Out in South Park

Rosalynn is not your average teenager. She loves to draw, skateboard, hang with the guys, and is quite innocent. Her dad's job requires her family to move quite often, so when he lets them know the day after school ends for the summer that they have to move. No one is really surprised. They pack up and head out of California to a small little town in Colorado called South Park. Rosalynn has no trouble getting friends, but what happens when she falls for one? Why does she feel so close to everyone right off the bat? Why is South Park such a weird town?
(The cover art I did not draw. It's from Deviant Art by the user kamaniki. I also do not own any of the South Park characters and landmarks that I will use, obviously. That credit goes to Trey and Matt.)

30. Valentine's Day

*Some Days Later*

“Just ten minutes to the New Year,” Wendy smiles.

The two of us have been chilling in her kitchen for some time just to escape all the people.

“And then I have to leave,” I sigh and take a sip of my hot chocolate.

“Where do you have to go?”

“Kenny and I have something to do. That’s all.”

“Ah, I see. So, will you guys kiss at midnight?”

“If he gets his ass in here.”

“I think you two are the cutest couple in South Park. Getting together, all you do when you’re together, and all that is so cute to me. I can see you two getting married and living into old age together. That’s a good relationship.”

“Well, your relationship with Stan is quite perfect to me. You guys went through a lot, but still got together. That’s so awesome to me. I can see you two getting married as well and living into old age together.”

We go silent and just sip our hot chocolate. Music drifts in from the living room and the clock creeps closer to midnight.

“Rosa!” Kenny bursts into the room, with thirty seconds until the New Year. “There you are.”

I smile, place my empty mug on the counter, and turn to face Kenny. “Didn’t think you were gonna come kiss me.”

“It’s our first New Year together, I have to,” he rushes over to me. “I’ve been looking for you for some time.” His lips connect with mine as cheers erupt.

*Thirty Minutes Later*

“What happened to the Playboy?” I ask as Kenny lightly pushes me onto his bed.

“I put them away, I didn’t want them to freak you out,” Kenny hovers over me.

“That’s very considerate of you,” I run a hand through his hair.

“Now, I’m going to lead you through this. Slowly and as gently as possible. The safe word is cupcake, all right?”

“Cupcake, safe word, got it,” I nod. “Are you going to make me breakfast in the later morning, since it is morning now.”

“Whatever you want Princess,” he kisses the tip of my nose. “Let’s just do this first. One thing at a time.”

“Oh yeah, sorry. Lead the way.”

“I will. No worries there.”

*Sometime Late That Same Morning*

I wake slightly chilled with a baggy t-shirt my only article of clothing. The events of last night slightly coming back to me. There was no pain, but I do remember getting a lot of hickeys. Those will be fun to cover up.

Kenny’s arms wrap around my waist and pull me into him. “Ah, Princess, last night, best I’ve ever had.”

“That’s good. I had a wonderful time as well. Was I good?” My stomach rumbles and makes Kenny chuckle. “I guess I’m kind of hungry.”

“Well, we can go make breakfast. Anything you want. Well, to the limit of what we have.”

“Do you have eggs and bacon? And bread for toast? Oh, and milk?”

“We do, actually. Is that all you want?”

“Um, yeah. You didn’t answer my question though.”

“Sorry. What was it again?”

“Was I good? It was my first time and all. I don’t feel innocent anymore.”

Kenny presses a kiss to the top of my head. “You were perfect in every way. Not that I let you do too much. And you are still so very innocent in my eyes. Even as you moaned my name, I still saw you as the sweet, innocent girl I feel in love with.”

“I love you.”

“I love you too. Now, let’s get up, put on some warm clothes, and make that breakfast.”

*A Week Later*

“Welcome back,” Mr. Garrison nods to the class. “I hope you had a good break, but know we have to get back to work.”

“I can’t wait for Spring Break,” I whisper to Kenny.

“This semester is going to be tougher than the last. I believe you can all pass my classes with a high A. As long as you try. First thing that we are going to do, is take some pretests.”

The whole class groans.

“They aren’t long, and all you have to do is give some effort to get credit. Now get a pencil out, and once everyone is done, you can do whatever you want.”

“Let’s get this over with then,” Kenny whispers back to me.

*The Next Afternoon*

“Are we actually going to cook or something this semester?” I ask the Home EC teacher, Ms. Spencer. “Like, doing laundry and cleaning dishes is nice. But there’s more to life than that. I want to learn to cook. Can we do that?”

Ms. Spencer nods a few times as if thinking it over. “Hm, well, if everyone else wants to, I think we can. Girls, do you want to cook?”

The whole class blurts out yes at different times.

“Well, then I guess we must cook. Um, get into small groups and make lists of foods you’d like to make. The list can be as long or as short as you want. Then tomorrow we will come together as a class and make the final list of what we will make in the class. Sound good?”

*Little Over A Month Later*

“So, are you doing anything tomorrow for Valentine’s Day?” Kevin asks as we sit down in a booth for our break.

“Kenny is taking me to a fancy restaurant,” I answer, my thumb messing with the ring Kenny gave me. It’s on my middle finger on my left hand and I rarely take it off.

“That’s very nice.”

“What about you? Have you asked Red out?”

“I kind of did,” he runs a hand through his hair. “We are getting together tomorrow to go to a drive in movie with some others.”

“Aw, that’s progress,” I tenderly smile. “One day, one of you will make the move. Or, I can.”

“No, no, no, that’s okay. I’ll do it. On Spring Break.”

I laugh, “All right. I believe in you, it’ll be a good thing to do.”

*The Next Evening*

“You are too amazing for bringing me here,” I smile as Kenny and I sit down at our table for two at South Park’s fanciest restaurant.

“It’s Valentine’s Day, I have to treat my Princess,” Kenny smiles and reaches across the table to grab my hand.

“You saved up a lot for this, didn’t you?”

I probably saved too much, but I had to go all out for our first Valentine’s Day. I’m wearing a suit and you’re wearing a sexy blue velvet dress. This is going to be amazing.”

“Spending time with you on my couch would have been just as amazing. You’ve outdone yourself.”

His cheeks redden at my statement. “This is why I love you so much.”

“I can get anything, right?”

“Anything. Go all out. Save room for a piece of chocolate cake, though. It’s the greatest here.”

“Hm, all right. What are you getting?”

“Steak with a baked potato with a small salad.”

“Then, I’ll get a chicken sandwich with potato slices and a small bowl of chili.”

“That sounds like a meal you’d love.”

“That’s why I’m getting it. It’s not a normal meal, but it is what I’m craving and the first thing that caught my eye.”

“Another reason I love you. You don’t give a fuck about anything. You’ll do what you want no matter what.”

“Is this whole night going to be you telling me reasons why you love me?”

“If you want.”

“And that’s a reason why I love you.”

Hope you liked it! It's just a tad short. More coming. :D
