Out in South Park

Rosalynn is not your average teenager. She loves to draw, skateboard, hang with the guys, and is quite innocent. Her dad's job requires her family to move quite often, so when he lets them know the day after school ends for the summer that they have to move. No one is really surprised. They pack up and head out of California to a small little town in Colorado called South Park. Rosalynn has no trouble getting friends, but what happens when she falls for one? Why does she feel so close to everyone right off the bat? Why is South Park such a weird town?
(The cover art I did not draw. It's from Deviant Art by the user kamaniki. I also do not own any of the South Park characters and landmarks that I will use, obviously. That credit goes to Trey and Matt.)

29. Christmas

*Some Days Later*

I stand atop the stairs of my house looking down at my boyfriend who is smiling like an idiot. “Not going to say anything?” I smirk.

“You look beautiful,” Kenny smiles. “I can’t wait to see you all dressed up again for Prom. That’s even bigger than this. Get a blue dress to.” He straightens the shirt of his blue tux. “I only have this blue tux, because their damn cool.”

I laugh and walk down the stairs; a pair of black flats in hand. “Driving me in your truck?”

“Of course. That’s okay, right?”

“I love your truck,” I lean up and peck his lips. “I convinced my parents to stay away, but I can’t promise that for Prom.”

“That’s fine. I can’t stand Prom pictures,” he chuckles.

“Good. Now, let’s get going.”

*A Few Hours Later*

“Are you having fun?” Wendy asks.

I shift around in Kenny’s lap as he insisted that I shouldn’t have to sit on a dirty school chair. “Yes, I am. I just needed a break from dancing or I’d really tire myself out.”

“Her legs are tired, so I suggested we take a seat,” Kenny pulls me closer with his arms around my middle.

“I can see that you decided to take one seat,” Stan chuckles.

“You think you’ll enjoy Prom as much as this?” Wendy asks.

“Probably more so because it will be warm out,” I answer. “And it’ll be a bigger deal, and only juniors and seniors will be there. Plus the occasional sophomore and freshman.”

“It is a little bit better when only a certain group is allowed in and not the whole school,” Kenny comments.

“Well, I think we will leave you to whatever it is you were doing,” Wendy grabs Stan’s hand and pulls him away.

“I was thinking,” Kenny whispers to me. “That after Prom, we would go back to my place and have a little fun. I’m sure we will have had sex multiple times before then, so it will be fine.”

“I think that isn’t that bad of a thought. I could do that.”

Kenny kisses behind my ear, “I love you, Princess.”

“I love you too, Kenny.”

*One Week Later Or So Later*

My brain is fried after three days straight of tests. They weren’t hard, just way too long. I’m sure I aced them all.

“Damn, those tests,” Wendy sighs as she sits down at the lunch table.

“Way too long,” I add in.

“At least Christmas break starts tomorrow,” Krystal points out the silver lining.

“Thank god,” Nicole opens her milk.

“Anyone having a New Year’s party?” Bebe asks.

“I think you mean to ask if Wendy is having a party,” I smile as start taking food out of my lunchbox.

Wendy laughs, “I may have a small party. I’m still waiting for my parents to let me know if they are going out of town for those days. So, I’ll keep you all updated on that.”

*The Next Day*

“We haven’t had a movie night in so long,” Stan plops down on the couch next to me and places a bowl of popcorn between us.

“School can be such a fucking bitch,” Kenny scoots closer to me to reach the popcorn.

“At least it’s over for a few weeks now,” Cartman shoves a lot of candy in his mouth.

“What movies are we watching tonight?” Kyle asks.

“Christmas movies, duh,” I laugh. “Sorry, but Christmas is next week, so it seemed right. Do you know any Hanukah movies?”

“Not any good ones. But don’t worry about it. It is fine,” Kyle smiles.

“Has everyone done their Christmas shopping?” Butters shifts around on the floor. “Or in Kyle’s case, Hanukah shopping.”

“Just got done yesterday,” Kenny answers.

“I ordered all my stuff online, and they should arrive soon,” Kyle says. “I participate in Christmas with my friends, Butters. You know that.”

“Yeah, but Rosalynn doesn’t,” Butters shrugs.

“I’ve been done since Black Friday,” I shove a handful of popcorn into my mouth. “I have to deliver everyone’s presents on the eve.”

“On the eve?” Kyle questions.

“You are a dork,” Kenny kisses my temple.

“Shut up,” I pout. “Will you guys come over on Christmas or not?”

“We will,” Stan replies.

“Karen and I will be over on the eve,” Kenny teases.

“You suck,” I shove Kenny. “Someone start up a movie.”

*A Few Days Later*

“Thank you so much,” Tweek smiles after opening his present.

“No problem, Tweekers,” I quickly kiss his cheeks.

“I will fill it with water, or hot chocolate,” he admires his new reusable coffee cup with his name on it. “Did you paint my name on?”

“I did. Is it good?”

“I love it. Thanks for thinking of me.”

I give Tweek a long hug before leaving Tweek Bros Coffee.

All day I’ve been out giving my friends their Christmas presents. It’s a great feeling when their faces light up when they open their gift and it’s something that reflects their personality or a love of theirs.

For Ike I got him an Ocarina of Time since his favorite games are the Legend of Zelda series. Jimmy got a joke book of jokes from his favorite comedians, and Timmy got a camera to attach to his wheelchair and take pictures when something exciting happens in front of him. I got Craig some toys for his guinea pig because he said he didn’t need anything but Stripe (his guinea pig) was in need of some new toys. For Ruby I got her some headbands so she doesn’t have to do pigtails every day. Bebe got some cute scarves, Clyde got a baseball bat with his name engraved on it, and Kevin got some notebooks so he can write. I got Krystal a music note charm for the bracelet she’s always wearing. Token had me get him some CDs of his favorite artists, and Nicole asked for a super cute locket necklace and I got it for her. Then lastly, I got Wendy some guitar picks, a book, and a small sketchpad for doodling and love note writing.

I quickly hop into my car and start it up. The heat instantly filling up my car.

A smiles forms on my lips as I look over at the passenger side filled with presents. I carefully place the small box Tweek just gave me on the small empty spot on the seat.

“I have the best friends ever,” I place my phone in the cup holder and get ready to back out of the parking lot. “Now to get home to my family,” I turn the radio on and back out.

Nice Christmas tunes fill my car as I drive home.

*That Night*

“So, Wendy’s having a New Year’s party,” I smooth out my nightgown as I exit my bathroom and look at Kenny all snug in my bed.

“Do you want to go?” Kenny asks and opens the covers for me to climb in.

“Yes, I think it would be fun,” I turn the lights off and rush into Kenny’s warm embrace.

“Well, then we will go,” his lips place a kiss right under my ear. “Then, when it ends, I was thinking, um. That we could got to my house. We’ll be all alone, and then we could, um.”

“Wow, you’re all flustered, that’s new. I understand though, and, I feel so comfortable with you. I know you’re my soulmate. There’s no doubt about it. I love you so much. So, I think I’m ready.”

Kenny pulls me closer, “I love you so much, Princess. You’re the best.”

*The Next Morning*

“Okay, it’s the kids turn,” my mom smiles.

“Who is up first?” my father asks.

“Karen,” I blurt out.

“Yeah, go Karen!” Ashlyn smiles.

“Oh, um, okay,” Karen nods and begins to go through her presents. She gets a couple stuffed animals, a few pairs of earrings, two necklaces, a couple different outfits, and a very colorful dress from me.

“Man Karen, you really got a lot this year,” Kenny puts his arm around my shoulder.

“I know, thank you all so much,” her face lights up with a smile.

“Now, it is Ashlyn’s turn,” I look over at my sister.

“Going by age?” Kyle asks.

“You five should be with your families,” my mom sighs.

“Don’t worry ma’am,” Butters says. “They said it was fine to come over. We promise to hang with them all evening.”

“Enough of that talk,” Ashlyn rolls her eyes. “It’s my turn.” My younger sister gets a lot of makeup, a couple outfits, some earrings, and CDs of her favorite bands from me. “Thank you, everyone.”

“Now, Stan, you’re up,” I snuggle a little bit into Kenny.

“You’re just picking at random, aren’t you?” Stan grins.

I shrug, “You’ll never know.”

“You’re a weird girl,” Stan chuckles before opening his gifts. He gets video games, gift cards, some shirts, and some new tools for woodworking from me. “Ah, thanks guys, very nice. Love them all.”

“All right, Cartman, your time is now.”

“Sweet,” Cartman smiles and just tears into his gifts. He receives gift cards, video games, a new pair of tennis shoes, a cat calendar, and some cat toys from me. “Thanks everyone.

“Now, it’s Butters’ turn.”

“Oh golly,” Butters smiles. “I can’t believe this.”

“Oh, believe it.”

“You’re a part of this group of friends,” Karen sweetly smiles. “You deserve presents and love.”

“Golly,” Butters cheeks become dusted with pink. “I’ll just open my presents.” He gets some books, a couple shirts, a video game, and from me a pair of drumsticks with his name engrave on them. “Wow, this is all so nice and thoughtful. Thanks so much fellas.”

I smile, “You’re very welcome, Butters. Kyle, it’s your turn.”

“Oh, okay,” Kyle seems a bit shocked, but gets right to opening his gifts. He gets a lot of books, three video games, some socks, a couple t-shirts, and from me a big bag of strawberry flavored treats. “Thanks, very thoughtful. Better than my Hanukah gifts I got.”

“Almost done with presents,” I intertwine Kenny’s fingers with mine. “Can you open your presents with one hand?”

Kenny chuckles and pulls his hand out of mine, “Sorry Princess, I’ll hold your hand later.” He kisses my cheek before opening his presents. He receives some video games, a couple shirts, some new throwing stars, some new headphones, and a new Polaroid camera from me. “Wow, this is a lot. More than I could have ever ask for. Thank you all.”

“Ah, looks like it is my turn,” I sit up a little bit. “And I have the most. Sorry about that.”

“Best for last,” Stan smiles.

“He’s got that right,” Kenny tucks a piece of hair behind my ear. “All right, start opening.”

“Okay, don’t rush me,” I giggle. From Nicole, Clyde, Ruby, Ike, Token, and Bebe I got an array of art supplies. Timmy and Jimmy got me notebooks to try and keep a journal of my life. Wendy got me a beautiful summer dress with a pair of flats to match, and Krystal got me a cute glasses case since mine is just a boring black. Craig got me a cute beanie with the pansexual colors and says ‘Art’ on the front. I got a hug tin of cookies form Kevin, and cookie recipes from Tweek with a not saying we’ll have a cooking date soon. Ashlyn and Karen got me two pairs of Converse high-tops, Kyle got me a seven book series, and Butters got me some really cute socks and mittens. Cartman got me a few Gameboy games I’ve always wanted, and Stan got me a new Polaroid camera. “Um, Kenny, where is your gift to me?”

“Right here,” Kenny hands me a small box that he was hiding in his shirt.

I take it and slowly open it. Inside is a ring with a small blue diamond and is very beautiful. “Oh, Kenny, this is so pretty. What is it?”

“A promise ring,” Kenny answers. “It is cliché, but I saw it at the store and had to get it for you.”

“That’s very sweet of you,” my mom speaks up.

“Well, all the presents are open now,” Karen says. “What do we do now?”

“It’s time for breakfast,” I smile and slip my new ring on. “So let’s go!”
