Out in South Park

Rosalynn is not your average teenager. She loves to draw, skateboard, hang with the guys, and is quite innocent. Her dad's job requires her family to move quite often, so when he lets them know the day after school ends for the summer that they have to move. No one is really surprised. They pack up and head out of California to a small little town in Colorado called South Park. Rosalynn has no trouble getting friends, but what happens when she falls for one? Why does she feel so close to everyone right off the bat? Why is South Park such a weird town?
(The cover art I did not draw. It's from Deviant Art by the user kamaniki. I also do not own any of the South Park characters and landmarks that I will use, obviously. That credit goes to Trey and Matt.)

32. Sick

*A Week Later*

The Easter service started with singing, and then the pastor gave a small prayer. Now a play is going on of Jesus’ death and resurrection. It’s rather interesting.

“Is this almost over?” Kenny whispers to me.

“Almost. Twenty more minutes. Then it’s the Easter egg hunt,” I don’t take my eyes off the people on the stage.

“How long will that take?”

“Twenty minutes, I don’t know. Please shut up so I can watch the play.”

“Sorry, I’ll leave you be,” he kisses my temple.

“Thank you,” I grab his hand. “Now pay attention.”

*A Few Days Later*

I stand before Kenny, my eyes trained on my shoes, and my hands messing with the hem of my shirt. “Kenny, I’ve been meaning to tell you this for a few weeks now, but I keep wimping out.”

“Well, the halls are empty, so let it out,” Kenny says.

“Um, ah, I am…pregnant.” I takes a lot not to smile and give myself away.

“What? Really?”

“Yes. I’ve been to the doctor and all.” I bite the inside of my cheek.

“Well, your dad is going to kill me, not that it really matters since I’ll just come back. But, I’m going to be here for our baby,” Kenny grabs my hands.

“You’re not freaking out?”

“No, we can handle a kid. It’ll be fine.”

“Oh, well, one more thing then,” I slowly look up at him.

“What is it Princess?” He sweetly smiles.

A huge smile over takes my face, “April Fools.”

Kenny’s face loses the smile and goes into complete shock.

“Babe?” I wave my hand in front of his face.

He blinks a few times before pouting and pulling his hands out of mine. “I hate you.”

“Aw, come on. It was funny, and perfect. Are you sad to not have a kid?”

“I mean, you got me all worked up over nothing. That was mean.”

“Aw, I’m sorry Kenneth. I just had to do something to you on April Fools.”

“I hate you.” He can’t stop the smile that slowly spreads on his lips.

I smile back, “I love you.”

“Let’s just get to lunch. Everyone must be wondering where we are.”

“All right. Let’s go.”

*The Next Day*

“Last time I was in this position, the girls won,” I smile as I end up being the last girl standing for dodgeball. “Let me catch one, or don’t let me catch one. I’ll come back either way.”

The five boys still in the game chuck balls at me once I finish talking. I dodge them all and actually catch one.

Wendy joins me on the court, and after a quick high-five we get to quick work taking out the last four boys.

“Rosa shouldn’t be able to play, she’s over powered,” Cartman complains.

The girls instantly sass back at him, but I shut them down before it gets out of hand.

“How about I start this next game already out?” I propose. “So they have to get back in.”

“That sounds interesting,” Kyle says.

“Let’s do this,” Cartman smirks. “Rosa, get to the sidelines.”

*The Next Evening*

“You know what’s crazy?” I look up at Kenny.

We’re huddled together on my house’s front porch swing. The stars fill the sky, and it’s just a tad chilly.

“What’s crazy?” Kenny asks back.

“We’ve never really had a fight. Just that one time before we dated when I asked about Tammy. I don’t really call that a fight though.”

“Hm, you’re right. That’s odd, but a good thing. Fighting isn’t something I want to do with you.”

“I’m sure it’ll happen one day, so let’s just appreciate this no fighting while we can, I guess.”

“I’ll always appreciate my time that I spend with you. No matter what.”

I smile, “Well, if you don’t mind, can you carry me to my room and we can appreciate each other while we sleep.”

*A Few Weeks Later*

“Go Kenny!” I shout along with the crowd as Kenny is up to bat.

The baseball season is finally into full swing, and the boys are on a winning streak. It’s been amazing to watch the boys dominate every game.

This is the last inning, and Kenny has the bases loaded for him and two outs. A homerun would be the end of it, but a double is what they need to tie the game.

Kenny swings and misses; a pitch almost hits his foot. Then one goes right down the middle and slams one out of the park. The crowd goes wild as the boys round the bases. The South Park team stands at home plate waiting for Kenny to make it there so they can smother him in a group hug.

As the celebration continues on the field, I make my way out of the stands. I want to be one of the first people to hug the boys.

I stand near the entrance to the locker room, and as the boys go by, I give them all a hug. Congratulating them on another amazing win.

“Princess!” Kenny picks up in a bear hug. He is the last boy to make it to me and I know he did that I purpose. “Say, since this is like the middle of the season, is it time for that winning game sex you promised me months ago?”

“Back at my house, of course,” he sets me back down.

“Well, then you need to go take a shower,” I push away from Kenny. “And then we can leave and do that.”

“I’ll be as quick as possible then,” Kenny smiles. “In the meantime, you can wait in my truck. Or talk with the girls.”

I quickly kiss his lips before turning and walking off. I love baseball season.

*The Next Day*

“And this is based off of The Catcher in the Rye, right?” I ask Kenny as I look over the program. Krystal and Cartman’s names are big on the front page as the main people. It makes me smile.

“Yes, that’s correct, but it’s very lightly based on it,” Kenny answers. “I helped build the set and I was at some of the play writing to pitch ideas for the set.”

“Didn’t Stan help build some of the set with you?”

“And Butters, Craig, and Tweek. You could help next time.”

“I could, that would be fun. But I don’t know how to build anything.”

“We could teach you in just a few days. It’s not that hard once you learn how to do everything. And we don’t do that much. You could always do the easy things anyways.”

“Then I guess I’ll have to do it.”

“Good. It would be another way to be together as much as possible.”

“That’s very true. So, what is this play about?”

“A boy is kicked out of boarding school and doesn’t know what to do. If he should go back to his younger sister or run away with the love of his life. I think you’ll really like it.”

“Even if I don’t, I came here to support my friends, and that’s what I am going to do.”

“You love making everyone feel like they matter. Don’t you?”

“Of course. Everyone deserves to feel loved and that they matter. It’s like one of the purposes I have in life.”

*A Couple Weeks Later*

“Ugh, dress shopping again,” I whine.

Wendy laughs, “It will be okay. Don’t whine. Just find a beautiful blue dress like you did last time.”

“Yeah, and then help the rest of us find our dresses,” Nicole smiles.

“Let’s just repeat last time,” Krystal jumps into the conversation. “It did go very well when we were here last.”

“I think I can pick out my own dress this time,” Bebe crosses his arms over her chest.

“Awesome,” I smile. “Now, Prom is next weekend right?”

“Correct,” Wendy nods. “It’s easier to get a dress close to the date so then you can’t change your mind.”

“I see,” I bite my bottom. “No play is in our way this time. So we can spend as much time as we want here.”

“Thank goodness,” Bebe releases a breath. “I have to go find some shoes once I pick out my dress.”

I survey the store and look for shades of blue. “I just need the dress. Then I have to head home for game night at my house.”

“That sounds like fun. We’ll miss you when we go shoe shopping,” Nicole pats my shoulder.

“Yeah, you’ll be missed,” Bebe slightly glares at me.

I shove it off and walk over to a long, silky, light blue dress. “I think this is the one for me. Now, who else needs help?”

*Next Week*

“Can you please stop taking pictures?” I groan as my mom positions the camera once again to take a picture of Kenny and me.

“Oh no Suzy, you’re embarrassing her,” my dad teases.

“Just one more,” my mom pleads.

“It is fine, Princess,” Kenny kisses my temple. “We don’t have anywhere to be just yet. A few more pictures is not messing anything up.”

“When will you two be home?” My dad finally asks the question I’ve been waiting to hear.

“Well, Wendy is having a little party afterwards, so I was hoping Rosa could just come home with me,” Kenny answers. “I understand if she can’t, and then I’ll get her home as soon as the after party ends.”

“That’s fine, Kenny,” my mom says before my dad speaks up. “I trust you will keep our daughter safe. Bring her home tomorrow if you must.”

“Suzy, are you being serious?” My dad shockingly looks at my mom.

“Thank you so much mom,” I rush at her and kiss her cheek. “See you tomorrow.” I reach back and grab Kenny’s hand. “Come on Kenneth, let’s go.”

*Some Hours Later*

“Last song of the night, and of course it’s a slow song,” I smile as I rest my head on Kenny’s chest.

“That’s how it always is.”

“I know, it is just funny to me.”

“Are you still up for a little fun after this?”

“What about Wendy’s party?”

“We don’t need to go to that. She’ll understand if you don’t. Besides, do you really want to go?”

“Um, no. Not really. I want to spend the rest of my night with just you.”

“That’s good. I cleared the house out so we could get some alone time.”

“You could always ask me to just get us a hotel room.”

A laugh travels through Kenny’s chest and makes my head swim with lovely thoughts. “I could, but I think my room is the best place to do it. A hotel room feels too much like a one night stand.”

“I guess so. I’m getting pumped for it now. Those special times make me feel so loved. It’s not just sex, it’s more than that.”

“I make love to you, that’s why.”

I close my eyes as we continue to sway with the music. “I think that’s beautiful. Another reason to love you, Kenneth.”

“It’s a way to show you I love you,” Kenny kisses the top of my head. “You’re different than any other girl I’ve done it with. You deserve to get special treatment.”

When the slow song ends, the two of us rush out of the school and quickly get into Kenny’s truck. Eager to get to his house.

*A Couple Weeks Later*

“Are you okay Kenny?” I tilt my head to the left slightly, place my hands on my hips, and stand in front of my sick looking boyfriend.

“I’m fine,” Kenny grumbles and leans back into the couch.

“You don’t look fine dude,” Stan says. “You sure you’re okay?”

“Yes, I’m fine. Just a headache. It’s nothing,” Kenny makes eye contact with me. “I promise.”

“You’re gonna be okay for our date tomorrow?” I question.

“Yes, I am not canceling that.”

“What are you guys gonna do?” Kyle asks.

“We’re going out to the country to look at the stars,” I answer. “Like, in the bed of his truck.”

“That’s a cool date idea,” Butters speaks up. “You two are always going on cute dates.”

I smile and gently sit down next to Kenny. “We are just doing what we think is interesting or that we love. The stars are something we both love to look at.”

“Can we just play some video games?” Cartman groans. “That’s why we’re here.”

I giggle, “Fine. What game should we play today?”

There is one more chapter. Then this story is over. I can't believe it, and I don't want it to end. So, the last chapter won't be up for a few hours. Like, four. Hope you liked it! :D
