone who talks trash to you, Happy Mother's Day mommy <3 Jeremy."  "It's your day mom, what do you wanna do, have some peace and quiet, go to the movies, eat at that chicken wing place, look at my old photos?" his mom, Isabella looked at her son lovingly, "Now that you mention it, I did mentioned to you in a phone call about that chicken wing place, 'Wing King' that they were gonna serve the wings at half price on Mother's Day." Jeremy got out the coupons for 'Wing King'.

Mike went over to see his mom for Mother's Day. "Hi mom." Mike's mother, Debbie pulled him in a somewhat tight him. "Mom... choking, not breathing..." He said strained. "Sorry, I'm just happy to see my little Mikey today." He was able to catch his breath. "Mom, before you crush my windpipe again, I wanted to give you this." He handed her a bouquet of daffodils. "Mike, they smell lovely." "There's a surprise in the center." Debbie found a gift certificate to the Cheesecake Factory. "Mike you shouldn't have."

Fritz and his big sister Bernadette took their mom out to the movies to see Mother's Day. Scott spent the whole day with his mother watching classic TV sitcoms.  As for Vincent, He headed to the cemetery where his parents were buried. Flashbacks came to him making him remember that be became an orphan on his 13th birthday and lived with his Aunt Elise, Uncle Richy and cousin Jemma until he turned 16. "Hey mom, hey dad, it's me Vincent. I know I haven't visited you guys in a while except on my birthday last month. I brought you something for Mother's Day mom." He got some freshly picked lavender and lilac flowers. "They're your favorite and I remember you saying that they remind you of me." Vincent felt some tears welling up. "Miss you guys. I really do, if you guys were alive, I'm sorry for yelling at you and dad, I kept telling you to stop meddling but I was wrong. I needed you guys. I'm sorry, I really am." Vincent burst into tears holding a lavender close to his heart. "It's just not the same without you and dad. You must think I'm a disappointment. I killed 5 children and I really regretted doing that. Mom, I have something other than the lavenders and lilacs." He brought out a silver heart shaped locket from his pocket. "It's your locket mom, I always held on to it because it was a piece of you and I learned that I should learn to not hold on to the pain of the past." He placed the sliver locket among the purple flowers. "I'll try to visit you and dad whenever I can and happy Mother's Day, mom. I love you." With that, Vincent left the cemetery and headed home looking at the old pictures and home videos of him and his parents. He watched a home video of his very first trip to Disneyland. In the video, 3 year old Vincent took the camera from his mom and was unknowingly filming himself. He heard his mom's gentle laughter. "You're quite the cameraman aren't you Vinnie?" The 3 year old did a cross eye trick on camera. "I'm still a bit whacky now." Said Vincent.
