8. Consequences

Um... so as promised, the 8th Chapter is here!!! :D

Indeed, Samantha got into trouble with Miss Lee the next time they met for their class. Not only did Miss Lee gave her detention, but also gave a good three paragraph long speech about spacing out in class and a one page essay to write.

Yes, and that's all thanks to her boyfriend Justin Bieber.

A few weeks into a relationship with him and she can already see its consequences.

Samantha sighed in her seat, her right hand tapping the pen on the table as she thought of words to write.

A hand came up to hers, stopping her tapping. She looked at the owner of the hand.

"Stop tapping the pen. It's disturbing," Justin said with a small smile.

She beamed up at him and stood up. She embraced him briefly before pulling away and looking at him in the eye. She was too concentrated and frustrated over her essay, she didn't even hear him come in. "You're here!"

"Yep," he nodded. "With a gift of course," then he raised his occupied right hand.

Her eyes widened. "Yay! Greasy food!" she grabbed the Burger King package from his hand and began examining what was inside.

"You're very excited for the food," Justin mentioned, his face clearly displayed how amused he was at his girlfriend. His heartstrings tugged at her sight while opening her burger like a kid on Christmas morning. "What were you doing?" he asked glancing down at the crumpled papers in her desk.

She huffed and sat on her bed. She tapped the space beside her, and he occupied it. "It's for my English Literature. I'm supposed to write essay about what I think of the government and its weakness."

"And how is it going? Not so good from the looks of it," he commented while grabbing the paper she just stop writing on. And then he began reading and ate at his own burger.

"That's an understatement," she huffed. "I can't write anything useful." She angrily bit down on her burger, some of its contents spilling onto her lap.

"Okay," Justin tried hard not to laugh. "There's no need to get angry on your burger now." He chuckled under his breath.

She glared at him, before swallowing down. She ignored him and turned to eating the fries inside the package.

He ran his eyes on the paper once again before placing it back on the table. "It's actually good." He's going to admit it, his girlfriend's actually got brains. Not that he thought she didn't, but she's smarter than he originally expected.

She scrunched up her nose at him. "Not good enough though."

"I take it you're an achiever and a perfectionist," he said with raised brows.

She munched on her burger. "Perfectionist? Kinda, but achiever? Hmm... a little," she shrugged. "I wasn't a straight a student, but I'm not failing either."

"You aren't?" His eyes widened in a mock shock. "I was thinking you were in the brink of failing every class," he joked with a cheeky grin.

She glared at him and smack him upside the head. He laughed in response. "When did I give you the impression of being dumb?" she asked, her eyes wide. And then she thought of an evil come back. "Oh, right. When I answered you with a yes." She laughed hysterically.

"Oh," his eyes widened and was actually trying so hard not to laugh along with her. "Is that it?" he asked placing their food on the revolving chair. He turned to her with a mocking glare, and an evil smile playing at his lips.

"Uh-oh, what do you think you're doing?" she asked innocently, her breathing hitched both with excitement and nervousness.

"Oh," he tilted his head. "I don't really know, sweetheart," he smirked and pounced at her.

She squealed in response, her burger flying from her grip. He hovered over her and began his quest. His hand made a beeline at her belly and tickled her, "Charge!" he yelled playfully and tickled her until she squirm. Her laughter rang in his ears deliciously, like a song he couldn't stop listening.

"S-stop!" she squealed helplessly while squirming beneath. "Justin! Stop!" she said in between fits of laughter.

He laughed too, his eyes twinkling down at her. "No-uh. You basically said it was dumb for you to make me your boyfriend," he sniggered and continued with his torture.

She laughed, her feet thrashed in the air. "Stop! P-please!"

"No-uh. Not until you take it back," he said in between laughter. He tickled her further when he received nothing but her giggles and laughter.

They were in between laughter when the door opened. Justin's hand stopped in their torture, and both of their hearts stopped as they snapped their head towards the door.

A clearing of a throat. "Is everything alright?" Karen Robustelli asked with an awkward voice.

"Yes," Samantha managed to squeak, her breathing labored as she tried to even her breathing.

"Jesus, that wasn't what I expected to see."

"Jasper!" Samantha's eyes widened as her eyes took in her brother gawking at her inappropriate position. She pushed Justin slightly and untangled herself from him. She smiled at him apologetically. They both stood up next to the bed.

Justin flushed. What a great first impression.

"I didn't know you were coming back today," was Samantha's words. And then she shook her head, "Never mind. That doesn't matter. You're here now," she smiled awkwardly and then breathed. "I promised we never did anything," she blurted.

Karen laughed. "Okay, I'll be back downstairs."

Justin felt like he needed to say something. He opened his mouth and rattled the first words he could utter, "But we really didn't though!" he called out to Karen's retreating figure. And then flushed more when Karen only replied with her laughter ringing in their ears.

They fell silent for a moment. Justin and Samantha were both trying to breathe normally.

After a few moments, Jasper cleared his throat.

Samantha snapped her eyes at her brother. "Oh, right!" She grabbed Justin's hand and dragged him to face her brother. She stopped in front of Jasper and cleared her throat. "Brother, this is Justin," she smiled meanwhile pointing at Justin, "Justin, this is my brother Jasper."

"Hi, nice to meet you," Justin said with a smile, his hand offering a shake.

Jasper gripped Justin's hand and shook it. "Hello, nice to meet you too."

After the awkward encounter upstairs, the three resumed talking while walking down the stairs. They settled in the living room, and situated across the TV.

Surprisingly, Jasper didn't bring up the welcome scene he walked into earlier, but Samantha doubted he'd let her leave unscathed from his teasing. Knowing her brother, she'd never hear the end of it. And most importantly, it would be the talk for dinner.

And indeed, it was the talk. Two hours after chilling in front of the TV and catching-up and getting to know one another, they had dinner with Samantha's parents. Justin tried to reason to get out before dinner, but Karen wasn't having it. Nor did Jasper. They were so adamant on letting him stay for dinner. Especially Jasper, because he wanted to get to know him better, he had said.

The whole duration of the dinner, Justin wanted the floor to swallow him alive. No, not because he was worried, but instead because Jasper had been such a tease. He couldn't let go of what he had witnessed up in Samantha's bedroom. Thankfully, Daniel, had been a good sport and just laughed along. But not before speaking about not wanting to be a Grandfather just yet, and reminding Samantha that school's got to be her first priority.

That must've been the most awkward dinner he had in a long time.

"Hey, can I talk to you privately?" Justin turned to Samantha with a small smile.

She nodded and whispered, "Sure." She stood up and walked towards the kitchen where they could have some privacy, and he followed suit.

"Don't get into it you two! I might have to get water, and I don't to witness you guys getting at it!" Jasper called out teasingly. They both flushed, faces so red in embarrassment.

"Shut it, Jasper, or I'm gonna castrate you while you sleep!" Samantha called back, glaring at her brother's head. Jasper only laughed at her threat. Samantha turned to Justin and smiled guiltily, "Sorry about my brother. He can be a pain sometimes."

Justin chuckled, playing with her fingers. "That's a bit of an understatement." They both laughed.

Samantha tucked her hair behind her ears. "So? What are we supposed to talk about?" she asked innocently, her unique eyes staring at him in curiosity.

He stared back, and his heart strings pulled in his chest. Who would have thought he'd have this kind of romance with her? It's like one second, she came in and saved him from the deepest and darkest time of his life, and landed him in La La Land.

He didn't know what to make of it, but the butterflies in his stomach clearly whispered "in love". After getting his heart broken by the woman he thought he loved with all his heart, he never thought of having some kind of whirlwind romance this soon.

She breathed nervously, trying to search answers from his eyes. But they never gave away anything. She was nervous. She'd never had a boyfriend before, and she didn't really know what to do about it. But from what she had read across the internet and books, it is said that when the words "talk" and "privately" escaped from a man's lips, that might be an open gate for "break-up" or something like that.

She gulped. What if he thinks I've gone clingy?

These past few days, Samantha had noticed herself that she couldn't go around the house anymore without her phone in hand. And they also had been texting and calling non-stop. Maybe he got tired real quick? She'd never really know until they talk it out.

Samantha had promised herself not to get too attached to Justin. Seeing the picture the media has painted him, and the distance that his job might bring, she doesn't want to get too attached. And also, she doesn't want to be branded as clingy. And she'd never want to make him feel strangled by their relationship.

"Right, um... I've got tour coming up," Justin said after a few moments being silent. He ran his hand through his hair, before resuming playing with her fingers. "And," he licked his lips, "I might not see you as often like these past few months."

Samantha's heart thrummed. She almost forgot that he was indeed the Justin Bieber. These past few weeks had been great with him. And he never made her feel like he was above her or something. "Right," she whispered. "I totally understand." Now she understood if he decides to take off and break the relationship.

Justin searched her eyes. "No, no, no, don't get that idea," he gripped her chin and tilted her head to look at her in the eye. "I'm not going to break us up," he whispered. "I'm just saying that, I'll be on tour once again. We actually were getting things together these past few days. But that doesn't mean I won't see you. I will visit you as often as I can."

She nodded in understanding. She almost sighed in relief. At least he didn't break them up. She didn't know what she'd say if he did.

"Yeah, yeah. I get that," she breathed. But then the thought sunk in. She'll miss him. She pouted. "But I'll miss you." She got scared when she blurted that out.

He touched her cheeks and ran his thumb across the lower of her lips. "I will miss you too, baby," he said truthfully. Just the thought of not seeing her face, hearing her laugh, and experiencing her company for the next few months brought an ache into his heart. "But hey, maybe you could visit me while I'm on tour. And then we'll travel and go see some sights. And be the perfect couple tourists," he suggested to bring lighter air.

She giggled, and nodded. "Because yeah, my parents would be totally down for that."

He chuckled, and brought his face closer to hers. "Who knows maybe I could make them say yes?" he smiled boyishly, his laugh lines appearing next to his eyes.

"Hmm... maybe," she whispered, closing her nose to his and rubbed them together. They smiled. "I will miss you a lot," she said.

He pouted. "I will miss you too," he sighed. "I love you, Sam."

"I love you, Justin." And then they closed the gap and kissed.
